I'm talking about age, not since how long one's been playing TOL... ;) I start posting my age: I'm almost 56 (in about one month) Who can do better?? :) Just curious...

It's getting harder and harder to find TDM matches on the servers. Especially in those at the end of the list. Tankers seem to enjoy much more DM and, as everyone knows, CTF! I don't like much CTF because the result of the match depends too much from the ability of your fellow tankers and being in a team that is losing 20 to 0 and every one in this team seems unaware of what's happening... it's very frustrating! :huh: I also don't like much (though it's good for points...) being in the winning team when your opponent is so weak! In TDM I think you can smooth the differences of ability and have much more playbility.... unfortunately still there are many... kids... who play with drugs all the time! :angry: But having as an objective to kill the opponents being helped by your teammates.... it's what I like most! But it doesn't seem the case for the majority of you... Can I ask why??? Thank you in advance.... ugocon

Still people complaining about this update??? I see that NOTHING changed. I always enter in battles where there ALWAYS the same people full of drugs. You need to spend the SAME amount of money to TRY to survive in a field where sometimes you have to respawn many times before lasting more than 3 seconds!!!! :o I'm really amazed how can other players be ALWAYS full of drugs (I mean not only one... that's easy... ;) ) With this new update you can't push 2,3,4 but you have to wait at least 20-25 sec. before activating the second drug. Are they ALWAS so lucky to catch ALL the dropping supplies??? EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T SEE THEM COMING FROM THE SKY???? :angry: I'm starting to suspect that this a strategy to encourage you to buy power ups in orderd to survive... modified tanks by the developers created to make you angry... and eager to pay for more power! It's always been, but now it seems enforced! Bah! :wacko:

Who said that the cool down would have reduced the use of drugs??? I've just had few DM, TDM and CTF and I noticed always the same story: Tanks that are ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS fulled with at least a couple of drugs... and pretty frequently all 3... plus repair, of course! As a matter of fact... very little change vs. before I don't know if they're so lucky to respawn ALWAYS close to a dropping supply and then quickly add the second one... but it seems it happens to them only, because I very rarely can catch an available drug. To all those whiny snotty kids who massively complained because the toy for reliefing their frustrations of being killed once out of 20 or even more times (they aim to a complete invulnerabilty: easy winning! ;) ) seemed to be removed, it seem they didn't keep their promise to abandon Tanki: all stupid druggers are still there! Annoying like mosquitos.... :angry:

The game is much better now. You use drugs (and buy them...) like it was before BUT you must use them wisely: I need to penetrate a flag defending barrier, I use 4, but I activate just some seconds before using it, then, when I'm on the flag and they're hitting me, I can use 1... or 2.... Practice and smart people (not dumb people...) will soon know how to best use this upgrade. Now the skill, the intelligence and, why not, also the money to buy cristals will help... ....even more than before! Think, before opening your mouth and say kiddish things...! B)

I played the game again with the new supplies.... and I like it much more!!! :D No more stupid kids killing everyone from their undestructable position, getting points over points with no skill used... I can understand that once you are generalissimo, with all upgrades achieved, it "perhaps" can be a shock... but not so sure about that! ;) If some people want to go away.... they are welcome! A generation change is always well appreciated.... :D

I notice many people, as usual, that are reluctant to change... Some even say that new icons look all the same... Man is an adaptive creature: we all will get used to the new style just after few matches! ;) I like the way now drugs are to be used more wisely... but I still don't understand when you can add a second drug while the frist one is still active: after half time's passed? I'll find it out playing... Last comment: I don't understand why all arab players sholud leave after this upgrade (as reported in more than one post) Let me know, please: I'm curious to see how far human stupidity can go... :rolleyes:

It works in any battle type but influences only your personal score: the battle score is not affected I mean if as an example in DM you kill a player, in the battle rank you'll see your points increase of 10, but you total points (left upper corner) will increase of 13

I asked the same question some time ago... It's a "not so immediate" but anyway correct use of English language. In this case "lifetime" means "duration" or "validity": perhaps changing the words would avoid these questions and I notice I'm not the only one who noticed it... ;) It leads to misunderstandings...

I just arrive from a Polygon DM There was a player, Djy-master, who mounted a M2 Twin over a Viking or Titan, not sure. He was pushing 2,3,4 all the time and other players could do simply nothing against him. He was the only one using drugs extensively I tried to tell him in chat that he was acting like a stupid... but he didn't care at all and rapidly was gaining the top of the battle rank. Needless to say I went away shortly after... These stupid people ruin the pleasure of playing, because, especially in DM, your kill rate is extremely diminished... and you get points only if you are the one killing the opponent! These people should be banned, but I know it's not possible. So a strong limitation on power-ups usage or even the creation of "Drug" battles, like "PRO" battles, could be foreseen... Bah!

