What is 'jump hacking' actually? If it is what I described above I did myself, then what is actually wrong or bad with it? Anyway, shouldn't it be easy to switch that detection off at least when there is no gold dropping? Or is there a benefit from it other than catching gold? Catching supplies? I have many times caught supplies in the air without self-destruction, on the other hand I have been self-destructed multiple times when there have not been supplies dropping (and I believe also in places where supplies don't even drop at). Whatever the case, I'd kindly ask that detection be removed until it actually works. I started around 2015 if I remember correctly, but I don't remember that kind of talk about jump hackers. On the other hand, I've never been so keen on gold boxes, instead I think they ruin the game and should be removed from it altogether but that's another story.

In the very first post under this topic it is mentioned that the anti-cheat system has a "feature" that makes a tank self-destruct when put on top of another tank. That post is from year 2015 and it says that the developers are working on it. What is the status of that work? That happens very often and, unlike the post says, is not limited to Madness but occurs in every map. Today I lost a gold box because my tank self-destructed when I jumped for it and there was another tank waiting for it below me! What kind of cheating is it supposed to detect and when will it be fixed?

Nope. Buyers and supply users are not the same thing. I suppose the majority of players who use supplies do not spend any real money on this game.

I have now played without using supplies for about a week. I don't think it is at all as frustrating as people here tell. Not a single time have I felt a need to insult anyone. Often I see extra supplies appear on enemies when I attack them, but hey, that's just life - I use the "skill" to beat them anyway :D I'm playing freeze so for me one of the "skills" is going round the enemy and freeze them at the same time so that they cannot shoot back and eventually freeze to death or get killed by my team mate - that's the way I've always played also with supplies, so not so much new there. I have still plenty of choice regarding the battles I enter. I can select battlefields that fit well to my turret. For freeze the best battlefields are moderately sized ones so that snipers won't dominate. Also the battle must have enough players in it before I enter as freeze does not work well in one-on-one type battles. I also try to select battles where my rank is among the top three ranks that can enter the battle. It's not more difficult than that, I don't even feel a need for Pro battles where everybody would be prevented from using supplies. In the end results of battles I have still very often been in the top half - maybe not as high as with supplies but hey, still in the top half. Based on all this I am now even more sure than I was earlier that all the talk about supplies being SO overwhelming is just plain rubbish. I have done this just as kind of an experiment, I will return back to using supplies later (if I continue playing Tanki in the first place as I'm extremely fed up with the daily insults in the chats of the battles). I just started doing this experiment as I thought I should spare some of my supplies now as they cannot anymore be bought as cheaply in the garage as earlier.

I interpret that not using supplies violated the earlier version of the rules. If this current rule still means the same although its wording is different, then it violates that, too. However, I have never said and never meant that ban is the correct punishment for breaking this rule. Also, I have never said that having less skills or network connectivity issues (as long as they are real connectivity issues and not faked as meant in rule 2.1.5) violates this rule. Claiming such is nothing but twisting my words and intentional provocation.

Regardless of how I interpret that part of the rules it cannot be that because Gabe said "as per your wish" while that is a reference to the game rules (unless he is twisting my sayings like I suspect).

From now on I will ignore everything you say as I have been advised. P.S. It is irrelevant if the supplies got from missions is enough or not, you can still use the ones you've got. If you were in a real war and you wouldn't have enough ammo, would that be a valid reason not to use what you have? No need to answer as I will ignore you, but you can think about it if you like.

Everyone gets a number of supplies for free. What are you saving them for? Everyone also has the freedom to choose how they use their crystals to make their garage as competitive as possible (and as difficult as possible for opponents to beat it). Your question, however, refers to real money, which I don't see related to this.

Yeah. So as 'drugger' is not an official word but 'druggist' is, could it be 'supplist' as it is not an official word (afaik) while supplier is :D

I said that in an earlier version of the rules it was said in a more clear way and there was actually multiple sentences describing this very thing. In this version it says only "fighting in the interest of the opponent's team" is prohibited, but I assume it still means the same thing. I understand that there are situations where use of supplies is not wise, but if you have an attitude problem with using them, then you are making it easier for (aka helping e.g. playing in the interest of) the opponent team.

You may be right for now, but I really hope Tanki will quickly do something about it. However, this discussion has given me the impression that the problem is not in the time it takes to handle reports (that would be easily solved by the automatic bans) but in Tanki staff not realizing how severe abuse and bullying it is to constantly call names like noob and drugger on strangers (of course I hope I am wrong with that). It is not important if they implement exactly my idea or not. It is important that they implement anything effective that make the insults stop for good.

