This rule seems clear to me too, but apparently to others it wasn't clear for some reason. And I agree that it would be nice to have a more rare paint, but at the same time I feel like nobody deserves the paint any less than you or me just because he shot a little bit outside the green zone, it's just such a tiny negligible difference in the trick. I can tell someone that his team is worse than mine because we did a trick that they couldn't do, but telling someone that he is worse than me because he shot a little out of the green zone is just ridiculous.

btw about all these entries you say should have been disqualified... what you guys say isn't coming from a place of "they couldn't finish the challenge properly and got a free pass on doing it in an easier way", it's obvious that they could have finished the challenge anyway but were confused by the rules. The organizers did a good thing by letting these teams pass because they clearly are capable of finishing the challenge but got confused by the unclear rules. If some teams didn't get to pass while doing exactly what was done by the teams that did pass, this should be corrected and these teams should contact the organizers about it, it's a much better solution than disqualifying the other teams - part of which already removed their videos. As I said before, some mistakes are too late to fix and we'll have to live with the results, but what people are complaining about now is the result of the organizers trying to correct one of their mistakes and saving teams from falling victims to the confusion about the rules. They did a good thing there. They couldn't save everyone sadly, but at least they did save the teams they could.

This topic needs someone who can update it when needed. Last time he logged into the forum was a week ago, giving him 2 weeks total seems fair enough. If he comes back he can take the topic back, but if he's not going to come back it's better not to wait months before changing topic ownership.

First of all I didn't say anything about these things happening because I'm not there. But if you already bring it up, I'll say in my defense that last year's contest (which I organized) went a lot better. And this contest was doing just fine until the moment I left. Yes, I am not perfect, but I am sure that I would do a much better job. And as arrogant and self righteous as I may sound, you can't deny the evidence. Last year's survival had no loopholes and the challenges were steadily getting harder (except the last one, as I said I'm not perfect, but still did much better than this year's contest), and you are welcome to scan the whole topic and search for complaints about the contest, let me know if you find any.

The organizers messed up a lot in this contest, and they tried to fix at least some of their mistakes, but some things just can't be undone and we'll have to live with it now... It's too late to change the results of this challenge and it's too late to explain the rules clearly and give more time to do the challenge because the next challenge already started and everyone saw the solution to this challenge. The best that can be done now is if one team got disqualified for something that another team didn't get disqualified for, contact the organizers and ask them to add your team to the survivors list.

Too late, teams started deleting their videos so the organizers can't see who shot outside of the green area and who didn't. But anyway these teams were told that they can pass with the trick they did so they didn't spend the time they had left to make another entry that would pass, so disqualifying them now means they didn't pass because the organizers mislead them.
