Important anouncement! With the most recent update, some major changes have been made regarding the lightweight augments for all hulls. Since there were still a few days left for the first challenge, we decided to postpone this first challenge. We'll have to see if the physics for the lightweight augments stays this way or changes in a few weeks. This also means that all the challenges we came up with may no longer work... For now, make sure you follow this topic to stay up to date with news about this contest. I wanted to get more activity within the parkour community with this contest. Hello parkourists! It's been a while since there was a parkour tournament. We think it's time to get some action back into the air! Our organizers have created 5 challenges on one specific map for you and your team to complete. Anyone can participate in this tournament, even parkour beginners! All 5 challenges take place on the Industrial Zone MM map. The first challenge is easy, but gets harder with each challenge. Do you think you have the right knowledge and skills to complete all 5 challenges? Yes? Let's take a look at the details of this unofficial parkour tournament! General rules A team should consist of 4 team members. The minimum is 2. We recommend using 4, as some challenges require 4 players to complete it. To enter the contest, you must submit a video of your team completing the first challenge. The team members you submit for the first challenge will be your team for all of the challenges. You may use an independent camera person to record your tricks. Once you have made the challenge, please press TAB so the nicknames are visible. Space mode is NOT allowed The entry video should not be edited. The interface of the entry must be visible. All the entries must be uploaded to YouTube and should stay UNLISTED until the specific challenge is over. Dates The contest will start on the 3th of November 2023, when the first challenge has been published. The new challenge and its survivors will be published on the day of the deadline, at 18:00 UTC+0. Each next challenge will begin on the same day we announce the previous challenge at 18:30 UTC+0. Important information This parkour contest is UNOFFICIAL. This means that Tanki has nothing to do with this contest. This unofficial contest does not contain any prizes as Tanki does not support contests held outside of its headquarters. We did our best to give out a small reward to the players who participate, but unfortunately it was a big NO. It's been a while since there was a parkour contest. We, organizers, thought it would be time for a parkour contest to bring some action to the parkour community. We hope that our volunteer work will be appreciated by the community. A contest where a challenge is given every week, which gets harder and harder every week. As a former Parkour Survival Organizer (2019), I have the experience and knowledge to organize such a contest. I asked the CM for in-game prizes. But unfortunately this is not possible. It will be an unofficial parkour competition without prizes. What is the purpose of this contest? If you are ready for new challenges in parkour, this is your ideal opportunity to participate and stretch your brain Before I spend my time creating parkour challenges, I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts.

It is indeed an annoying situation. Me and my team already recorded 1 trick today. We simply followed the rule: "The video must be shot exclusively for this competition. All team members must wear the «Master of Parkour 2023» paint". This situation is not our fault. I am 100% sure they are aware of this issue and will probably fix it after the weekend. If this was a big deal, they would have announced it.

I must admit that the Official status lost its status. In the first case, it should never have been possible to meet certain requirements to get the Official status. This is where the Official status lost its status. You can see the results when clubs meet those requirements and get the Official status (as you said): "Clubs losing motivation once they get the status, dropping in activity and quality, or falling apart completely". Clubs going Official say "we've got the Official status and paint, nothing is stopping us from taking the Official status away. Let's sit back and do tranquilo". It may sound harsh, but this is the reality. Once you have Official status, there is nothing that will remove Official status. Unless you break one of the current official parkour club rules (which is almost impossible these days lol). However, I don't think Official status should be completely scrapped, as some clubs certainly deserve it when you compare their activity and quality with other Official clubs.

As a real life filmmaker and Tanki Online Video Editor, I agree with you. It makes no sense whether parkour videos are in 30 or 60 FPS. It should be the editors choice to make it in 30 or 60 FPS because as you said, 30 can be just as smooth as 60 FPS, especially in video games. The most ridiculous rule for the official clubs is that the video must be in 1440p. This way you are forced to buy a 1440p monitor (which is expensive) to actually meet this requirement. Yes, you can record in 1080p and export in 1440p, but there is literally 0% difference in quality. Such a useless rule that makes no sense at all. I think this should change with the next upcoming parkour rules.
