I wonder if all 300 players that got invited for the CBT are Russians... I mean, if you compare the ratio of Russian community against the other communities, it would take almost a miracle for a non-Russian to get in.
  3. No harsh feelings, but allow me to explain some misunderstandings. Your quote: "Because, as we all know, losing is sooooo much fun." My quote: "...true gameplay experience is a sensible mix of victory and failure." See the twist there? Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don't intend to spark unnecessary conflict here. P/S: And don't get me wrong, this is not an anti-drugging article, just my personal experience and lessons evaluated.
  4. Thanks for the summary, bro. This will keep all the TL:DR posts away.

A story from an anti-drugger who drugged non-stop recently

It has been 2 years since I joined the Tanki community, and within those 2 years I have never activated a garage supply, not even once. I despised druggers to the point where I would ask if any drugger is present in the match prior to joining it. If a teammate of mine drugged, I would stop my support for him as an Isida or sniper, leaving him to death as he is already on low health. One day, I was playing an Esplanade CTF when a wild drugging Isida appeared. Since Tanki X is gonna be released anyway, and that I have accumulated more than 800 supplies each, why not drug all the way until our team stomps victorious? #YOLO, right? So on that day, I got to experience how it felt to be a full hardcore drugger for the first time, turning the tide of the battle by a massive degree. It felt tremendous, spamming double power as a railgunner, everything vanishes by the press of a button. However, one thing was missing. And that important missing ingredient to my gameplay was - "the feeling of losing". I kept bashing other non-drugging players as if they are helpless children, but true gameplay experience is put together by a sensible mix of victory and failure. Soon it felt boring, being the winner with extensive usage of supplies is just… too mainstream. If you ask me would I blow my supplies on others in Tanki X, my answer would definitely be: "Nah, bro. You'll feel lonely afterwards."

Bruh, sometimes it's not about having crystals, top-notch equipment, or high ranks. It's about a new adventure, a new exploration, a new gameplay mechanism, a new experience. I have played for quite some time on this account, but if we really have to start fresh in TX, I'm gonna go for it anyways. I'm tired of TO.

Dear mods, I have a question in need of an answer. Is there gonna be an official wiki for TX like the one for TO? I already have a wiki up going, just wondering if it would be a worthwhile effort, since the "Official" is always better.

    Tanki deletes my topics

Ya know, you could have PMed a mod 'bout this. I made a topic about Russian Youtubers getting into CBT, and it was gone. Later do I know that it was merged with the Tanki X discussions topic, after being informed by Fujitora-senpai.

Well that's weird... If my memory is still intact, the email subscription newsletter told us that the first 300 players will be invited on February 1st. Of course, later on they said Youtubers/Community members will get an early access, but does OUFA get to join the CBT? (Please check) Is the reason behind this because the game interface is in Russian? Is that why Russian Youtubers/Players were invited first? Anyway, enjoy these Tanki X gameplay videos~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dgTh1ksyU0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6f7_OeFbMuw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6f7_OeFbMuw - credits to 摘星人, a friend of mine in China, for digging all these up.

    Favorite Update?

Graphics update, though I've never played Tanki at that time, I can tell that it's a huge improvement. (If the graphics were still like the old days, I won't even think about playing)

    CONFESSIONS OF A "USER"

As a non-buyer, I perfectly understand your importance in the game industry. I mean, you are technically paying for the game so that we, non-buyers may enjoy without any cost. Thank you for that! I am alright with Premium Accounts, I am OK with occasional druggers, but then this happened: I was in a Rio CTF, and a player literally spams DD or repair kit as soon as it is available for usage. I understand that the devs provide the buyers with an advantage to promote purchase of crystals (profitable), but this made the match unplayable for the rest of us. We can use supplies at anytime, but it is impossible for us to keep up with them… Is this what they mean when they say "Survival of the Fittest"? Isn't there an alternative to directly selling power? (Though that would mean placing things behind a paywall, but the devs are doing that already…)

This game is gonna have hackers, unless the devs rollout some really effective anti-cheat system.

[Forum Game] How will TO END!?

Tanki will end, because it is destined to, from the very beginning… Nah~
  19. Appearance wise, Wasp looks like a jeep from the 1960s. Hornet, on the other hand, looks like something we'll be making in a few decades time. Of course, this is just the looks, but still…

    Marketing Systems in Online Games

:excl: Before we proceed, I would like to state that this is NOT a political or government regime topic. The terms "free market" and "planned market" used in this topic refer to the Economics system in many online games we see nowadays. Definition of Terms (Online Games) Free Market - the prices for game items are set freely by consent between players, in which the laws and forces of supply and demand are free from any intervention by the developers. Planned Market - the prices of game items are set entirely by the developers or any body which runs the gaming company, whereby the forces of demand and supply are easily manipulated to suit the game's overall economy. Which is better? There is no online game in this world that stands at the ends of the marketing spectrum. All games, AAA or indie, has a mixed marketing system with a fixed proportion of marketing freedom and developer plannings. A free market certainly provides more marketing freedom for the players, not to mention that trading between players is allowed. This promotes a self-sustaining market system, and the interest of the players are protected by the prices set by themselves. However, this could bring damage to the gaming industry, as profits for players are more focused than profits for developers, which sustains the gaming industry itself. A planned economy allows little to no economical interaction between players, but the good thing is that the profit which guarantees the survival of the game title is ensured. It prevents the market from possible hyperinflation or any other forms of damage, and the game industry is very well protected. Tanki Online's Marketing System Tanki Online's marketing system, in my opinion, is more of a planned economy whereby no trading can possibly be done between players. To put it blantly, the only trading is done between player and developer. Inflation rate, demand and supply, distribution of crystals, income equality/inequality are in the hands of the developers, giving them ease of access when it comes to protecting the game's financial success. Examples of Slightly Free Market Games MapleStory Path of Exile DDTank Magic Campus Examples of Planned Market Games Tanki Online World of Tanks Counter Strike I am interested to know what do you think about the marketing system of Tanki Online. Should it remain? Should it change?
