I have had this happen once and it was due to the fact that I got disconnected from the internet, were you having connection issues?

It's to prevent stealing work from others, for instance I could download and re upload to my channel one of the pre-existing entries without an intro and post it, my nickname would be on the post and the video on my channel. Though the judges could remember seeing the video earlier and disqualify me.

The ending is a little abrupt, are we allowed to add the "poster" for that battle and wrap up our commentary there? (That is if we can find it) or would the contest pic be ok.

Wow after watching the entries so far I know what to change, tomorrow I will re-do the recording with some minor changes. Still not happy that I only have the computer mic so it pics up fan noise. Are we allowed to post a draft of the video here?

The one annoying thing is that the video has no audio, so I can't hear when a flag is captured, so on the first go around I missed a capture.

Aint nobody (In high school) got time for dat! Wait when is the Starladder season, summer? My parents talked to me about jobs to have during college and they said something along the lines of radio, narrator or something that involved speaking, so this might be good on a resume ;) . So I guess I can talk to my parents about being a commentator, they're very protective of me, especially on the internet, in a good way though.

Cool, I'd like to be a commentator and many people tell me I have the voice for it, but I don't have the time to be at most of the streams, or equipment. If you win this do you have to be a commentator or can you decline and just accept the crystal prize?

It was a little frustrating, blender didn't scale some of the faces properly so I had to fiddle with them for a few minutes. I don't have much skill in photo manipulation so my textures are not so great.

Anyone have any idea what went wrong in this render? I made a short animation with a ww2 tank driving down a road with a flag on it, when I looked at the scene in render preview the lighting looked like daytime, and when I actually rendered it it looked like dawn or twilight. Secondly the cloth simulation did not render in the final animation, so the flag looks like a stiff plane on a pole. Whenever I render the image on my personal computer the lighting is fine, it only happened on my parents desktop computer, as far as I know the lamp was on the same layer. My computer graphics teacher had me make a very quick tutorial on how I made the scene, that will be uploaded to YouTube at some point so you can see the animation there, but in the mean time this is what it should look like.

lol I did too, I was in the middle of a field and these Russian soldiers came up to me, and asked for a pen. They said "Don't worry you'll get it back, as insurance her's a T-34." I wonder why they needed a pen so badly?

Found some good tank memes. I am frustrated with a few though, the creator gets the countries mixed up. This isn't Russian! Its part of the "Ghost Army" regiment of the US during WW2, it was their job to create fake tanks (inflatable), and other vehicles, broadcast bogus radio messages and play sounds of a real army moving and setting up camp. The hope was the Germans would see tanks from observation planes, hear the sound of a moving army and intercept radio messages think the army is there and move their defenses away from where the real action would be. It worked almost every single time, the one time it failed there was a mess up in communication (Or a stupid general) and the US forces went where the fake army was, and where the Germans had moved all their artillery, it was not a pretty scene.
