I have recently become aware of a very sad event that I feel I must share with you. Cheap_Plastic_Flower, regrettably, has been confirmed dead. He has not shown any signs of life since April 4th. The cause of death remains undetermined; however the experts say that he either wilted or was murdered by one of his enemies. Cheap_Plastic_Flower was a great companion to us all with an incredible wit. His 919 confirmed posts were appreciated by many a tanker1. Personally, my favorite was this and I quote: Protect Murders and Rapists. Jail a Pot Smoker today! Cheap_Plastic_Flower took trolling to a whole new level. More importantly, he showed us that buyers don't get banned no matter their trolling! The topics he created were always good traps, and other tankers always fell for them. His claim as the greatest tanker of all time, proved by a supposed screenshot2 , showed that he too was human. And now he is gone. What a loss! He kept the forum interesting. I originally saw this idea on the Feedback forum (Someone has to go vote no on all the stupid noob ideas) and I thought it was an interesting idea. Basically, short range guns have all the advantages when it comes to earning crystals/xp. See below. If a long range gunner(I use M3 twins in my main), so I am unbiased) joins a small map game, the short range guns will almost always beat the rail or smoky or thunder and the long range tank will get very few crystals. So, of course, the long range gun should play a bigger map. Since the only large maps on the servers are usually 1 or 2 of Kungur, serpuhov, desert, or 2042 clearly very few long range guns use large maps anymore. Why don't they? Crystals. A long range tank can easily win in a large map, but for the same amount of time, the long range gun tank winning in a large map will earn maybe half the crystals of a short range gun playing for the same length of time in a small map. So a long range gun can: Play in small maps and usually lose OR play in large maps and earn half the crystals that short range guns earn. This doesn't seem fair to long range guns, since long range guns cost just as much as the short range weapons but earn crystals slower. I don't expect tanki to significantly improve rail/thunder/smoky stats. But tanki could add a few more xp/battle score for a long range kill (Say over 100 yds). This would do two things: Reward people for playing large maps, which is good since they aren't played any more, and: Increase the battle fund faster in large maps, so that long range guns would be able to earn crystals almost as fast as short range guns. I can make a freeze guide too! Two components: equipment and gameplay style Equipment: Hornet, Wasp, Viking, and mammoth are best. Dictator is too tall, and hunter just isn't used as a freeze platform much. At M1, hunter, hornet, mammoth. Viking works okay but the other mediums are better. At M2, wasp, hornet, mammoth and vikiing At M3, hunter, wasp, hornet, viking, or mammoth. A good isida, freeze, or rail paint never hurts. Gameplay: Play CTF or Free for all. Deathmatches aren't as good for freezes as they are for isida/flame. Light tank: run in circles around enemies. Try not to get shot. Steal Flags. Bog down and ruin gameplay. Medium tank: an excellent setup. Sit in a covered location by your flag and play defense, help a teammate steal a flag, or drug and steal a flag. Bog down and ruin gameplay. Heavy tank: Drug like mad. Steal flags. Sit on top of your flag and make enemy flag steals impossible. You can't be beaten. Bog down and utterly destroy the gameplay and equality of the teams. Always play in small maps. Just drug, drug, drug your way to the top. Play in a mindless boring fashion and you will win every time. OR, use a real gun involving skill!! An Anonymous Alt (AAA)
