    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Unpopular opinion - I actually really really like Assault Rounds. The impact force is crazy good, the bullet velocity is phenomenal, and not having crits means I don't have to worry about when they will happen, or if Armadillo or Paladin will nuke my crit damage.

    Drones & Supplies update

I find it a little funny about how many thought that Lifeguard was getting nuked, when in fact it actually became even better. I've been using this drone for a little over 2-3 months now, and it has saved me against skilless ODs such as Viking an incalculable amount of times. No one realized its potential, because they would much rather abuse the meta Defender. Now, I think it might be holding the spot for best drone in the game, and I am so glad I invested into this. It absolutely plows through Booster, Defender, and Crisis users with Adrenaline Vulcan and Crusader. I don't know if it will get nerfed, but I'm really enjoying it so far. For once, I can truly make Defender users ragequit, Booster users wonder how I simply do not die, and Crisis users have an existential crisis on which supply to activate before their eventual demise.

If any of you like to turn off your frontal lobe during gameplay with Slugger, MLH is perfect for you because of how obscenely easy it is to use right now.

    Let's discuss Tesla!

If a turret can practically ignore a 50% protection, then it needs to be slammed headfirst into the ground with a cataclysmic nerf. That is the current Tesla.
  5. I've had battles where my entire team was spawntrapped by Vikings abusing their stupid ODs back to back to back. On a particular Brest CTF, I counted 6 times in a row where the Vikings just kept mowing down the entire team, and we could literally do nothing about. And I thought the old Hornets were broken in how they would instantly delete anything and anyone regardless of what they were using.

    Purchases you regret

Buying and maxing out Viking on 2 accounts.

    Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Isn't that just encouraging camping with Titan and long range turrets?
  8. Hit the nail on the head. Ever since the release of ODs, I have always complained about this particular OD, but people would dismiss this because they were too busy exploiting it themselves. I'm glad to see that people are gradually starting to wake up and see just how huge of an issue this thing is.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Specifically why I always recommend Urban, Hornet, and bushes - not camping, but moving around strategically as a midfielder, picking off heavy targets. The perfect mix of lethality, agility, cover, and situational awareness via OD. Still holds up today.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

    A welcome surprise indeed.

    Let's Discuss Hopper!

What surprised me most upon reading this topic is not the discussions about the OD itself, but the fact that absolutely no one talked about the ridiculous strafing speed that Hopper has. You don't even need Crisis to quickly strafe away to the side and make literally anyone miss their shots. It doesn't matter if the acceleration was nerfed, since the strafing is still absolutely nuts. It should be very obvious that with Crisis after the nerf, it is stupidly easy to dodge shots, and I can only imagine how easy it must have been to abuse pre-Hopper nerf. I'm starting to question if strafing as a whole will ever be nerfed or changed to make it more balanced, or if it'll be like Viking that hasn't been touched for years and still remains a massive balance issue.

    Let's Discuss Striker!

I just realized something. The Uranium "shotgun" has now indirectly received a buff. Since you don't have to worry about critical damage to yourself anymore, the old strategy of running Booster, 50% Orka, Uranium, then going up to people and nuking them like you would with RGC Magnum a while back is pretty much back. Not to mention, it also has the 3 + 1 rockets per salvo now. Crazy stuff.
  13. To be fair, Uranium pre adjustment was stupidly fun to use against camping Juggernauts, as each rocket would do 11088 damage with Supercharge and Booster active. For once, I could actually make the TJR abusers suffer. Then, this change came, and pretty much reverted Uranium to its original state. "OK, Tide, this might not be as bad as you think, but--" Stop. It's just as bad, if not worse. Yes, we have lost the massive crit damage, but in return, we get the ability to literally take 99% of a heavy hull's HP away with one salvo, and for multiple targets. Don't forget that it has the feature of reloading the next shot near instantly, so that translates to stratospheric levels of damage. And if you think Uranium's lethality has been killed for JGR hunting, well guess what? It'll still demolish them just fine, just a teeny tiny bit more than it used to a while back. So, uh, yeah, this sure is weird.
