I am not sure how the ranking system is worked out.

There is nothing wrong with being a buyer. I only buy when I get a DBC, and I only purchase items when there is a sale. This game is too expensive otherwise. I think that the items in the garage should be cheaper and the points between ranks should be less. At my rank I am in the top 150,000 players. When you consider how many players are meant to play this game, than that shows how many do not bother to continue once they get to a certain level. And to me that is because its to expensive and takes for ages to rank.

True :) But I did have some luck ... when they did a 50% sale on paypal recently I also got a Double Bonus Card. So yes I stocked up on cystals ... and as you know by reading my comments on the railgun I regret upgrading that turret. But I have no regret upgrading Shaft :D

Slowly MU my M3 Shaft! This is turning into my favourite gun. I played it in island and I got some comments from my teammates to change weapons when I entered as most people had fire and freeze and they where shocked to see a shaft. But after 5 minutes play, they respected this gun ..... it can pick of people in arcade mode quickly and when a mammoth took the center point all my team mates looked at me to take him out. :)

I think they are changing kits this month and this combo will go. They said on the video that you will not be able to buy items that are over your current rank. :ph34r:

So I have been playing for four days now with a fully M4 Railgun. I have mixed feelings, like today it was performing well. I lined up 3 vikings in island and took them all out on one shot. Then the next minute I have a M2 hornet with isida charging me and I couldnt kill him. I think its just with the amount of cystals spent I hoped to see it perform at the highest level more often. And I still think it was a mistake to MU it and I should of brought the M3 Mammoth and Twins. :angry:

I was given some money to spend on cystals and decided to fully upgrade my M3 Railgun. So now I have a M4 railgun, and to be honest I wish I had not done it. I should of brought the M3 Mammoth and Twin kit. Maybe I was expecting to much from a M4 gun, but sometimes it can not even kill a M2 Hornet. Although if you drug it, then it crazy. Wish I could give it back and get something better for my cystals :(

Yes ... it does help ...... I use it when I need to rank up a bit faster.

Anybody brought the M3 Mammoth / Twins kit? Is it any good? With the changes coming in kits this will be the only chance to get M3 Mammoth for awhile.

Remember on Monday is 25% discount on upgrades and no costs for waiting time. So the perfect chance to M4 as much as possible. For me M4 rail and M4 Shaft :)

wow ..... I just got a double bonus card as well :D So time to stock up on some cystals!

I have fully MU my m2 firebird in Damage and Burning Time, and it was worth every cystal. This with a M3 Hornet is a powerful combination against any rank, and will serve me well for all upcoming battles, until I can rank up to get M3. Planning to buy M3 Viking in the next sale, so looking forward to see how this performs with Firebird.

Just a thought while we are all thinking about spending our cystals in the upcoming sale hopefully. I have M3 hornet, Rail and Shaft. But I find myself using my M2 Firebird more than my M3 weapons. Now I have to admit I do have it fully MU in damage and Burning Time. But I am comfortable in any battle situation with this turret, and if I use drugs it can eaisly take care of M3 Mammoths. So maybe investing in our current weapons could also be advisable. As for me in the sales; a Viking M3 please.

With a sale coming soon hopefully .... what should I buy? Currently I have M3 Hornet, Rail and Shaft. As I have just ranked up I am looking to buy Viking M3. But I can not decide between M3 isi or M3 freeze. So should it be isi or freeze ?

Guys we know how this works. You will get a 50% discount twice a year. Once at xmas and again on tanki birthday. So save your cystals, buy when you get the double discount card, even better if you get this and they are also offering a 50% payment discount, than you can buy at a 75% discount. Don't waste your cystals when they offer meanless discounts and twice a year go shopping :)

This is a stupid sale and makes no sense. My next upgrade for M3 railgun will cost: 2919 plus 5823 for speed up. So that equals 8742 cystals. But woopie I can get this at half price which is 4731. Which means I pay 1812 cystals more for the pleasure of speeding up. :angry:

I was on sandbox with somebody with this combination ..... and I could see how this would work well. But I guess you need it at M3 level?

This is my M2 Hornet - Shaft combination - which I love. I have been thinking lately what would be better Hornet or Viking with Shaft. I am getting closer to being able to get M3 stuff, and I need advice where to spend my cystals. I do not like to park ... so heavy hulls are out of the question, I prefer to move and take quick sniping shots. So the speed of Hornet is great, but would the added protection from Viking be better? How slow is viking? What are your favourite Shaft - Hull combinations and why?

Why ..Why ... Why do tanki online hate Shaft users so much :( After the changes to turrets, everybody was saying that Shaft was now useless. But as a shaft user I changed to a Hornet - Shaft M2 set up and went out to prove them wrong. And my game improved and I was loving the quick hit - run (hide) and then quick hit again ..... a style that performed really well. Now the new maps have ruined that style of play ..... nowhere to hide for the 8 seconds waiting for the recharge. And belive me 8 seconds is a long time standing there like a lemon; when everybody loves to kill the sniper. The only positive is seeing Madness again.

I think this is an excellent comment. One other difference between railgun and shaft for me, is the success rate of hitting the target. Because the tanks are much faster now, it is slightly harder to hit a Wasp or Hornet. I would say I have an average 80% success rate with the Railgun. With Shaft I have 95 - 100% success rate. I might not always get the target I was aiming for, because he might of moved out of sight to quickly, but then I move the gun around (slowly) and hit somebody else. I perfer not to Park with a heavy tank, but move around with the Hornet. Sine the sale I have been using Shaft as my main turret and love it. All I want now is M3

I also brought Rustle paint to help protect against Thunder.

In the sale I had to choose between Thunder M2 or Shaft M2. I am so glad that I choose Shaft. I use it with Hornet (M2), with a hit and run tactic. I might not be top on the points, but yesteday I came 3rd in a 15 DM. Even in maps like Sandbox it works well. Brillliant to use and really annoys the enemy, the only thing is that you become number one target. I have Firebird M2 (second favorite gun) and railgun M2, but I am always playing with Shaft now. I am using upgrades to try to improve rotation speed, which is its biggest fault. But if they fixed that than I think everybody would use it.
