This way it will be impossible to make xp battles, and even allowing 1 gun to be removed from the battle will cause "discrimination" to some guns. For example, since Shaft came out it was hated so much that I'm sure there will be normal battles that just don't allow shafts to join. Personally I will do this because shaft was always very annoying me and I just couldn't enjoy a battle with shafts because it's just like a random death for no reason that comes out of nowhere in one shot. Nothing annoyed me more than shaft, no other weapon nor hull, not even druggers buyers with M4s and all drugs on all the time - because I could see these coming and at least have an opportunity to try to do something about it. Now there are laser scopes for shafts but they hide them easily by aiming on other object in my direction so that the laser doesn't get close enough for me to notice it, and also I have about one second to react between the moment the laser smoothly appears till the shaft shoots and kills me. OK enough complaining about shaft, back to the topic. The ability to fully customize the format of the battle will make battles more enjoyable for many players, both because of formats that allow using only one or very few combinations, and because players can avoid annoyance. Shaft haters will play with other shaft haters and enjoy a good battle with no shafts, those who don't care about shafts or love them will play with shafts. This should be tested before adding any limitations to it.

Thanks for sorting it by maps instead of by time limit, it's much more comfortable now! Now what's missing is to add the range of ranks to the list, many players search for battles that are not for too high or low ranks (and some search for battles with high ranks for the challenge). You don't have to display all the rank icons - only the minimal and maximal rank. I think a good place for displaying it is between the time icon and the amount of players in the battle. Also add an option to add the name of the battle type: parkour, xp, rank up party, mine hunt, race, last one standing, zombie apocalypse (I know this one has other name but I don't remember it, it's the game where a was should escape a bunch of mammoth-isida tanks and survive as long as he can)... There are lots of games and I can't remember them all right now, you could review every game separately and decide if it should be added to the list.

Doing parkour in a real battle INSTEAD of fighting is sabotage, doing parkour in a real battle FOR fighting is not. I'm a parkour-fighter, I use parkour to get advantage in battles - like climbing higher places to get better sniping spot. I will upload soon a video about parkour-fighting, there you will see how useful can parkour be in battles and how it can improve the gameplay instead of ruining it.

LOL don't worry, I only wanna upload a video of me jumping on golds from roofs and getting on players on a flat ground without glitching on them. :P Nothing too good. jk idk what I'll do, need to wait for williew to say if I can upload old videos and if not I need to catch few golds before the contest ends.
-
Is it ok if I include in the video old videos of me catching golds? (like from when there were still 100 crystal drops)
-
I see them a lot lol, sometimes even 2 notifications at the same time and another one right after the first gold is picked up :P
-
I used to enjoy these moments and laugh at all the crystal collectors that were not helping the team in the battle, now I just don't care about golds. I do try to take them if I'm not too busy winning a huge battle fund, when the gold drops it's so easy to take the flag...

Added another trick to the list, I was using it few months ago but then I forgot about it until I decided to have some fun with it again. The trick is called Thunder Jump, check the tricks list to see the description. I already started working on a video of this trick.

It will come back!

I love the idea of showing the ranks range, with this new update there is a lot of unused space in the battles list, why not to fill it with this useful information? This way players can more easily find a battle with no too high or too low ranks, or whatever ranks they want to play with. I think that instead of the battle name there should be the format of this battle so players can select one of several options (parkour, xp, rank up party, mine hunt...), this will help describing the battle very well.

There were no participants so I'll add more time, but before I do this I'll try to get this contest official to get as many participants as I can. Also need to make the scoreboard project seen by more parkour club leaders.

So much hate because of this update, especially from the xp community. I think they're actually on the right way, and I have few ideas to improve it. Except for one thing: You couldn't see how long this battle was, only how much time left. Now you can see how long every round is from the START till the next round. It is an improvement because this way you can see that the next round of a battle that will end in 3 minutes will be a whole hour and you will not join it if you don't have the time for it or just don't want a too long battle. Also it's more comfortable when you don't have to click the battle to see this information. Very comfortable. Though I think sorting the battles by maps instead of by time limit would be much better. Me and probably almost everyone else is searching for battles in his favorite maps, and then checking if the other settings of these battles are good for him. Making private battles possible only to players with PRO battles pass ruins a lot: Players that just want to make a private battle to chat (chatting in a private battle is a lot more comfortable because no one listens to you and you don't have to wait a lot of time between messages) will have to pay to CHAT. It's also really not nice to have to pay to join a rank up party, to do parkour and all other kinds of things you prefer to do with friends. People love this game for being able to play with real people, and playing with friends is a lot better than just with random players - this shouldn't be limited to those who have more crystals to spend. Private battles should definitely be available to everyone without requiring a PRO battle pass, with the normal 500 crystals cost. Access to PRO battles ONLY with a PRO battles pass is also not very good because many players almost never join PRO battles and when they do they can just pay once 500 crystals to join. There is one thing I like about this part of the update: This is the first step to encourage players to use PRO battles, and I have few ideas that can help it happen. There should be a big discount on PRO battle passes soon (maybe when the equipment limitations will come out) to let everyone get their first PRO battle pass for very cheap, then they will have a good time enjoying PRO battles and when their pass will be out of date they will buy more because they will know the PRO battles gameplay better. Another idea to make PRO battles more popular is to add to the Third Lieutenant rank up prize a PRO battle pass, this will make everyone try PRO battles when they are at a high enough rank to have decent equipment for most things that PRO battles are usually used for (xp, parkour, parties...). As they said, they will fix the xp problem. They will add an option to customize the equipment allowed in your battle, so be patient. Also most players in RU1 server play xp so you can still create a battle and tell anyone who gets in that it is xp. The change they made isn't very significant. In my opinion it is not very good solution to the problem they try to solve. Players who want to fight against players at their ranks can still create battles where only players close to their rank can join. But players sometimes want to relax and play against lower ranks, and lower ranks many times want the challenge of fighting against higher ranks - that's the reason I play with Generallisimos sometimes (and surprisingly I find it easier than fighting player at my rank sometimes lol). In my opinion the ranks range should be 5 by default (2 ranks above the player and 2 ranks below), players that want to play with lower or higher ranks can increase the range.

