My thoughts on this is that with Tanki straight up copying features and mechanics from the other popular games of similar genre, the fact that it isnt a proper Keyboard mouse game is really harming its progress. As a result the devs have to think of more and more convoluted gameplay features which just keep adding to the useless complexity of the game Tanki back then was unique and for me, thats what attracted me to it. If its just trying to become a typical game, then there are many better free to play games out there, Paladins for example, has no Pay to win features, is free to play and is prospering. Yes the game is a bit buggy but compared to Tanki its way more lively.
