Two golds in the same battle. This was a player dropped gold, and apparently there was one before it. Another one dropped like 9 minutes after.. it would've been mine but as per usual, a fly hacker took it and left. Fooled everyone into believing it wasn't there.. but then everyone saw it falling, and it was a traffic pile up. There was another about 5 mins after this one.. and I almost got it.. but another Dictator next to me.. couldn't turn my hull. So, 5 golds and we didn't even hit the halfway mark.

I assume you got surprised by Railguns, Thunders, and Smokies. :P Here, I'll provide you a picture of where I think the best sniping spots for Shaft is: I think blue gives a better advantage than red due to its elevation being higher. All the spots in blue allow you to see into the red base.. but the further two spots work best (imo) because you're farther away and are less likely to receive damage from Thunders, Smokies, Rails, and even Ricos (Shafter's worst nightmare). The spots on red allow you see into the blue base too, but barely. The one spot to the right of the red flag allows you to see the ramp and the tanks coming up it. Provided you have appropriate refelxes, you can snipe a few blues coming up/down the ramp.

Yep, Smoky is so good once you get it M2... it's better than some M3s (which says something).. once you get it M3, again like M2, it's very, very good. Once you get it M4.. it's a god's weapon. :P Anyways, once you get Northerner, your next kit you should get should be Paladin. Smoky M3 at Lieutenant General (3 star looking rank) is excellent.. then you can save for MUs.. and with a wise budget, you can have them M4 before Generalissimo ;)

Wasp/Twins. Very sturdy and can handle lots of damage.

I think Shaft is a bit underrated in DM, TDM, and CTF. In CTF Shaft can completely block off a whole entrance and direct the flow of traffic elsewhere.. I think it deserved an 8/10.. and in DM, a Shafter can just mine the tunnel and snipe under where gold drop zone #24 is. In TDM, it's probably one of the best turrets to use without dying (only being beaten by Isida). Shaft in CP.. well it's common sense to not use it in CP.

I plan on continuing to increase my supply count until this account reaches Generalissimo.

I'd recommend Rico/Wasp, Twins/Wasp or even Vulcan/Wasp. Very fun and OP combos.

I agree that Rico is a pain to face on M2. But the easiest way is to get some protection against it. 20 + protection should do it. But soon you'll face M2 Fires, Smokies, and Twins. Which are even worse to face assuming you don't know how to face them. :P I see you're a Smoky/Viking player.. well get the Northerner kit and you'll be a bigger pain in the rear than anyone with M2 Rico. Especially since you have previous experience with it.

Yep - based on the difficulty I think you have a pretty decent chance.

I've had that happen many times, primarily when I was facing Smoky. The impact force makes me miss a few shots and they go off in a different direction and end up coming back to me. I think for Rico users the best servers to be in are the drug free ones and the EN servers. I've played a few Gissimo matches and sometimes my equipment is better MUd than a Generalissimo.

That module sounds.. awesome :D And yeah, I rarely get 1st place with Rico... it can't take on as many tanks as Smoky, Twins, Isida, even Vulcan. It needs to take tanks on one by one... and even then, by the time the second enemy shows up, your ammo is pretty much gone because you wasted it on destroying someone else.

Every turret has its own disadvantage. Rico's is the limited ammunition and the time it takes for the projectile to hit the tank. Range can be a disadvantage too, but most of the time people are well in Rico's range of effectiveness. Imo, Rico M1, M2, and M3 need a buff. It's just not competitive enough to stay with the other M3s. Which is funny since its price is relatively high. Maybe higher damage per shot? Because anyone with 20 + protection is impossible to kill. And as ballet_magnet said, it's DPS is only at an all time high for about 4 - 6 seconds. Sure it's higher than most turrets' DPS, but in the long run, turrets with infinite ammunition rule the battle field (Vulcan, Smoky, and Twins primarily). Most of the time in Gissimo battles I rarely see a Rico M3 anyway. Clay modules still prowl in the battles.. not even allowing Rico users a chance to fight back. Especially if they're Twins, Smoky, and Isida. @LittleWillie maybe M1 Rico is a pain for you right now, M2 will be for a little bit, but once you're past Colonel you'll realize Rico is drastically underpowered. Especially with no MUs.

How about Opposite Day? You can't say it's Opposite Day because if it really is, then you'd have to say it isn't Opposite Day. But if you say it isn't Opposite Day, then it really isn't.
