Not so bad, but after I did some tests I can say that unless the player using it is used to it, or has enormous amount of supplies can't get a enjoyable feel out of it. Personally speaking I still like it on a heavy hull.

In the past, after a certain amount of battle fund, Crystal boxes worth 10 crystals or so used to drop from the sky randomly, Gold Boxes were present back then too which were worth more than the crystal boxes, and they looked different than as of today too. Later on they were removed because majority of the players lost focus from the game and just camped to catch those crystal boxes which made the gameplay often boring and 1 sided.

Smoky at My rank with a lot of Micro Upgrades does wonders, at your rank, as a kit suggestion I would say Master of Taiga or Jackhammer would be good. You can also hunt for a kit with ricochet, or Thunder, it isn't that bad as well. If you have supplies then it'd be icing on a cake.

You can't really have a different game mode for it. But if you wish to Join such an event, you can always keep an eye out on the Events Section of our community. To perform these kinds of special events you need some trusted people who can help you with planting mines, so the easiest and the fastest way is to join an official event. Mine hunts are held on a very frequent basis. So you can check the Event Calendar to find it out. Although for this month, its special. Events are not decided, they are going to be randomly chosen everyday at 16 UTC. Links can be found on the TO Fb page.

They all have their own specialities, which makes them distinct from each other and fun to use, that's the basis on which turret prices and hull prices are calculated, popularity might also be a factor. Again, balanced doesn't mean everything has to be equal, it just means, nothing should defy the overall equilibrium of the game.
