Decent article, I have a few points to add. People aren't leaving the game because of light hulls, and even if they are, think about what you would get if you introduced newbies to mammoth at the start of the game. It would just make the game too slow paced for everyone. The people playing xp have been playing for a long time, so when someone new comes in, it's very hard to have a mult (even one who trying to help out) on your team.

There should be a mission for collecting crystals, so once you collect, say, 1500 crystals, you would get, like, 2000 crystals. That way people wouldn't be moulting in battles, they would be playing hard to get there crystals at the end.
