I apologize - I've been rude, you are actually a smart and balanced guy ... have seen lots of post of yours ... as for the devs ... for years in a row these nerds have been trying to turn a once fascinating adults' game into a dull kindergarten with noobs and teens parkouring around and waiting for Gold ... No way I can be calm with such idiocracy around me ! -

I confirm all the above ... it is called passion .. might be a strange word for losers ))) Like any other competition in real life or i-net, this is a game abt winning and domination over the opponents and actually superiority does not take lots of time to be achieved ... an i7 32GB with 16Gb video, swift fingers, a cool mind, pro-active reactions and above all - determination ... as for time ... I don't have much time anyway - I am a broker and my real focus is on making real money ! But, like in real life, when you don't feel fit enough for something, say boxing or in our case for virtual battles - just quit ! I am really tired to have in my company mates with no hearths and no brains, with no clear vision of what their tasks are ... just lingering around and messing with normal fighters ! If you are not focused on victory along with your team - TO is not your game ... or it might be - if you like suffering - guys like me thrive on greenhorns ))) -

Dear Mr Mafioso (btw, quite an appropriate nick for someone working for the Alternative guys), I find it hard to swallow what you are suggesting - that a guy like me, who thanks to a proper strategy and reactions has risen well above the noob plankton, will now be less rewarded for killing a noob, than the same noob who has been fortunate enough to somehow kill me. I am easily dominating any battle because I have always used my mind and skills and so I have fully MUed weaponry with which to blast away the average tanker, turn the tide of almost any battle and hence grasp the lion's share of the fund ! Now you say that I should be punished for being so successful ??? This is actually transferring part of the fund from predators like me towards the miserable prey, that we feed on ... this is directly supporting mediocrity ! So, Mafioso, I don't know if you are drunk that early in the morning or are you just trolling ... but your answer is a complete non-sense, hope you realize that ! And yes, as I've been around since pre-RB times, I have certain doubts about the adequacy of the devs, but such a move is too ridiculous and stupid even for Permians ... So, I kindly ask the devs again - correct your algorithms, because this glitch is really confusing for you ... to say the least ... -

Hello, yesterday I was playing DM (I hate this noobish mode, but had a mission) and I noticed something strange. As you know one gets exactly 10 points for killing an enemy in DM, but after a while, obviously due to some glitch, I suddenly started receiving like 8-9 or even less points per kill. And this was persistent on whatever server I logged on. I don't care about DM, no serious tanker plays it anyway, but imagine if this bug is present also in other modes, esp in CTF ... due to the points distribution for a kill, I might have never noticed, that my score, hence crystal earning, has been actually reduced. Please, share your observations and if this proves universally true, we should kindly ask the devs to correct it asap - a bug decreasing the scores/earnings is quite frustrating ... -
Regarding your question, please read the below,: http://help.tankionl...scoring-in-ctf/ http://help.tankionl...-in-the-battle/ also check this formula - it is purely empiric, but seems to reflect the reality mol correctly: SL = Score Losers SW = Score Winners FL = Flags Losers FW = Flags Winners min means, that in the odd case when the losers have scored more than the winners, in the formula, SL/SW should be replaced by 1 this formula isn't perfect, but works pretty well in real time battles and it is abt how the battle fund of a team forms, abt the relation between the team score and the team crystals ... and of course you apply common math to it ... Regarding your personal scoring during a battle, then you'll receive 10 points for each kill you make; if the victim has been shot/wounded by another teammate(s), then both of you (or the three-four-etc) will get a total of 15 points for the kill, proportionally distributed amongst the killers. You also get points for retrieving back your flag, which points depend on the distance between your flag and your base. The biggest score you have for delivering the enemy flag - the amount of points depends on your enemy team - the more they are, the more points you get, because in TO the one who gets and captures the flag by his own, gets as much points as for killing the whole enemy team; if there were several players who took part in the delivery, then (if I reckon correctly) the one who took it from enemy base automatically gets 30% of the points, if he gets killed or passes it another player, the one who captures gets 40% and the rest is divided between them and/or eventually goes to other carriers (these latter 30% are also related to the distance a carrier has had the flag in his possession). Then, the amount of crystals you finally get (your share from your teams total earning, which earning is as per the formula mentioned before) is linearly proportional to the points you have scored during the battle. Hope clear ? And if you understand Russian, I may provide you with links to the appropriate threads in the Russian forum, which are far more complete and detailed.

Ignorance, negligence, greed, sabotage and any other type of improper team behaviour, typical for and provoked by the gold hunting should be clearly addressed and fought against - by removing the cause of it !!! ... otherwise noobs (who, alas, seem to be majority lately) will completely ruin what's left of the once exciting atmosphere of TO !

I see real danger in the existence of Gold and as the noble Cato the Elder, who constantly warned the Romans, I will never stop alarming the reasonable part of the TO community about the corrosive effect of Gold upon the minds of the weak ... if I may paraphrase: Ceterum censeo yellow box esse delendam !!!

Any discussion about Gold is pointless, because this is an item quite destructive for the team modes and should be removed completely once and for all ! Gold-hunting is equivalent to sabotaging and all such related topics must be cleaned off by the mods ! A lot can be said against the existence of the yellow box, but posting reasonable arguments is useless, when you have an adolescent contingent, which feels happy when collecting stuff, rather than when fighting and winning with its company ! Apparently, the only way to have at least some discipline in team modes is to wipe off any free items, that distract players from their team duties (luckily the devs removed the free crystals, now it is time to get rid of that silly Gold as well) !!!

