One of the organisers had fatal error during the event so he couldn't move. And the others were trying their best to salvage the situation. It was hard enough to organise, even harder to accept the fact that thick headed people were trying their utmost to ruin it. You think after all that work putting into organising it, they would make such a "careless" mistake? Don't just view the situation from a high pedestal and criticize. Try putting yourself in our shoes. As I mentioned before, the sheer numbers of mines used caused some of our computer performances to drop to single digit fps. Not to mention, I find it funny you are blaming the organisers for the fault of a uncooperative ruiner whose intentions were exactly the opposite of ours.

It took the organizers many hours to set up the arena (no kidding) and already a few events were being ruined by people with the inappropriate equipment. We didn't have a lot of players with "kick abilities" in battle. So unfortunately, you were kicked as part of a preventive measure. Also, it takes quite some time to kick an individual player so the mod supervising the event was literally going into overdrive. Given the amount of mines used in the event, we had a lot of problems as some of our computers were not able to process fast enough. It was a very high stress environment for the organizers just so you guys could have fun. We regret any inconvenience caused (although apart from some minor frustration, there's really no big need to be fuming mad) and hope that those who managed to take part had fun. Thank you for your understanding. I am going to sleep now because it's 3.30 am here. Please try to empathize with our situation and the logistical difficulties of hosting such a huge event, not to mention the frustration involved when hours of preparation was sort of disrupted by players who refused to cooperate. I am not referring to you williew. If I am not wrong, 2 out of 3 events ended because the organiser was killed by a range turret so please understand the undertaking of certain preventive measures.

All 3 were completed but some were ruined. FYI, it takes reeeeallly long to set up the arena so rest assured, you aren't the only one frustrated, however, the main purpose for such events is, I believe, for everyone to have fun and take a break form serious battling so hope u guys had some fun :)

Discipline is sorely lacking. Some players don't know how to read English or just have a compelling urge to ruin the fun for others.

Hi Tony, unfortunately, you are missing the mark here. They are not putting down your entry solely because of the age factor. One of their main reasons for doing so is their argument that you have insufficient knowledge about star ladder to properly commentate on such a high stakes battle, not to mention win 3rd place. NOTE this doesn't mean I condone their slamming of you in public forums or agree with their points. I am merely explaining the basis of their argument, and it certainly isn't just the age factor. Congratulations on winning, you are not obliged to comment on those flaming you, enjoy your crystals and be happy :) Ps: It's not solely about sportsmanship either. Also, in SLTV matches, matches are created 13 minutes long, 3 minutes to prepare, and the battle only starts at the 10 min mark. Not sure if this is the latest information though.

Might not be too appropriate a question to ask in public imo

A lot of you are feeling disappointed and are probably feeling pretty dejected right now. I can totally relate to that as I have experienced it a few times already. I know how emotions can get the better of you. Just a word of caution, some things we say might actually offend others, like I found out in the aftermath of the Supplies Tutorial, whether intentionally or not, so feel free to express your opinions but refrain from potentially harmful comments :) I'm still sorry to Goldie for not considering the negative connotations and potential pernicious repercussions of my rant after the results. Take it from me, watch what u say, and consider the effects of what you say on others. Try harder next contest and if you put in enough effort next time, u might just prevail :) "There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going" It will take time and effort to achieve what you want, but that only makes your eventual success all the more sweeter. Don't lose faith in yourself and may this guide you in life's numerous challenges as well :)
