exactly my combo! Recently bought thunder m2 in the discount. Surely thunder will not disappoint you. But my feeling is rail m2 is not good without drugs as there are so many paints for rail protection. Thunder m2 is amazing.

My two cents: 1) Today i was playing at 30 flag noise ctf. Our team was doing fine, we were leading by 11-2. Then 3 druggers joined, and they conquered. Kit buyers with enough drugs... I have to left when it was 11-9. So my 30 minutes of plating brought me 0 crystals. 2) Missed 2 golds already. I will not say it is not fun for those who are, happened to be, near the drop zone; but surely a pain for those who are far from it. I was near the 2 gold box i saw today, got killed, and not complaining for that, but it should be somewhat fair. Because in this new system sometimes it will be the only source of income for noobs like me. 3) On a brighter side, ranked today, got 12000 crys award and bought thunder m2 which rocks! Thank you tanki online!

got 2 golds today, for the first time! one in serpuhov and another in industrial zone. the problem is 3 gold fell in the second battle, but the spot got highlighted and a thunder, not even attempting to get it, was shooting randomly, i got killed twice. :( Details of my gold boxes (Total=17) 8*1000 5*1000 1*3000 2*1000 1*5000

My thoughts: 1) Almost impossible to earn anything for the lower ranks like me in Polygon. I played one DM with gens, people simply took a mammoth and sat one the crys dropping zones. Also a 50 kill DM took 15 minutes to complete, everyone was busy collecting crystals! 2) In Serpuhov, the RED team has seriously low chance of getting normal crys boxes as the drop zone in the middle is no more. But the blue has easy access to at least 3 zones compared to red's 1 on the bridge. 3) Catching gold box is a mayhem in Polygon, for sure. But my experience in Serpuhov is different. I caught one :) . The drop zone was on the rightmost ramp of the blue team! So one can not be really sure where it will drop in bigger maps, but for smaller maps it will create problem. 4) So many crystal collectors roaming in the games, it is ruinging the gameplay in CTF, at least! Overall cannot tell for sure whether it is good or bad update, but surely it will take some time to get a better understanding of the present game.

Inspired by lukey and pedro's posts, I think I will also post here about my goldbox catches. Sadly upto now, I have made no videos of images of those catches, but from now on I will try to capture those. Between hunter and viking m2 what do you people suggest to play with thunder m2? I want to play this combo specially for dms.

what to buy with thunder m2, mammoth m2 or a medium hull like viking or hunter m2. I want to play mainly in Sandbox or polygon DM with this combo.

Oh lord! Give me crystals, I will buy them both! :-D Jokes apart, i seriously hate ricos. As kirby said, lot of rico users mount them on light hulls. When i charge them with my isida, they just back off, that too with increased accelearation, and keep firing. Their massive damages per shot just don't give any chance. But many times, with twins one to one, i won with isida. By the way, i often wonder why the heavy m2 hull comes with rico? The mammy cannot move fast, and most of the time they have, in my experience, d/l ratio about .5. It would be deadly if it had twins m2! Great article, kirby. Thank you!

my suggestion would be get a good hull. You have plenty of m1 turrets. If you don't get a good hull your d/l ratio will be low and you will get lower xps and crystals. I am saying this from my experience of using isida m2 with wasp and hornet m2. Health points matter a lot.

Yes. You read it right. It is THE Railgun. Recent times saw massive discounts on firebird and twins. They are good, I agree (though not sure of the latter. Keep a book on the spacebar and rotate the turret: you get the idea. Does it require skill? Don't ask me). But why (why devs why, why devs why...) THE RAILGUN, the flagship gun of Tanki, is so much neglected? Like its even more neglected brother Smoky, why it never got a 70% discount? So, friends, lets make a movement for that. Overenthusiatic players may even skip their milkshake or fried chicken during lunch, and make our case strong: you know then we may even call it a hunger strike! So Keep Calm and Fight for Rail discount. Cheers!

Great updates. But tell me one thing: are the blue crystal boxes got brighter? It was not mentioned in the update but it seemed to me. Btw, the gold box seemed to be the same. Caught 4 of them in a week. :-) (some say after a drought of 5 weeks without them, but pay no heed to them.)

i will also suggest isida. With a light hull you can cure your team mates and collect xp s. To collect crystals i would suggest a better and light hull. Maybe hornet m1. I bought wasp m1 but it is too weak, in my opinion. A stronger hull will raise your d/l ratio and boost your xp s. Between ricochet m2 and thunder m2 what do you suggest? I play dm/tdm s in smaller maps like polygon/sandbox and ctf in bigger maps like serpuhov. Presently i have rail and fire m1, isida and freeze m2.

Though i liked almost everything abou the new update, i faced a problem with the new gold box. Got one today 8-) in serpuhov. But it was almost invisible against the bright sky, seriously!

It baffles me when people are saying they cannot drug now and hence will not play. Sure, there are some veterans who are saying this, but most of it just seem to be shoutin under a general panic. Unless one is filthy rich and has 3000 of every supplies, one would not normally use 3 drugs simultaneously. It may be required sometimes, like capturing a critical flag at the last moment, but one can always do that even in the new system and, moreover, tanki seems to me more of a team game. So in that situation of capturing the winning flag, two or three people should be ready so that anyone of them can finish the job, as it regularly happens in top clan fights. And to me, a beginner (a noob?), using 3 drugs together seems some sort of bullying. I faced it, seriously! It is like: "don't mess with me! I will kill you in a very nonchalant way. I will stand in front of you, will not hide, will use my medical kit or whatever! And kill you. Again and again!" At least, I don't like this sort of gameplay. And with a judicious choice of supplies, one can always win! So a great update tanki. I specially appreciate the nerve of you people while facing the frequent dire, and monetary, threats in this topic!