Another way to combat druggers is... avoiding them! Despite my anger when I see them pushing 2, 3, 4 in sequence and the strong desire to respond the same way, wasting money in a useless and not so granted revenge... I try to avoid them. You can do it pretty easily when the drugger is a big fat Mammoth standing still in one spot from where it bombs other player (pretty common view...) It's harder when a Isida on a Hornet runs in a deadly frenzy hitting everyone, but you can spot it at distance from the icons and try to predict its path in order to avoid it. Avoiding direct confrontation with druggers makes them waste with few or no kills the cost they spent for the power-ups. At least some kind of revenge... :rolleyes: Otherwise, when drugging is too spread around... I quit!

I'm not saying I'm a skilled player, but those turrets are hateful to me! (my personal opinion...) I just come from a DM in Highland and one Isida with the same paint as me thus not protected by me (I was a firebird), both with Hornet, with 2 ranks lower than me, using drugs almost all the time.... was almost impossible to kill :o I used drugs to TRY to kill him, but whenever we had a face to face (flames vs. spark starting at the same time) he ALWAYS won despite my drugs. Only if someone hit him I could hope to kill him. Since this is not an isolated case but I frequently happen to meet such monsters.... this is why I hate them: there must be something giving an advantage to this turret. I suspected and noticed it since the very beginning of my experience with Tanki... at all rankings! :wacko: Either they have some kind of cheat or the rebalance is... unbalanced. Moreover, when I pay attention to the resistance of other turrets when hit, I see no big advantages of one vs. another. Only Isida seems to have in some cases (not always, for God's sake...) a "Godmode" on.

One rule I noticed in DM at Polygon map is that when the GB is announced, everyone stops and positions around the depression in the middle of the map waiting to unleash hell as soon as the GB drops.... and no one shoots to no one until that moment... ;)

the rule in DM is: KILL AS MANY ISIDA AND FREEZE AS YOU CAN!!!!! :angry: (did I make myself clear that I hate those turrets...?) :D

I can't stand them! There could be so nice battle tactics to perform, and when you, in just a second, think of a possible creative plan and are just about to press the arrow key to implement it.... ... you are blocked by those slimy, cold, jelly, repellent drops sprinkled by a Freeze coming out from nowhere. Just few droplets are needed to slow you down 90% and right after a tumultuos spray of frozen fear floods you! And the end is certain... farewell plans of good, beautiful, creative playing... :angry: Isidas are devious, tracherous, sneaky and with no noise and no notice on their arrival they hit you from behind, wearing out your energies with the never ending spark of death... and you know immediately your fate! I wonder how one can choose those turrets... With "2,3,4" keys they're unbeatable and often are equipped with paints (misterious to me...) that provide invulnerability from any weapon: who did not witness many times Isida surrounded by many tanks shooting at her all together and she keeps buzzing and killing one after the other in a never ending frenzy? Moreover, Isida pilots look like servants humbly serving and following their master when recharging them... I have all turrets but Isida and Freeze and never will get them for I despise them. As you can understand, I just arrive from a frustrating battles where many of my attempts to play have been aborted by those "unfair" turrets. I hate them and I think that cancelling them would perhaps provide a abetter experience in Tanki, for sure less frustrating... -
Aho! Me so accorto solo adesso de sto topic... (sono di Roma, che nun se sente??? :P ) Ho tante cose da dire... ma preferisco giocare, anche se sto gioco mi fa arrabbiare!!! Ci sono alcuni che sono immortali, specialmente Isida: 3,4 tank li colpiscono a morte e quelli...niente, non vogliono morire! Ma saranno solo le paint... o magari qualche cheat??? Boh??? Comunque... un caro saluto a tutti gli italiani di Tanki!!!! :)

I've been playing Tanki for months now, every single day, and I made my way up to Leutenant Colonel, so I think I have enough experience to talk about this topic. I played lots of battles and I mostly focus on TDM and DM (I don't like CTF, but this will be probably the subject of another thread...). My approach is now clear and defined: I want to make pointsin order to progress in my carreer!!! I don't care about diamonds because when needed.... I buy them! (this will make our game programmers happy... ;) ) I avoid using drugs in battles and when I see few of those Tier4 (I like the definition :) ) I change battle because I don't need to finish the game and get the funds. Sometimes I use 2,3,4 in order to kill one of these Tier4 who already has killed me 3 or 4 times in one minute... :angry: ...and then I quit! I can't stand seing people spawning and after one second all those icons popping up like a Xmas tree! I think that in one of the next rebalancing something needs to be done regarding the drugs, perhaps limiting their use somehow. I understand that the intense use of powerups brings more money to the developers.... but I also think that a optimal balance is good in order to keep otherwise angry customers... :) I never played a PRO battle because I very rarely find one, but I'm curious to do it and soon I will give them a try...

But the self destruct penalty is effective also if you press DEL to self destruct when you turn upside down by mistake??? :huh:

OK. I've just ended a DM in Polygon and see what happened: there was a Freeze who was constantly using full drugs (he was the only one in the match doing it) and was accumulating points one after the other in few seconds killing everybody as crazy!! (he won in a short time) In the past I could kill myself as soon as I saw him approaching (no way to escape to such a monster...) and the match would have been more interesting IMO. Now, you just need one of this guys (figure if there are more than one...) and the match has little sense to continue...
