Ah, back on topic! Fantastic, got my M2 Isida, M2 Thunder and M2 Hammer. I've worked like crazy to get Captain and it paid off when the sale came around. Thanx Tanki. Edit: wish I was Lieutenant Colonel :rolleyes: those M2 Twins look sweeet.

Hunter and Hornet seem to do well. You're going to need to get in quick and then get out faster but with some armour. Once your three shots are done the long reload time makes you vulnerable. But you can take a lot of hulls out with one or two shots, most are done in three. I saw some great D/Ls on a drugging M2 Hammer, got my M2 Hornet in one shot each time. My M2 Hammer gave me a lot of joy, good for defence and fun in attacking. Drugged, it's a beast of a weapon. Most oppenents turned and ran if they could.

Keyboard alone works fine for me, but I did start to wear out the arrow keys. Now I use the alt controls except when I'm eating with one hand and playing one handed. Usually I get shot a lot more when playing one handed, guess there's always a trade-off.

My vote is for Saiga, same reason as stated above. It's a 12-gauge shotgun used by the Russian military. My only other ideas were Gauge, Frag or Carbine (not really that relevant as a carbine is rifled). You've also got Buckshot, Browning (in honour of John Browning) or Winchester (a long-time manufacturer of shotguns, where John Browning worked). 1 Smoky 2 Firebird 3 Twins 4 Railgun 5 Isida 6 Thunder 7 Freeze 8 Ricochet 9 Shaft 10 ??? So look at the first letters - two S, two F, two T, two R but only one I, so would we choose Izhmash (made the Saiga)? Or Impale? Or Impact? I hear there's also an idea for a machine gun... Hailfire would be my choice. Or Havoc or Torrent.

I don't see how the updates made the game less enjoyable. The balanced prize funds are a welcome change, I think tankers are staying and playing for the team. I've only encountered one ill-tempered fella who really wanted me to give them the flag - that can be cool but not as he had more points than me. I'd probably agree that the Gold Box should just drop without warning. But as it is now it does work as a welcome distraction if the other team all decide to run at the Gold Box drop zone in CTF. I've had a couple but only when they dropped in my line of sight. I got my boxes driving my Hornet, don't need a heavy tank in some maps but did need to armour up to survive the grab. There's almost no chance of getting a Gold Box if you die immediately after the drop notice - you simply don't spawn fast enough. Overall, I'm in favour of the recent changes. I'm going to be generally in favour anyhow, I'm one of many who suggested Night Mode and a change to Shaft in the Ideas and Suggestions thread. Night mode is spot on, great atmosphere and changes the battle dynamics. Makes it more interesting. Laser scope looks cool and I feel it's needed to make Shaft more of a challenge to play. I was bored with playing Shaft but you know that you have to alter position to avoid being hunted down and pinned in a corner. If the action movies got it correct then snipers generally change cover when tracking their prey. I think this'll make players less inclined to dislike Shaft and balance opinions of what's the most troublesome turret. Grrr, double powered Ricochet :( Hmm, wonder if we'll get amphibious TO soon ;). Oh! and active snowfall in Winter mode - maybe a blizzard on occasion!

Can't wait to see what Semyon's make up is next year, Jigsaw from Punisher anyone? Haha!

Works for me, either way. But at lower ranks I really needed those crystals to build up a defence and stay alive for longer than 8 seconds.
