    Your Special abilities

I can make you read my post...See!
  2. The brain is an organ, and as all the organs of the body it is susceptible to illness. For example. We know that stress and poor nutrition, or bad eating habits lead to heart disease, which can eventually become genetic. The same is true for the brain. People should learn to overcome their fears of those who suffer with mental illness. If a person with heart disease exhibits symptoms, such as shortness of breath, dizziness, or slurred speech; we do not make fun of them, because we are educated to those symptoms, therefore familiar. However, with the brain, most people are not educated to the numerous symptoms. Bearing in mind that the brain is really the main organ controlling many functions of the body, when it is afflicted, those symptoms are complex. More research is needed to gain a better understanding of the chemical, electrical, stress, and physical factors involved. Until then, the best we can do is educate ourselves to those symptoms so that instead of calling afflicted people names like "crazy" which makes them more isolated, often leading to suicide; we can make it easier to discus this matter and seek help for their condition. After all, long ago in some civilizations, if a person passed away from a pain to the heart, it was assumed they had evil in them; wherein those communities the heart was thought to be the dwelling place of the spirit, which is understandable considering that organ is where most living creatures feel a greater sense of love and sorrow. As a result, the family members of the departed kept the cause of that departure a secret so they would not be looked upon as being in commune with the devil. It took a lot of courage, time, and research to overcome such a stigma. This view of "mental" illness to shall come to pass, and most people of the world will eventually know that the brain is an organ that can be repaired like any other organ in the body, and not some mysterious un-ka-nown realm. Also, there are things we all can do to reduce the risk of brain illness, such as proper diet, bright attitude, hygiene, stress relief, etc. Laugh more, go to POTD and post a funny picture, meme, or gif. LOLOLOL!!! I'm not advertising. Just that sometimes instead of waiting for good things to come to us we have to make it happen. Make somebody laugh, or even smile today. In turn you will reduce your stress, as well... B) Conclusively, if you or somebody you know is suffering from brain illness (mental illness) do not be ashamed to talk about it. You might be surprised how communication alone will make you and that person feel somewhat better. There are also many online support groups for people who are suffering the same. Chatting with those who you can identify with is beneficial in treatment. Hopefully your doctor would advise such a reputable support group. :)
