A lot of people use dictator back to front because In their mind's it will be higher and therefore more likely to catch a Gold box, although it makes no difference because dictator's hitbox is just a fat rectangle: But I'm straying off topic. I drive backwards quite often not for any particular reason apart from it's quicker and more efficient to make use of your turret instead of doing a complete 180, especially with hulls that have a slow track traverse.