From the very beginning (prior to that post as well) I have all the time been talking about the same insults, the ones that players refusing to use supplies direct to players who play according to the game rules. (Deliberately refusing to use supplies violates at least the last sentence in rule 2.1.5, which in an earlier version of the rules was stated even clearer.) No wonder we are having these issues with understanding each other if your reading skills are on that level. That is just your own conclusion (exactly what you blamed me for earlier.) My question was addressed to Tanki staff, your opinion I already knew. Anyway, yes I do expect Tanki to do something about those 'noob drugger' insults and consider also my proposal at the same time. They would certainly get a lot new players if they started to carry out their own rules. 'noob' and 'drugger' are probably the most commonly used words in Tanki chats (as some of you were so keen on statistics, why hasn't anybody come up with statistics on that?). It really does not need any kind of provocation for those words to appear in the chats again and again. Just in case someone is so childish that would claim that the use of supplies is such a provocation, it is not as using supplies is a completely valid and expected behavior in a standard battle and it also takes place in the game and not in the chat. I would assume that currently over 95% of all first provocations are calling someone a noob or a drugger (feel free to show me the stats to prove me wrong). After all, if the automatic ban was implemented according to my proposal, it would not matter at which point any recordings have been started. Earlier we discussed the levels of insults. Somebody had an opinion that insulting someone's mom is very bad. I agree on that, but at the same time I do not understand why insulting my daughter should be accepted. If Tanki accepts insulting my daughter, shouldn't it automatically give me the right to insult someone's mom? I've never done that (insulted anyone's mom) and I would never like to do that, I'm just trying to give something to think about. I feel that is extremely unfair and indifference towards insulting my children really makes me angry. Actually, I remember also a couple of times when someone insulted my mom to me in the chat. It did not feel even close to as bad as when I see my daughter being insulted. Of course those insults hurt every other child and every other player as well. Ps. Don't even try to claim that addressing an insult directly to its target (daughter, mom or whatever) is less severe than addressing it to somebody else. I think somebody blamed me earlier for ignoring a problem that according to the blamer exists in the way the supplies are implemented in Tanki. On the other hand I have been adviced to use the 'ignore' function in the chat when someone insults me. I find that quite illogical. I don't know it it was because of Tanki staff having read this discussion or if it was just a coincidence but yesterday I even noticed an automatic message in Tanki server chat that adviced people to use that 'ignore' function in case they encounter harassment. I hope that kind of hiding the issue is not Tanki's (at least final) solution to this very severe problem. A big part of the hurt that insults cause comes from their publicity. It does not go away if you close your own eyes from it. You still know that all your friends and everybody else see how you are being insulted. The situation gets even worse if you know that Tanki staff is not even trying to do anything about it.

Not targeting this at Gabe, that just reminds me: a 5 minute ban would of course not be enough for the professional abusers who keep breaking the rules and manners despite of the bans they get. The system should keep track of the bans and their reasons and if the same account needs to be banned again (for the same reason maybe?), the ban duration should gradually increase.

I understand that sometimes good friends talk to each other in a bit rough way in real life, it kind of expresses their friendship. But in Tanki chat, yelling 'drugger' together with the nickname of someone you don't know, have never met and never talked with (you don't even know what language(s) s/he talks) is always and exclusively abuse (for the sake of easier implementation of ban automation). If someone really wants to express his love to another player by calling her a drugger, he can certainly live with the fact that it cannot be done in Tanki chat :)

I'm not sure if that is a good idea but I really appreciate you brought it up in a constructive way, thank you for that. At least my children seem to want to chat with their friends during battles regardless of whether they are on the same side or not. They want to laugh together when something funny happens etc. That may be wasting of time but the ultimate purpose of the game is for everyone to have fun after all, right? On the other hand the most fanatic supply haters abuse players even in their own team, although that is a much less common case.

Oh boy, am I really replying to this... The only purpose for calling someone a drugger is to insult and offend. Therefore it is abuse. Have you ever seen someone calling another player a drugger for any other reason in Tanki chat? What could such another reason be? The player calling another player a drugger (or any other offensive name) thinks he is a better person himself, above the others, although in standard battles the expected behavior is to use supplies and therefore not using them is kind of odd.

I am saying that insults like calling someone a drugger or noob is abuse. It is not someone speaking his mind about a game feature, it is an attack against another person. If someone wants to complain about a game feature, she can do it for example here in the forum, preferably still in a productive manner. I am astonished how you people cannot see the difference between talking about a person and about a matter. I suggested automation for the bans because the mods' workload was disclosed.
