[Article] Five things you can get without being a reporter!

Five things you can get without being a reporter! Greetings, non-reporters! There is a fine possibility that the idea of non-reporter groups have originated in the beginning of the newspaper but the official topic was started much later. There are several possible reasons why non-official writing groups didn’t emerge during that time. First of all, no one in his/her right mind would ever decline a newspaper job that gives you the three things that every writer craves for: (1) Crystals. (C’mon you got to be honest with me. Would you decline a pay check? No exactly!) (2) Recognition (That is one of the things that every writer long for: Recognition of his/her work. Don’t you want the fruits of your labor to be acknowledged and cherished by others?) (3) The opportunity to work with an experienced crew. Second in line, why create a non-official writing group when you could join an existing group that offers the above three advantages and why write for nothing when you can write and be rewarded for the time you invest in writing? Why post articles most that people do seldom look when you can join the official press and publish a monthly set of articles that surely be read? Why miss the opportunity to work with an experienced crew that could dramatically refine your writing skills? These are the most common reasons for writers to join writing groups. I’m not telling you that you should leave the writing group you are in now for the official press job. The reason why is because you too get some privileges that the reporters also have and some that can only be found in non-official writing teams: (1) Workload: You can choose the amount of workload you write per issue. Reporters have to submit certain number of articles. You don’t have to write like 2-3 articles per month (That requires loads of time*.) that’s good news. (Remember if you can take the time to write just one quality article, it is worth a million crap articles). But if you feel that you can take on the challenge to writing quality articles per month, feel free to apply for the reporter job. (2) Recognition: If you write quality articles, that clearly shows your hard effort and good amount of time invested for writing it as perfect as possible. You will certainly gain recognition, either directly (from your readers) or indirectly (from people who were recommended by your readers) (3) Reward: No please don’t expect a pay check from the Game Admins because they found your writing impressive and fascinating. What I meant from writing this point is that, is there a reward that outweighs the satisfaction and joy one gets from writing an article? (4) Experienced crew: Now you are going to think what Bl1209 is saying by experienced crew, but in fact I bet you didn’t see the future “reporterness” in people who you were working with. Personally when I was madly in love with reporter job a year or 18 months back (PS: 2nd anniversary on the forum on March 8th), I lost sight over what matters most in Tanki: Friends. Yes, you’ve read it right. I didn’t see that future “Reporterness” in some people who later came to be part of the reporter team. So, what you can learn from my experience is that there’s a possibility that the person who you are working with right now could be a part of the reporter team in the future. (This is proven advice. So don’t disregard it. ;-) ) (5) Developments: This is the most important benefits of writing whether it’s for the reporter side or the non-reporter side. There’s a feeling you get when you write. That feeling cannot be described because it’s unique for everyone. In my own words: “The feeling I get is that I’m more able to express freely and effectively in writing than when I’m speaking and it also helps to have a broader perspective on the topic you are thinking about. Sometimes when I run out things while thinking, writing helps me in away I don’t realize how still, what it does for me is that whenever I sit down to write, sometimes I type in a set of random words to be magically led to a superb point. That to me is the feeling and joy in writing” Epilogue My point is that you don’t have to be a reporter to become a writer. As long as you write whether it is for any team or for yourself, then you are part of the universal group of writers. Good luck! And wish you the best in your future endeavors both in Tanki as well as real life. GL BL1209 signing off! * Not to say that the reporters are free most of the time, what I’m implying is the fact that the reporters take some of their valuable time to produce some quality articles for you to read

    Early battle termination is back!

So, is there going to be early battle termination for non-pro battles that don't have the normal battle timer?

Two reasons why the entry won't be winning unless it's author changes his/her entry: (Quoting @Night-Sisters) Your experience bar must be visible in the picture. Images may be cropped but not edited.

I'd suggest removing the dark colour to something readable. Dark Colour + Dark Background (Black) => Strain in the eyes.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Got two golds yesterday. First one was in clan training. The funny thing was that whilst others were asking where the gold is going to drop I just didnt even think i was going to get the gold i just hid near the place where i've seen most golds usually drop. These guys were pros so i thought one of them would get the gold because (i) They are m3s whilst im just m2 (ii) They have by far more experience than me in this map (Barda). Also, I was saying gg when the gold was close that means i said that be4 i took it :P  The second one was just in a normal battle. 2 vs 2. XP. When I entered my teammate capped then notification came up. I hid and when it dropped. I caught it easily :P Yesteday was epic! :D
