Technology (Personal Devices) ¨Out of the world’s estimated 7 billion people, 6 billion have access to mobile phones. Only 4.5 billion have access to working toilets.¨, A quote from Times News. This quote is disheartening. Technology has woven its way into civilization. It has gone so far that more people have phones then they do toilets! A toilet is a necessity, a phone is not. Technology should be a convenience, not a necessity. When it was first invented, technology was only a convenience. Over the years that technology became more advanced, it has become more of a necessity. A complete ban on technology would put even a school into chaos. However, according to a study by the London School of Economics, schools that ban students from carrying phones see a clear improvement in their test scores. When people give up their phones to authority, they can focus better because there is not that constant threat of a text or a new post on facebook or twitter. “But there are many good things to technology. How would we build some of the buildings we do without it?” someone against my argument might say. While this response to my essay might be true, I am not saying we need to completely stop using technology. We only need to put it back to a convenience. If we can not live for a week without technology, we are helpless. If we did not have to spend money on technology, imagine how much money the US would have. 96% of the world’s population has a technological device of some sort. What about the other 4%? They are living on streets and are poor. Many people could give up one of their devices and still have more so why can’t we give to other nations to stop their homelessness and poverty. Why are we so addicted to technology that we spend millions of dollars buying it? Money that could be used to stop poverty and famine. Money that could be used to send water to drought stricken nations. There are many good attributes to technology, however, there are also many negative points to it. I know that many people would throw out the idea of less technology the second they see it. I know that some people are attached to technology so much that separation is impossible. Even so, technology is a hindering factor to sociality and friendship. I do not know how people can sleep with 15 personal devices when they know that 4% of the world does not have a single technological advantage. If we are so self indulged as to not see past the curtain of technology, we are helpless.

Using supplies is not something to be ashamed about, as others want you to believe, it is actually something you should be proud of. When you use supplies it means you had a surplus of crystals or got some in something like Players Vs Helpers. Some say "You are a noob" or "You have no skill" when you use supplies but do not let them get to you. This article will show you how to use supplies effectively. The Basics To use supplies you have to press 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, to activate Repair Kit, Double Armor, Double Damage, Speed Boost, or Mines respectively. If you do not have that certain supply type then you can not use it. You do not have to spend crystals on supplies because there are pickups. They contain one of the type of supply they are. All supplies last for 45 seconds, except for the repair kit which lasts 2 seconds and healing 200 Armor points per second. The prices of supplies are fairly cheep but if you buy stock of them they cost a lot. Double Damage, Armor, Speed, and Mines cost 50 crystals. The Repair Kit costs 150 crystals to buy. To get 10 of each would cost 3,500 crystals so to get 20 of each it would cost 7,000 crystals for 40 of each 14,000 and so on. Double Damage is used to deal double the regular damage of your turret. It allows you to kill an enemy twice as fast and sometimes before the enemy can even respond. Double Damage is very good with railgun. It allows you to one shot up to a viking of the same modification. Double Armor is used to have the enemy deal 50% of the damage they would normally deal. Double Armor is really effective with heavy hulls. You can withstand many hits and survive. Double Armor can also be used to have an enemy with Double Damage deal only the regular amount of damage. Double Armor is good for golds so you can survive twice as long. Speed Boost is used to give you 30% extra speed for 45 seconds. Speed Boost has many applications including attacking. Equip a light hull, use a Speed Boost, and drive into enemy territory before they can react. Please note: Sometimes Lhamster's sneaky chicken will spot you and tell the opposing team. Repair Kit is primarily used at low health. It will allow you to fully repair your health bar if you are injured. If you are holding the flag with low health and an attacker is coming, use a Repair Kit to be able to defend with full health. Mines are used to deal much damage to the enemy team. Upon contact with the enemy, the mines will explode. Destroying even an m3 Hornet most of the time. Placing mines in high traffic areas can get you a few kills. When to Use Supplies There is a specific time to use supplies. If a tank is about to shoot and has Double Damage then you should turn on Double Armor to just take the regular damage. If a tank has taken your flag and turned on Double Armor use Double Damage to hurt him and give your teammates a better chance of killing him. Same with if an enemy has nitro, turn on Double Damage to destroy him or badly damage him. You can also lay a mine in a high-traffic route to kill or damage an enemy. Many times, if you can manage to click on a supply at the last second, the enemy will not be prepared and you will be able to kill or badly damage him, depending on your health. Using a Repair Kit while going against a freeze, isida, or firebird can be crucial. If you are almost to the flag holder and are being shot by on of the said turrets, use Double Armor then Repair Kit and you can continue on. Smart Cool Downs There are smart cool downs that do not allow you to use all supplies at one. Smart cool downs were implemented on September 29, 2014. The smart cool downs shut down other supplies when you use a certain one. There is a flaw in the system, however. Learning how to use that flaw can be a real advantage. The flaw in the system allows you to activate Double Damage, Double Armor and Speed Boost all at the same time for 10 seconds. This can be done by activating Double Armor or Double Damage then Speed Boost, and finally either Double Damage or Double Armor (Whichever one you did not choose). Also, Repair Kit will be available when you do this sequence. If you park your tank in a protected area the do the above sequence you can attack the enemy base with full arsenal and, if you are playing in CTF, get out of the base before you die.