ShadowTemplar disliked this post ^ and many others that say something good about me or agree with what I say. That's a real hater ._. I'll vote this post up just to balance it :P EDIT: what's a parkour mod? lol

You can jump a lot higher than that, it all depends on the amount of rails you use, how upgraded they are and the weight of the jumper. ;) Try it with more players with rail standing behind and shooting and see what happens.

Well, this is the parkour forum... lol

Added a link to the new Parkour-fighting topic, I hope you like this one cause in my opinion it's the best! :P

Parkour Fighting is the usage of parkour to get advantage in battles. You can use parkour to get many advantages in battles. For example: shortcuts, good sniping spots and other defensive/offensive positions, avoiding short-range weapons, getting on better spots for keeping the flag safe, ambushing enemies from unexpected places, escaping enemies, and even catching gold boxes easily. Parkour fighting can be divided to two levels: Solo Parkour Fighting and Team Parkour Fighting. Solo Parkour Fighting This is the level that requires the most skill because your team will not help you when you play in a random battle with no friends. You have to rely on your skill only. There are 2 things you can do: OMP - climb what you can climb alone. Or use random players (both team mates and enemies) for parkour. A list of ways to use random players for parkour: Drive up a ramp when other tank comes from above to go down the ramp, make sure to go in the right timing so the other tank will bump you. Flip an enemy or find a flipped team mate and push him towards an object you want to climb, then get on him and use his explosion (when he self destructs) to climb the object you want. This method only helps to get on small objects. Use enemies that shoot you to jump. For example, if an enemy with Railgun is standing on a ramp, stand above him and make yourself an easy target. He will shoot you and you can shoot at the same time too and you'll get high enough to jump on a small house. Instead of avoiding mines to not take damage, use the mines to jump. Push a team mate with Hornet and Railgun, sometimes they will push you back and shoot you. Use this moment - go back a bit, shoot forward and drive forward again to get on him as he shoots you. Sandwich trick! You are more likely to succeed when there is a wall behind your team mate that will prevent him from going back. Team Parkour Fighting This one requires is easier because your team will help you and you won't have to try to force anyone to help you. But it requires more ability to work in a team. You can still use your solo parkour fighting skills, you still have enemies to use for parkour. A well organized parkour fighters team consists of players who climb stuff and players who help them to climb everything they need to. A list of roles in a team of parkour-fighters: Runner - A fast player that uses solo parkour-fighting tricks (not always, only if it really helps him) to move around the territory of the enemies and attack. Runners sometimes use midfield Helpers to start the attack from an unexpected place. Camper - A player that gets on a house or other good sniping position and just camps there. Usually Campers need help to climb to a good spot, but sometimes they can climb it alone or help each other. Defensive Campers with shaft sometimes also work as support snipers to help other Campers jump to their place. Helper - A player that helps his team mates to get on places. Helpers can also be Runners or just normal offensive/defensive/midfield fighters that don't necessarily use parkour. Defensive Helpers usually defend the flag and help Campers to get to their defensive positions in the base. Midfield Helpers usually wait in spots where Runners need help, and kill enemies when there's no Runner that needs help around. Offensive Helpers are almost the same as Runners, but they sometimes have slower hulls like dictator, they focus on fighting around spots that Runners use a lot. Offensive helpers also help Runners to get the flag more easily and escape with it faster. Runners don't always use parkour or Helpers, many times they just fight normally. With all the cool suff parkour fighting can do, a team still needs normal fighters to capture flags, return flags and kill players that hide from the campers. How about the tricks used in team parkour fighting? It all depends on what you want to climb, you can use all tricks except for mine jumps (sometimes even MJs are possible because enemies can leave mines). Helpers usually use Hornet and Railgin which is the best thing for many parkour tricks, so you can climb pretty much everything. Of course you don't HAVE to organize a whole team of parkour fighters, you can join a normal battle with one or few friends and have a lot of fun there too! :) I was interviewed abut parkour fighting for the newspaper, I recommend you to read the interview because I answer there the questions you probably have after reading this topic. Feel free to post here your own parkour fighting videos and screenshots. Please help me make the art of parkour fighting more popular. Parkour fighting adds a very fun and challenging aspect to the game. I will be very happy if one day I'll join a random battle and will get wrecked by an awesome team of parkour fighters! :D

You should post it in the parkour clubs subforum. Good luck! :)

I know, I'm just saying the name is a bit confusing because when players say one man parkour they mean one player and everyone got used to it. You can see it in many videos, like williew's video about OMP in industrial zone. Or even just ask players in battles what does "one man parkour mean", I'm sure most of them if not all of them will say it is doing parkour with one player.
-
I will! With wasp M1! :P But I'll wait with that, have more important things to do ;)
-
In conclusion, the admins don't know enough about parkour to make a perfect contest. I doubt complaining about it will help. Could be nice to have a team of few parkour experts that will work as consultants for planning parkour contests and events. I wish I could be one at least.
-
I think this should be called "mults parkour" or something, "OMP" is usually used as "doing parkour alone, with only one player". Also the name "mults parkour" describes it better and doesn't cause any confusion/misunderstanding when a player hears it the first time.
