[Issue 2][Story]The Hangings[UN]

The Hangings Jenna, a frail old lady, had just decided to pay a visit to her son, who lived in Baltimore, Maryland. She didn't think much of it. She thought it would be a routine visit, but she didn't know what lay in her future. Both her son's and his wife's cars were parked in the driveway. That assured the old lady that her son would be there. After a few minutes of knocking on the door, she decided that they couldn't hear her, and she let herself in. She would never forget the atrocity she witnessed when she walked inside. Both of her relatives were left hanging from the banister at the top of the stairs, visible from the front door. She immediately bursts into tears, crying uncontrollably, and she called the police. There are a few reasons she was crying, but the reason far more prominent than the rest was that her husband had died in a similar way. As she recalled the harrowing events, she remembered the detective that she had hired, that just could not solve the case if his life depended on it. The operator picked up. Jenna told the operated what she had seen. "They're dead! They're dead!" Jenna cried into the receiver. "Calm down. I know what happened is terrible, but you're going to have to give me some information." said the operator. The operator was a middle aged man. Jenna replied, "Okay, fine." "Where did these murders take place?" "At my son's house." "The address?" "XXX Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland. XXXXX." "One last thing, Ma'am." "What is it?" asked Jenna. "You're next." That last remark rang true because just 24 hours later the old lady was found in her house, hanging in much the same fashion as her relatives. Now the detectives really had a case to solve! The detectives, a few young men and an older woman, searched for days on end for the slightest clue of what happened. No matter where they looked, or how hard they thought, they had nothing. They decided this case was unsolvable, that they must have been suicides. The trail went dry.- 29 replies
