I believe an in-game translator is planned, which will make it a lot easier to communicate with players who speak a different language to you!

CTF: The aim of the game mode is to capture flags (not get the highest score) this explains why you don't get any crystals if you don't capture any flags. TDM: Usually when I've played a very tight TDM, the crystals distribution is quite equal over both of the teams, winning team obviously with the larger chunk.
