I think that's a good decision :) Hull kit is nice but honestly you don't need all those hulls! :p M2 medium I'd be surprised if you managed to save 300k by first lieutenant, but its a great kit... Totally worth it if your thunder and Viking are m0!

Using data from the wiki, taking into account crits smoky does a slightly higher DPS (2600 compared to 2450 or something like that) you might want to check that Smoky has a nice impact force On the other hand thunder has splash damage and has a better range I personally prefer thunder: splash makes it pretty fun and versatile too, the lower DPS is made up by the range IMO Another possible reason is that its cheaper and unlocks earlier :)

Alternatively you could make the cool down for drugs longer if you use them often.. And the cool down will return to normal of you don't use them for a while That would make it hard to drug consecutively... OR you have to wait for the cool down to use the drugs when you respawn

Can anyone make sense of the critical hit mechanic to work out how many crits per minute are expected? (Firing constantly)

Exactly what I want to know. I think crits are much nicer, but I think without them thunder does more DPS and has nicer range....and splash... Personally I'd rather have the reliable DPS and the range and splash (Yeah I made up my mind- I prefer thunder)

Its still not terrible value of you get the kit with hornet rail m2- I think its about the equivalent of rail m3, hornet m3 and needle on a 50% But yeah its not what you want :p you could be saving more!
