  1. Hey, it's better to keep the language in English so that the moderation team doesn't face difficulty in their work ;)
  2. Yes, that is completely fair. If you look at the winners, there are only three winners in the whole lot of two hundred. This concludes that the quiz was very hard, and thus the only three people who got the answers correct deserve to win more. However, eighty-four people were due 30k, but this was too much. The rewards were then decreased down to 20k, and the number of winning people to 30. I agree, next time it will surely be there. Although I mentioned this warning at least two or three times in the topic's comments, but I guess no one saw them or didn't notice them.
  3. 40k is the reward for completing the quiz with all answers given correctly. The prizes were reduced to 0k for the lower categories; because I have explained the removal of the last three tiers, it was because they simply had too many people in them. Eighty-four people were in the 25+ category, and only 30 get 20k. Around a hundred more were in the 20+ category. 15+ and 5+ had only twenty and two or three people - it made no sense to reward those people as they only had two or three answers correct. You had 12 answers correct, whereas you needed to have 13 to win the quiz. Next time, only submit when you know you have all the answers right.
  4. I ranked those paints on the basis of the camouflage they provide, not looks. If you're considering looks, then yes, Corrosion is worthy of at least 9/10.
  5. Actually I wrote a note on the day of the publication that the rewards may or may not be decreased: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=362209&p=6310530&do=findComment&comment=6310530
  6. If anyone is wanting to know (because of the nature of the question), my previous names were Antartica and DestroyerPdox.

[Issue 70] ⏪ Rewind: Issues 60-69 of the Newspaper

Congratulations to readers and writers alike! The Official Tanki Online Newspaper has reached it's seventieth Issue. We are proud of this miraculous achievement, and thank everyone who supported us throughout the years. Since the beginning, many articles have been published which got a lot more attention than others, simply because they were one of the best articles of their times. In this article, I'll be taking a look at the ten best articles published in the last ten Issues, 60 to 69. So without further ado, let's jump right into the archives... ______________________________________________________________________________________ #10 - If The English Community Was A Bowling Alley by: @Yisroel.Rabin The If The English Community Was a/an X series has been adored by readers and writers alike, although some of the parts were definitely a bit more funnier and humorous than others. Since the start of the Newspaper, the English Community has been a hotel, a country, a football team, a city--- got stuck in a desert, switched planets--- went trick or treating and now finally, turned into a bowling alley. I won't spoil the contents for you, this one's definitely worth giving a go. #9 - Answered: Your Hottest Questions! by: @Coldplay Strikethroughs, questions and humor all come together in this awesome, one-of-a-kind article published by the Newspaper. Is Ostrica Godmode, a robot or just some random potato? Do Administrators drop Gold Boxes? Did Cedric finally cut his hair? Куда пропал Semyon Kirov? Find out all that information right now by clicking the link above! As for me, well, we all need laughs sometimes, don't we? #8 - The Map Making Guide: Part 1 - Software by: @Adriel.RB and @Vikingsrallentando In this series, the Newspaper teamed up with @Adriel.RB, a professional (non-official) map-maker from the community, whose biggest passion is - you got it, making maps. As of now, he has created well over a dozen maps, and all of them are quite decent. In the first part of the series, everything related to the software required to making maps is explained in a clear, detailed manner. The team looks forward on continuing the Map Making Guide project in hopes of bringing back the art of map-making into the community. It is definitely a must-read for anyone who's willing to learn more about making maps. #7 - Crash by: @tweezers If there's any story out there which kept a perfect flow till the very end, and then completely surprised everyone with a twist no one would even think of expecting, it's this one. Crash goes over the unfortunate, yet happy lives of two people, whose day started from the library and ended in the hospital after a horrific crash. Little did they know, they would be walking away, leaving everything behind. I'm sure this is undoubtedly one of the best stories most would ever read in their lives. #6 - It's Time To Excel In: Bridges by: @Hexed Flow, length and comprehensiveness are many of the most important things a guide should have, and surely, this guide had them all. The It's Time To Excel In: X series has always been a major part of any Newspaper Issue it published it, and that is because everyone enjoyed reading it. In fact, I think writing the first installment of this series is what got me into the Newspaper! This installment built on the previous ones in terms of length, detail, format and so on, and I'm quite happy to say that it has finally achieved the structure I was willing to take it to. Can't understand some certain aspects of a map? This series is the way to go. #5 - 7 Ways To Succeed With Your Helper Application by: @Flexoo One of the most informative and insightful articles published in the last ten months, 7 Ways To Succeed With You Helper Application goes over some of the many important things and mistakes applicants do whenever they apply for a job. The article contains a list of useful and helpful tips which aim at helping people in sending the best application possible. Although following this article doesn't guarantee your chances of making it into a Helper group, it may increase your chances to be picked dramatically. I'd say this article is unquestionably a must-read for anyone who's willing to become a Helper in the future. #4 - Broken Vow by: @Phoenix-Warbird Broken Vow goes over the lives of three people, whose day from a beautiful wedding under a hand-carved gazebo, turns into a nightmare - darkness, cold, you name it. Being a personal favorite, I'd say this is one of the best stories ever published by the Newspaper, and that's something to be really proud of. If you have a taste for unexpected changes, you should give this one a read. #3 - The Ultimate Guide to Magnum by: @Hexed and @Zenyth The Ultimate Guide series has always been a very informative and commendable part of the Newspaper. It's aim is to carefully dissect and review each turret on the basis of its performance, record and abilities. So far, this series has covered every single turret in the game, with the exception of Striker - which you can hope to be published very soon actually. That being said, the Guide to Magnum is definitely one of the highest ranking installments of the series. In a collaboration between two Reporters, this guide goes over everything there is to know about Magnum, from the most vague of statistics to the most minute of details; while maintaining an excellent comprehensive and encyclopedic structure throughout the article. It earns a well deserved number three spot in this list. #2 - Explained: The Chat Moderation by: @Flexoo Explained: The Chat Moderation was written with only one thing in mind - and that was giving a clear picture to the world as to how Chat Moderators go about doing and managing their jobs. It goes over many questions one might have about moderation of chat, and then finally ends with an interview with , the Chat Administrator herself. Definitely a must-read for anyone willing to know more about the in-game chat! #1 - Expanding Your Battle Expertise by: @St.Guardian This article is a work of extraordinary structural originality, which finds a perfect way to combine seasoned skills and techniques used by professionals in the game into an article that not only goes over them as a guide, but also makes them very easy to understand. The way it illustrates the content in it clearly shows how much time and thought was put into it. You can sense it's poise and ingenuity from the very first sentences. Professional writing, interesting diagrams and the flow are some of the many things that helped this article into the number one spot. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Those were the top ten articles published in the Newspaper in the last ten Issues. Which one of those was your personal favorite? Did you like any other that we didn't mention in this list? If so, don't forget to post your comments and opinions below. See you in the battlefield!
  10. If you want me to mention the sources of each of the question, let me know (quote or simply like this comment).

