Does anybody know where I can read more about this update related to limited drugging? I'm not even sure what to search for. Shaft is a great weapon but it sucks when people drug 24/7 and attack because IMO that spoils the game. I only use drugs if I absolutely have to but then the game becomes really boring, there's no stealth.

Had a long drawn game in my alt account today but it was worth it: The highest scorer on the blue team was drugging 24/7 and that was so annoying because I hate drugging but I had to use about 12 double power supplies because of him :/
-
At high ranks, it's very rare to not come across a drug war :P
-
Personally, I think Shaft is more suitable for team games. Preferably CTF because you just have to move around close to the flag and the enemy will come to you. Shaft is definitely a defensive weapon, IMO.
-
It's not too bad at higher ranks, either.

Shaft with a heavy hull is fine in a DM if you're in the right map. In a DM, Shaft is best on the blue team on Highlands. There's a building at the very far end of the map (right next to the spot where the flag would be in a CTF). You camp there and drop a mine behind you to protect your read and you'll top the DM, every single time. In a CTF, the red team is best. Camp behind the container close to the arch entrance and you have a perfect view. I usually get a D/L between 20-30 in this position. If you're on the blue team, you should be at the top of the ledge, next to the pipe. Hang over the edge of the ledge a little so that if you turn your turret, you can see all 3 entry points. Point your turret to the center entry point so that you have a 360 view. The moment you see an enemy approaching, immediately turn your hull and turret together (instead of just the turret since that is slower) and work your magic.

It's a ton of fun to clip the top of light hulls as they fly off the ramp because they flip over on their side :) IMO, you're much better off not living in scope mode. Only get into scope mode when you need to otherwise you'd be missing a ton of opportunities for kills.

I don't think Titan is ugly but I was responding in the context of whoever said it was ugly. Frankly, I only find the mammoth, dictator and wasp ugly.
-
I'd rather be an ugly badass than a pretty poof :p lol

How about auto save? Most editors have it. I either use Sublime Text 3 or vim. Atom is looking pretty interesting too (https://atom.io/)
-
Oh man :/ Saving is automatic now. My hand automatically goes to Ctrl + S every few seconds. I've also hooked up Git to my save so that on ever save, a `git add .` is triggered. Happiness :)

Me too, only because of all the cross browser compatibility issues...but I really have to learn more JS because I really want to mess around with AngularJS. Seems like a pretty sweet framework. The browser wars really set us back a decade or more :/

Mines are useful in times like that, no? :)

I use a somewhat MU'd M1 Titan so a Freeze usually has to recharge once before it can kill me. I try and stay around objects that I can use to trap other hulls so if I Freeze comes towards me, I try and maneuver them to that spot and then wait till I'm done charging to shoot them. One of the hardest tanks to kill in the game, for sure.

One of my better days :) I would have died 3 times more if an Isida hadn't healed me those times. PS: What's the tag for spoilers?

A quick tip for Shaft users: If you want to help your team when they are catching a flag, hit your opponents just enough so that you don't kill them but their hp is very, very low so that whoever is going for the flag can kill them. If you kill them with your shot, they will just re-spawn (perhaps, in front of your team mate who just stole the flag!) with full hp and attack. And for gods sake (this goes out to all weapons), when there's a massive opponents hull coming at your team with an Isida behind, don't even bother attacking the big hull until you first kill the Isida. That's common sense...because if you hit the big hull, the Isida is just going to heal it.
-
Oh sorry, what I meant to say is that I usually get a lot more kills before I get destroyed (again a lot of the credit goes to isidas) so 40/3 is kinda low, comparatively. I see an average D/L of 20+ so it kinda sucked to get killed those times because of druggers. I hate drugging but I had to use a few to defend against a freeze and a thunder that kept drugging non stop.
-
It's not because I did well, it's because a lot of tanks just ignore me lol that makes it easier to destroy them. Plus, if you have a good Isida on your team, the credit usually goes to them.
-
For those that think Shaft (M1) is not good at higher ranks: This was on a bad day btw because of a bunch of druggers that kept killing me.
-
Agreed. In Silence, on the red team, there's a spot behind that red container near the flag. That's my favourite spot :)
-
I usually stay in one place throughout a game and come out as the top 3 with D/L's between 10-30 on average so I don't think that's a bad thing but I do think it's a terrible thing to just stay in scope mode all the time. I'll occasionally move one tank length forwards and backwards to get a good angle to shoot at someone. I completely agree with you though that Shaft is fine as it is. If it's made any faster or does more damaged, it will be over powered.
-
I tried Rio out but couldn't find any solid spots for a Shaft like I could in Silence. Any hints? :)

Thanks. Banned? Lol, for trying to help? There should be some kind of feature to report users then.
