As I mentioned somewhere before, I think the battle mode will be fun on the new year map, because it was intentionally made for such a battle mode, as for maps like Wolfenstein were not. Although, there are actually many maps that would be good for the battle mode: Silence (top base defend, bottom attacks) Madness (top area defend, bottom attack) Camp (one side defend, other attack) and so on... Or... They want us to think that, so we'll be super bummed out about it all, then when they annouce the 55% sale, we go all happy :D

I wanted to troll someone though, so I entered a Madness DM with only one person in it. He killed me once then left, I guess he didn't notice the gold siren though. And I'd like to have the Assault battle mode on the New Year maop only for a bit (as an experiment), and if it's good, to all maps. Hey readers, you obviously know that new year is coming soon, and if you've watched this weeks V-LOG (EP 73.), you know what this topic's about: What we so far know about this year's New Year celebration. All of the following events will be featured in the game for two weeks. From the 25th of December, to the 10th of January (besides the GAME). The new year map: We obviously are getting a special new year map. The map won't only include a gigantic tree, but also a new battle mode (currently) called "Assault". What we know about the special battle mode so far, is that one team must defend their base, while the opposite team will be trying to break into it. [i assume the way this battle mode will work is that there will be a point of some sort, and once the attacking team crosses it, they have officially broken into the base] Unique / special daily missions: There will be a couple of special daily missions to complete, probably similar to like there was during the Halloween (2015) event, except that this time, there will probably be more than just one mission. [i assume there will be an "earn x-amount-of exp on the New Year map" with a nice amount of crystals as a reward. There might also be some kind of mission as "catch a gold box on the New Year map", but who knows?] The gold box: There has to obviously be a special gold box, so the game is giving us gold boxes worth 2016 crystals on all maps. Growing one crystals by the year. Sending gifts to one another: You'll be able to purchase a special item in your garage and send them to you friends with a small note saying something like "I hate you" "Happy new year" [i don't think the items will actually do anything besides look fun, so I don't think they'll cost that much, maybe around 500 crystals each?] The paints: There will obviously be a holiday themed paint for the event, along with a limited time offer paint for premium users (more for them I suppose). [i'm pretty sure the premium paint will have protections, and I bet from Railgun and/or Freeze... Just a thought] Holiday themed features: The game will feature a few (or many) holiday themed decorations. Such as a themed homepage, cool garage looks, which makes it seem as though the tank you're using is in the center of your living room (which I find awesome), cool looking flags and drop zones, and obviously, a cool notification sound for the gold box. [i assume that when Semyon said "custom drop zones" he meant custom drop zones and drop boxes (like last year). Also, I assume the notification sound for the gold boxes will be either a "ho ho ho" laugh or bells jingling, anything like that] New XT tank: Along with all these cool stuff, Tanki will be coming out with a new XT combo: Vulcan XT and Mammoth XT. You can obtain the combo (turret or hull) by either buying it with an active premium account, or win it from a unique daily mission, just like with the rest of the XTs. NOTE: This daily mission will not be part of the limited new year missions, but rather be a rare super mission for Generalissimos. [i assume the combo will cost 1,000,000 crystals in total (500K for turret and 500K for hull), just like the other XTs. Also, we all know that each XT combo is based off some sort of animal (Firebird/Wasp is a bird, Thunder/Viking is a wolf), so I think this XT combo is meant to be based off of a bear] The GAME: The well known quest called "The GAME" will be held from the 3rd - 7th of January (Sunday - Thursday). The way The GAME works is as follows: Every day the quest is on, Tanki will let out a short clip with a hint to a special keyword, the fastest tanker to complete all the keywords in the end will win a dream combo, a Tanki T-shirt, and 1,000 of every supply. Also, every tanker who completes the quest will receive some crystals, so even the losers get something, but the faster you complete the quest, the bigger the amount of your reward is. Sales: There officially will be a sale, but we know absolutely nothing about them yet. We don't know what the sale will be on, nor what the percentage will be, we just have to wait and see. [i assume it won't be 90% off ok] (---) That's all we know about this year's New Year celebration so far. If more info roles (/leaks :ph34r:) out before the event, I'll be sure to update the topic.