  12. Your entry was never submitted, I never got it in the results sheet.
  13. There were eighty four total people in the [25+] category. Out of these, only thirty were chosen as winners through a random word generator.
  14. Different type of contests have a different set of rewards, however, due to a mistake on my side (that I didn't realize we could pull in two hundred entries), the reward system first promised was highly imbalanced. Even if we decreased the rewards by more than half, there were still eighty-four total winners, meaning that we had to make a system where only the best would win. Since that's not possible in such a contest, we decided to finalize the decision by going with a random thirty winner reward system, and here it is. I do hope such a mistake won't happen again in the future, I apologize for any difficulties!
  15. In the future, we might be changing how often we publish, and then maybe we can publish time-based contests earlier than now. Only then you'll be able to get your crystals earlier, but it's not possible right now.
  16. All payments are cleared on Mondays, so any other day is unfortunately not possible.
  17. Regarding the Wolfenstein/Magistral issue, I got word that the list is variable - Magistral was in the map pool when the maps were being decided, but it was removed right after. Therefore, the correct answer we will be going with it "TRUE".
  18. Hello, this is the link to the spreadsheet where you can see your results: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IwOPalCzDx3Y79pULC4MTSNzYmfAZ0uWODY5kgaPhxE/edit?usp=sharing Please PM me if you have any questions regarding the changing of the results, I'll be happy to explain.
  19. Nice formatting, good questions and commendable humor. You should definitely get a bit more experienced and apply for Reportership ;)

Hey everyone, as we know that this is a community forum, we should all take part in contributing towards it rather than fighting or calling others out publicly. So, please stop fighting or arguing with others, no more comments towards each other, it is over and that is it. Further arguments may result in official warning and/or bans.
