All short to medium-ish range turret...now if you are defender, use heavy hull, titan is great...if you are attacker, use medium hulls...hunter or viking will be great..

did you even look at the stats? its not just the range, freeze M3's damage is same as Fire M2 with 2 MU..i didn't even look at the lower modifications! Now imagine u r defending a flag with freeze on a heavy hull, an enemy isida will stay out of 5meter range and kill you before even you can move in a 1 vs 1 fight..
