Naming battles again? No way. Custom player chosen battle names were very problematic with profanity and abuse.

My understanding is that premium accounts are only purchasable with real money. I doubt that will change. Tanki has hinted that just like how sometimes there are 2x or 3x battle funds for a day or two there could also be something similar where premium accounts are given for a day or two. Everyone getting a premium account for a day is probably an example of this.

If a PA was to cost a little less money per month I think I would do it. I don't care at all about getting extra exp. In fact, for lower and mid to mid-high level ranks I would prefer to get exp slower than normal so I can use purchased upgraded hulls and turrets longer before I rank up and start losing the advantage of better equipment. Better crystal modifiers isn't a big deal to me. XT isn't a big deal to me because it just looks different with no advantages. 15% all paint isn't anything great. To get me to spend real money I want advantages, not just looks. Maybe more powerful turrets and/or hulls for real money.

Maybe the price of premium accounts will change. Up? Down? Who knows. If the price was less I would probably get a premium account. Also, the bonus crystals premium players get don't get subtracted from the total of everyone else.

As a buyer, the only thing that interests me in buying crystals is to get an advantage -- to get more powerful turrets, hulls, and paints sooner. Advantage is the only reason I buy. I don't care at all about looking different than everyone else. In fact, I prefer to blend in with everyone else. The biggest problem with the /vote command is that there aren't enough staff to cover all the /voted battles. In the evenings here in the United States the majority of Tanki's staff is sleeping -- Europe / Middle East / Russia. And for those of you that didn't know, chat mods, forum mods, facebook mods, etc., are not responsible for /voted battles. A group called Game_Violators is responsible for /voted battles. Very few members of the Game_Violators staff are on during the evenings in the United States. Preferential treatment for /vote commands would make little to no difference. I haven't heard any member of staff in any of our staff chat groups complain about buyers getting paint with more or the same protections as helper paint. What the staff are saying about helper paint is that helper paint isn't very good in battles. More specialized paints for turrets being used in a battle are much better than helper paint. I haven't seen any chat mods being mad here but we are the most restrictive of all staff groups as to who can be in our group. As for other staff, I've seen very few or none of them being mad here either. Any staff member expressing anger in the game or in the forum should no longer be staff in my opinion. Expressing one's opinions without anger or hatred is a very clear sign and identifier of maturity. Yes, XT equipment has no appeal to me. I don't even want XT equipment because I'd be starting all over again with zero MU's. I've spent a lot of crystals on MU's for my turrets and hulls. I'm not going to start from point zero to add MU's to any XT items. Current MU's for any player's turrets or hulls should be transferred to XT equipment in my opinion. Only then would XT equipment appeal to me.

15% or 20% all-turrets-protection isn't a big deal if you are a higher rank. If I'm in a battle with a lot of rail turrets my best paint is Prodigi and I put it on pretty quickly. If I'm in a CP battle with a lot of firebirds my best paint is Loam and I go right to it. My rank is high enough that these specialized paints are possible. For lower ranks a 20 all paint probably is too much. I'm sure Tanki devs have given a lot of thought about making the number smaller for lower ranks and having the number increase quickly for higher ranks -- to 20 and maybe even higher. Players paying real money better get something for their money. The one thing I don't doubt at all is that the Tanki developers want Tanki to be the very best it can be for free-to-play players and for pay-to-play players. Changes are coming and changes will always continue to come. The only constant in life is change. The developers aren't the bad guys. They are the good guys.

Most of the posts here are representing the have-paid-little-or-nothing players (referring to money in real life.) Tanki had better make the premium accounts offer pretty sweet to get paying players to pay it month after month. If not enough players are signing up for pay-to-play I'm sure Tanki will improve the offer and benefits for pay-to-play players. Money talks. I'm sure more changes will be made to all of this in various ways after premium accounts begin. Hold on for the ride everyone ! :ph34r:
