In this guide I will list out most of the best sniping/camping places in both teams in popular maps. Don't forget to put mines around you or your hiding place's entry to prevent enemies from attacking you while you are in scope mode. If you see a drugger hornet or wasp, try to shoot right at the tank's top to flip him. You can find the Shaft guide Here. Map: Rio Blue Team: 1. Here you can watch the 'Main Road' of the map. Decent amount of enemies will get through here. Also if they took your flag they will most likely go back to their base from here so you can take this chance to get 20 points. 2. Here you can snipe your enemies' base and the corridor between the two teams. You can do the last defensive move just before your enemy captures the flag. Also the gap here mostly everybody will walk past. 3. Here you can watch over your base and prevent enemies from taking your flag. Also you can snipe the 'Road' on the right hand side to prevent enemies from sneaking in your base. Your enemies cannot shoot you because of the fence unless they get beside you. 4. Here it's quite risky because enemies can come right next to you can kill you because of the spawn points near you. But you can watch your enemies' base and flag, watch over your OWN flag, and the ramps up the building. Red Team: 1. Here you can watch over your base and prevent them from getting away. The fence beside you can protect you. Don't forget to hide behind the fence while you are reloading. Also if you put your tank slightly outside the edge you can snipe the 'Road' on the left hand side. 2. In this new map they have these tracks going downwards and upwards beside the 'Beach'. There are 2 kinds of these tracks, one is deeper and one is upper. So if you go to the upper ones (there is one right at the back which is perfect) and you can snipe openly without being seen. People saw me (or maybe not xD) but they didn't attack me for a long time... 3. This place is hard to get to because there is always enemies there, but if you grabbed the chance (maybe drug a little) and get up here, don't forget to put mines around here, you can kill a large amount of enemies who just got up the ramp without being killed. 4. You can easily come here through your base, then you can snipe this area (trust me, be patient it's worth it!) and wait for your enemy. Remember to hide behind the blue building when reloading to prevent enemies discovering you and come in here to kill you. (you can lay mines if you want) I personally think the blue team is better. Althought the red team had more sniping choices, you can get more guaranteed kills. Map: Sandbox 1. This map is one of the most popular maps in Tanki but this is definitely not a good map for shaft. The house near the red base is the only hope for shaft. If you are in blue team, then good luck xD (i recommend you to change your turret immediately). Just hide behind the house and choose one side to snipe. Map: Stadium 1. Here you can spawn-kill enemies and watch over both team's base. I recommend you to hide DIRECTLY behind the white block so that enemies cannot attack you.Before you poke out your turret to snipe, be caution of snipers in the other team, go into scope mode after they shot or You are sure that they are looking somewhere else. 2. ​Here you can watch directly over your base and once you exited scope mode, hide behind the white block and wait until you have charge again. This can be applied to both sides or even teams of the map. Since this map is 'reflected', both sides are the same. 3. This place you can spawn-kill enemies as same as the first spot but you can hide your whole tank behind the ramp which NOBODY can attack you (unless enemies...druggers came to you <_< ) . I don't like this sniping spot because you can't see what's happening on the map because the ramp blocked the whole view. But you can also watch over your flag though. 4. Here you can snipe the upper level of the stadium. Or you can move forward up the ramp and snipe the whole pitch but it will be quite exposed. Flag stealers will capture your flag using that route where the red arrow is so that snipers that are in places like 1,2 or 3 cannot kill them. But you can kill them if you snipe here. I play on this map every day, you can get kills very fast especially when there is m1 or even m0 :D players running around. I will strongly recommend you to use a heavy hull (mammoth) and a rail / shaft protection paint (prodigi). Map: Silence Red Team: 1. This place was already famous for shaft and rails camping long before moon silence was even added. All you do is wait for enemy, snipe, kill, and hide again. You can also watch over your base which is just behind you. 2. The reworking of maps had added this new ramp here. What you don't know (maybe :P ) is you can hide below is with a small hull and kill enemies who attempted to get in your base and steal the flag. They won't even have a clue where the shaft is!! :lol: 3. Here you can snipe through buildings and kill enemies who tries to get into their own base with the ramps. Also you can protect your own flag, snipe the ramp on the left hand side, and players coming from the right hand side. Sounds pretty good, but this place is so exposed pretty much every enemy who walked past without you killing can kill you easily. 