The same problem happened to me once or twice. I thought about doing that but it didn't help at all.

Yeah that can happen. Once I saw a Brigadire Shaft that sniped. When the alert appeared, he drugged immediately but stayed in his place (that wasn't even close to a Drop Zone) and continued sniping.
