True you can use Skype but in order to do so you need to have Skype and have an account. If you have Skype and account than you need to add player to your contacts and that takes time. Time that many don't want to spend doing it. You can also say that they can use other programs like TeamSpeak but all those programs needs you to have some sort of contact and in-game voice chat would make it more convenient. Again it is everyone's opinion and I do respect that.

True many organized players use programs like TeamSpeak or any other programs for communication. For organized players mainly for random battles can still be beneficial. For example, telling you teammates you see incoming enemy, etc. But you are right in some part as it takes some sort of organizing so everyone don't talk at the same time. It can make players be more organized (well that's what I hope) or it can make chaos. Again it is everyone's opinion and I do respect that.

The project is really complex but just because it is complex doesn't mean it should be ignored or denied but everyone have different opinion and I do respect that.

Hey smurf55555, I looked at your topic and yes it is similar. Sorry that I made same topic as you did but when i was searching for one on voice chat I couldn't find any, so I was thinking that there is no topic on voice chat.

Ruin skype for you? I don't understand what you mean by that. I mean skype is used for more things than tanki online game. Or do you have a community on skype? If so you can still use it instead of in game voice chat. If it's not any of those, can you explain how in game voice chat would ruin skype for you?

That is true, people do use programs like skype or TS3 but that takes more time to set up when you play with random people and sometimes they don't have any of programs to use (they could just get the program but some take registration and all that would take too much time and many don't have patience to do so). What I was thinking when you're playing with random people it would be much easier and faster if voice chat would be thing in game.

Many of you already know voice chat. It is one of the things that make team gaming easier and more fun. Yes it is true, it has advantages and disadvantages but it all depends how you use it. Some of the advantages are: > Easier coordinating around the map, > Knowing of opponents location, > In CTF, knowing the location of team player with opponent's flag, > For players with Isida also known as medics, knowing where are players with low HP, > For players with Shaft also known as snipers, know if they were spotted, > ... Some of the disadvantages are: > No protection for cursing, > Voice chat is perfect things for spammers, > Some of the people have "annoying" voice, > It can be difficult to understand if more than one is talking at the same time, > ...