4. Here you are very safe, especially from druggers. If enemies from blue team comes down you can immediately kill them. If you know you cannot kill them (like druggers or mammoths) don't do ANYTHING just let them go and don't let them know you are there. You can also put some mine in front of you in case they found you. 5. Lastly you can snipe anyone coming towards your base and then hide behind the 'Tower'. You can also snipe the 'Blue base hole' which most snipers snipe there. Not to mention killing enemies coming through the middle. Blue Team: 1. ​Pretty obvious this is the most popular place for shafters since moon silence. Althought the reworking of maps changed this place a lot, it won't stop us from sniping enemies down below. Remember to hide behind the fence when others are attacking you. you can do this if enemies are too low and you cannot kill them in a normal way. 2. Here is pretty much the same as silence 2 before the reworking of maps. Preventing enemies from coming from the left hand side ramp and the middle where there is a new ramp being built. you can also kill enemies where the red arrow is if you are accurate enough. 3. Here you can prevent anyone whoo tries to get in your base via the ramp. If you have low health or druggers came, just drive backwards and hide behind the building while reloading. Map: Serpuhov Blue team: 1. Here you can snipe over your own base to prevent enemies from stealing your precious flag. Hide behind the building while reloading because enemies may come in your base using the place on the left. 2. Here you can snipe enemies from coming out of the 'main exit' where the arrow is. And if you are an accurate sniper, you can kill the flag holder who drove through the big yellow house from the right hand side. The bushes here can hide you from other snipers. Also be careful of enemies coming down from the left hand side!! 3. You can kill anyone who drove through what i call a 'Main Square' or enemies who tries to sneak in our base from the far far entrance. 4. The good thing about this map is that there is a big bridge where you can hide right under it and wait for your enemy to appear at the slope in front of you. Nobody can see you from there. :D 5. Just hide behind the rock and wait for your enemy to appear on the bridge or the 'Main Square'. I Recommend you to put a mine behind you just in case. Flag stealers will most likely walk past you and you can easily destroy them. Red Team: 1. Same as the blue team you can hide under the main bride and wait for your enemy to appear. but this time enemies will appear from both sides that mean more kills instead of more deaths because same thing, they can't see you there :D . 2. From here you can basically snipe every enemy unless they are hiding. But you must hide behind the red building to prevent yourself from being killed. Flag stealers will also most likely go back to their base straight throught the 'Main Square' or throught where the red arrow is. Which both you can easily kill them.# because it is too exposed for you. 3. Here you can kill anyone who comes up through this place. The bushes can hide you from them so they will drive right towards you which means an easy kill. Map: Polygon 1. 2. 3. These are all perfect sniping spots and easy to get to...because they are spawn places! But because they are spawn places, don't forget to put some mines around you in case somebody else spawns there and you are in scope mode. 4. Here is not easy to get to because it is quite far awy from any spawn points. But once you get here you can snipe basically the most crowed areas and hide behind the ramp while reloading. 5. I think this is the best place for shaft in this map. Hiding behind the ramp while reloading, and snipe through the gap between the ramp and the pipe. Nobody will actually fin you there. But just put mines where you came through and kill !!!!! 6. Here you can snipe the centre where most people go there. And don't forget to keep an eye on the spawn point in front of you. 7. Here you can snipe the other end of the map where people with long range weapons camp there. (where the red arrow is) But it's quite risky because the spawn point right behind you and in front of you. :ph34r: In Polygon it's always in DM mode therefore spawn points are so near you. Mines are very useful and the map is not very big so HIDE!! Map: Noise Blue Team: 1. In map Noise it's basically blue team-defence, red team-attack. So its extremely important for shafters in blue team to get a good spot and not being killed instantly. So here is a good spot to just watch over your flag and hide from enemies coming from all directions. 2.

bad thing is people joined a battle and pressed the 'battle' button. so they will be in that battle for 5 minutes but not doing anything. others cant join. for example I played a hill ctf , there was only 2 people playing in our team but when I press tab, 4 players are here.
