The Trickster drone has been my default drone lately, in particular for the reason that it was one of few options, and in my view the only decent option, left for an active player to compete with inactive players in the efficiency ranking, which has been an issue ever since the misguided "experience boost" of September 2020. I had fun on Tanki for eight years, I have spent up to 2.000 Euros over those entertaining years, but now developers are doing everything imaginable to convince me that it were time to move on. The big issues with Tanki are that it has come to ever more sacrifice the number of players for revenue per player, that it has come to ever more sacrifice all dimensions of strategy for gambling, These are big issues. But what has effectively turned this customer off is the vandalization of account statistics per "experience boost" or the refusal to update profile pages.
-
No. Tanki has already committed too many abhorrent aesthetic crimes to court the least intelligent subset of 12-year-olds. We do need less of such crimes, not more. If the circus of shot effects should get new additions at all, it would have to be stuff that fits a tank battle game, and rainbow colour shot effects certainly do not qualify.

What made the Gauss EMP salvo augment so disruptive and wrong is the short reload time. Regrettably, the previous nerfs did not address this one issue, but rather nerfed other aspects that did not need to be nerfed. As the augment appears somewhat ok now overall, the only action I feel warranted would be to turn back previous nerfs and rather make the reload time longer than regular Gauss. Personally, I own this augment, but I am too much of a gentleman to ever use it. I rather like to punish the pathetic wannabe ghetto bullies who use it, as every decent Tanki player should. And since I recently made the Trickster drone my default drone, I do actually welcome Gauss EMP augments in the enemy team.

There is a video by a Youtuber who finishes the minigame, needing 692 energy. What you can get from playing is 316 energy. The best shop option to buy the remainder of 376 energy is 28 energy for 14 Euros, which sums up to 188 Euros. Here you have your price tag for the crisis drone.

@Spy, Sir, I have no doubt that the moderating team possesses all the personal and professional skills necessary to convey a persistent wish and demand of the players and customers to the developers, no matter where in the forum this wish and demand is persistently raised. I did myself open a thread for this in the "Ideas and Suggestions" section before, and so did others over the past year or even years. The point is that the messaging towards the developers on this must be as persistent as the wish and demand is.
-
What you can do is tell us that you relay the persistent demand of players and customers, that the existing profile pages should be updated ASAP, that you relay this demand to developers as diligently and persistently as you relay the repective years-old developers' message to the players and customers. We all hope that you do this.
-
With all due respect, we hear this lame excuse for more than a year now. What players and customers want, this is Tanki dedicating no more than one coding hour to updating the profile pages. This would be a much more profitable investment than the zillions of coding hours that get invested in all kinds of gimmicks that nobody asked for. And if some years into the future, account statistics may actually find their way into the game itself, it will hopefully be no less informative than the little tool of user @DaringDeer is today. https://pasteboard.co/JWYS34d.jpg

Here is my third and last comment on the topic: I just played some more battles. This update becomes even more horrible with players adapting to it. The only positive thing I can see about this update is that Tanki forcefully nudges me to spend my time with stuff more meaningful than this game. I'm out.
-
So after playing extensively with the new update, I can clearly say that I decidedly dislike it. Besides the point of deliberately annoying players and customers by devaluing their defence modules, which I raised in my first comment on this, I find this further randomization of gameplay appalling. I liked the game that I joined many years ago for inviting strategy, tactics and the development of skills. These days, Tanki increasingly feels like gambling. Gambling for account development with all sorts of containers, and now more than ever gambling for battle success with chance shots.
-
What this update actually says is that from now, some of the other tanks' shots at you will ignore your defence modules against their weapon. And that for several hundred Euros invested in ultra containers, Tanki will let you buy redemption against this annoyance. You might see something positive in this update if you generally think that defence modules should be devalued. However, this technique of deliberately annoying players and customers and offering redemption only for serious money is not a successful development path for a game. While Alternativa might make some one-time money with those seeking to buy this redemption, many players and customers who do not like being deliberately annoyed will leave the game, and Alternativa will never again make money with them, while at the same time damaging their product by decreasing the number of players.
-
I do not mind you passing it to Perm as your idea and taking all the credit. ?
-
However, this would not be an argument against displaying those in the garage, with information how to obtain. I never understood why of those augments who exist but an account does not own, some are displayed and some are not. It works with paints to display all of them, those you can directly buy and those you can not, so why not with augments, too? It might even give an incentive to people to buy those containers which may contain them. And it would provide welcome transparency.

valid Remove the K/D ratio from all profiles
von_Cronberg replied to tankcalm in Ideas and Suggestions
Profile pages should be updated and further important characteristic account information like the finishing quota should be added. Tanki could most efficiently solve issues and give the game a good future by spending less than two hours updating the profile pages. But no information should be removed, and certainly not the K/D ratio. If you want to nudge people to focus on the game mode, then repair the formula for the efficiency ratio, which is broken since the misguided "experience boost" parameter change of September 2020. -
What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
von_Cronberg replied to TheCongoSpider in Game Discussion
Since September 2020, not playing Tanki means improving one's efficiency ranking every day.
