yes it's true mate! I do accept the fact that their should be buyers and stuff for them. The thing is Tanki shouldn't over do this. Don't you think that being drugged from beggining to the end of a game like some buyers do, is itself an enough advantage already?

Hey everyone, I m writing this post to give you guys a general idea about what i think about those upgrade kits available to be bought at the garage. Please feel free to share your opinions with me. It has been some time since i have started playing over the internet. I don't want to call myself a pro gamer or something like that but i do enjoy playing some games with others in free time. I joined tanki around an year ago and i must say that like most of you i fell in love with it immediately. The game was very well balanced and though the buyers did have an edge over the non-buyers that edge could be overtaken by skill itself alone. In my point of view it is this balance that allow Tanki Online to reach vast number of players through all of those years. Though it was like that, recently TO has been making some severe mistakes that i think should never be made by online gaming companies. Tanki started to monetize the game and give the buyers a huge edge over the non buyers. First they did this thing called rebalance and now they have introduced those kits that can be bought by anyone at anygiven moment regardless the rank. I know the fact that it's buyers that are keeping this game alive and that it's their money that is invested to make this game better, BUT I DO NOT ACCEPT OVERDOING IT. It will surely cause the loss of huge amont of players. Let me show you some examples of some sites that lost their player base because of the above fact. Chesscube- i was an avid chess player ( and still am) and i was playing on this site called chesscube. The site had a good player base of around 20k players online at any given time until they introduce this system called cubits which monatized the site. They lost most of the players because of this and most of them moved onto other free chess sites available. I recently heard from one of their admins that the servers of the site were moved out to different places because of lack of money. Ikariam - Ikariam was an online RTS game which was initially free to play. After gaining some reputation and a good player base they too made some changes that allowed buyers to have a huge advantage over the non buyers and this too ended in nothing but the loss of huge amount of players. That was how NOT TO monatize a site. But there are some ways that you can do this while keeping the player base intact. Tribal wars - This is another browser based RTS game that currently has a good player base. They too added a premium features that can bought, to the game. But what they did was keeping the advantage the buyers had over the free players minimal. For ex- 1) they added servers that can only be played by only buyers, thus giving them a better gaming experience. 2) Allowed everything that buyers could do to be done by free players but with more spent on a free player account. I do think that the above examples show that where we (tanki online) are heading is not that good. :( Who knows what we may see in the recent future? A private firing at a generalissimo with a M3 thunder and a M3 Mammoth? Please feel free to share your ideas with me on this. What are my last words? PLEASE DON'T DESTROY TANKI ONLINE. i would add a campaign mode to tanki online which can be played with friends over the internet :p + Add some more hulls and turrets with different abilities for exampla a turret capable of firing mortars or artillery shells that take a hell lot of reload time :P I wud also lv to add a combo meter or someting lyk that so wen u make a certain killstreak u wil b given a special weapon or something lyk that. last i wud compress and allow all the maps to be downloaded to all the players so the game wont take much time to reload :P :p

Ageed :) i agree with irontank too :) all the good players without considering the rank should be respected. Yesterday when i was playing a CTF in iran this guy who was warrant officer 2 did something really respectfull. The game was set for 30 mins and 10 flags. I was the highest scorer of the game with an m1 mammoth and m0 thunder and this guy( i dont remember his username ) was not far behind with few points behind me. He was using an m0 hornet and a m1 isida. When the game was nearing the end this guy got the first place from me by capturing 2 flags. We were clearly winning in that moment and this guy managed to get to their 3rd flag as well. This guy came close to me when he got hit from a firebird( the two of us and some others were attacking the enemy base hardcore) and dropped the flag in front of me and fully healed me and let me capture the flag . This allowed me to take the first place again and the highest amount of crystals in the game. I wish i remember this guys username and that i can play with him again. If i got the chance i will spend every bit of my power ups to help this guy become first. I know this might not look as much for most of you PRO s out there, but still from a noob's point of view it what something that should be respected alot. This is what is called true sportmanship :)
