The best way to become a true writer here, is to apply as a reporter (I believe apps are currently open). If you're not accepted, keep practicing, and a dew months later, apply again. Keep doing that until you either give up, or get accepted. And remember, if you copy articles from the reporters in an application to the reporter, I'm pretty sure they'll notice. So, yea, don't do that.

Must agree, I read every single official, and unofficial article let out by everyone. And I'd much rather say that unofficial are copying the officials, rather than the other way around.

D4T, as an honest person, I'd like to address something to you. The very day this thread opened, I was asked to join, I denied with a simple "Maybe later". I didn't deny because I didn't have time, nor because I didn't like the people in the group, but because I knew that in two to three months, the whole thread would come crashing down like a brick thrown down from a cloud. Many have said, which I must agree with, that when the first writers of the official unofficial writers wrote their articles, I quite enjoyed the idea of an unofficial newspaper/group of reporters, I even considered joining it as well. But then, when the topic faded out, and then others tried copying the idea, all it was, was a big fat joke. If you want to become a reporter by showing your gratitude in an unofficial newspaper, at least role out with articles at a set time (nevermind if they're good or not). If, when you are an official reporter, and the due date for articles comes, you can't be like "Give me another day". I'd saying being a reporter is the hardest staff position in Tanki. The reporters work so hard to create an article that's worth reading. Think about it, they put so much effort into their articles, that they never have time to rank up, thus, ranking at the pace of a slug. Now look at you, you're chilled out, half quit Tanki, and didn't even look for someone too take over the club, or even close it. Truly a disaster. Oh yea, and don't get me started on the plagiarism, it's just crazy. If you even become a real writer one day (forget Tanki, I'm talking real life here), and plagiarize someone's book or article, it's a matter of hours before the world here's about it and you're outta business. Remember, plagiarism is another word of "stealing words from someone else's mouth", I learned about it in 4th grade. Be smart guys, because plagiarism isn't just wrong, it can turn into a nasty rabbit. Sorry for being so harsh, but it's the truth.

I don't know, mods/staff members are nice people... sometimes. Many mods have been kind to me, others, have been a bit interesting.

Couldn't find a good battle, so joined some Monte Carlo battle to have some parkour fun. Then gold dropped, and I changed from my noob combo, Shaft/Wasp to Smoky/Hornet, and took the gold :D Wasn't that hard.

Well, that first part, it sort of is a big advantage. I believe I once heard he only plays on certain servers and I know for sure he only plays DMs, and on very few maps: Polygon, Wave, Dusseldorf, etc. So, we know the servers, we know DMs, we know the maps, and now, we know if he's online or not. Plus, if it says "This player is in a battle and cannot read your message", it means he's for sure in a battle. Then there's the excuse that he can disable PMs from non-friends. Well, so far, he didn't. He was online today, I chatted to him and it went through.

Does that mean he's online then (and not even in a battle)?

I like knowing the weird guy that sent them, not recieved them.