Are you KIDding ))) Nothing to debate here ! The devs have made one good step by removing the free falling crystals ! It is well about time for the next logical step - to remove Gold from all team modes - the other noobish item, that provokes massive lack of reason and directly and indirectly encourages sabotage ! I have been in many battles where I repeatedly see one scene - a few players simply sitting or lingering and if you ask them why are they not playing with full power, they openly answer "I am here to wait for Gold, leave me alone" !!! There are even such characters, that ask "Gold was" at the very minute they enter the battle ... this clearly shows why are they joining - to hunt this yellow piece of box, which means to seriously hamper the efforts of the company !!! Just look at the TO servers in the last couple of years - they get increasingly plagued with inadequate plankton, that wonders around with no clear idea in their minds what to do on the battlefield and how to properly contribute to the team and on top someone here (who even dares to dream of being a reporter, let God and Devs save us from such a misfortune) is encouraging these noobs to focus on Gold ... this is outrageous, I tell you !

A moderator, please, kill this pointless discussion ... have the feeling, that I am in a kindergarten ... and, please - do not ever allow such noobish topics anymore - try to build a mol educated level in the forum, do not let the initial TO integrity completely fade away ... the game has downgraded enough already !

I am highly surprised to see yet another really strange topic - the author seems to approve and even encourage newbies to hunt Gold, which is 100% the same as to encourage them to sabotage ! Gold is a curse for this game, it is destructive, it's against any ethics and morality and should be removed from all team modes ! It may sound strange to many of the recent inhabitants of the TO servers, but the team modes are there to promote team-work, partnership and constructive assistance amongst the team mates. Gold is the opposite of all that - when it's about to fall, many tankers lose whatever little reason they might have had, abandon their duties (defenders, midfielders, attackers, doctors, etc) and dash for this yellow piece as hypnotized. Once, when there were less noobs in the game, it was considered a very bad taste and a total lack of integrity to hunt for gold, instead of doing the best for your company at your post ... and not helping the team is also called sabotage and should also result in severe punishment ! I am tired of fighting constantly against the gold madness, so will stress once again, that it can be a favorite item only for kids, noobs and hackers - sane players do NOT care about falling boxes - personal benefit is NOT a priority in a team game ... but it takes an intelligence a bit above the average to understand that ! Yet, if the developers, in their funny attempts to attract adolescents with "game candies" want to keep the yellow box, then it's better to make a special CTG mode (Catch The Gold mode) - there all the crystals might accumulate into golds, falling whenever the fund reaches 1k. Perhaps, then all who lack the team sense will leave the team modes free for normal players.

1 acc = 1 IP is impossible and you should know that ... if you don't, then probably your (IT) level is low enough, making it hard for me to list and explain you all the technical and game related reasons why this cannot and should not be implemented ! btw, as you've been here for couple of years, you should have noticed, that multing was and is directly and/or indirectly encouraged by devs, so don't expect any solution any time soon

Gold should be removed ! It provokes mainly sabotage, cheating and is against the core principles of a command game, it's destructive and childish ! This is one definitely noobish item and its popularity lately only shows how much the players level has downgraded for the last few years ... these days especially, I feel as if I'm in a kindergarten, with kids crying/fighting for a candy ... TO should promote teamwork and joint efforts and strategy to overcome the enemy, while Gold encourages the most primitive and selfish players, who are usually completely negligent about the team. Removing the free falling crystals was a great move against the inadequate plankton (which unfortunately more and more plagues the servers), but the devs should have removed the Gold then as well .. I'm sure they will do that and better sooner, than later ... And if, by some consideration, the devs want to keep Gold, let them create a special game mode - Capture the Gold (CTG) with or without teaming, where all the fund will be transferred exclusively into falling golds, once the fund accumulates 1k cry. This will clear the maps of a great deal of noobs, who obviously are happy to fight for this "gold" like mad dogs.

I like your fine sarcasm )) ... yet, I will say it straight - due to various reason too much to list now, the game has downgraded below anything I've expected - the devs managed to create a friendly environment here only for noobs, kids and hackers

xqz me ??? u disagree with me ??? do u really like the game now, with all the twisted guns/hulls and with the noobs around pushing flags when score is 10/20 to 0/1 or crying for Gold like kids for a candy ??? sorry dude, but you sound ... childish ... reason up !

btw - removing the crystals was one of the few good things done by the devs (another one was implementing the new physics)... Gold and the dayly gifts should be cut off next as well ... hope soon ! Gold, free crystals and gifts only contribute to the florishing of noobs, hackers and kids - the game does not need any of these !

Donate ??? Developers, are you kidding ??? After all these constant dull changes - No Way, no matter how big the discount might be !!! You've completely ruined the game and I don't only refer to the stupid twisting of the tech specs of the hulls&turrets. You've downgraded the plot and essence of the play to such a low level, that now all maps are plagued by inadequate teens and kids, asking for gold, parkour, peace or carrying flags like mad dogs, even when having 2-3 times numerical superiority. You, developers are also guilty of tolerating and encouraging multing, cheating, sabotaging ... and I will say it again, because it is most important - you've created a comfortable atmosphere for noobs and adolescents, which is disgusting for and drives off the intelligent players (which are the best payers as well) ! .. and after all your ignorance and (successful) efforts to degrade the game, you dare to ask for a financial support ... I don't know what you're smoking, but your minds are surely clouded !

... I play a lot of cp an Poligon ... You are very brave to play Poligon CP by your own ... it is a notorious hunting ground for organized bands, often on voice connection (though Poligon CP is simple enough and does not need much coordination). These bands almost always send mults in the opposing team to sabotage it ... and yes - you can do nothing abt that !

altair105 - judging by your comment perhaps are you: 1) teen 2) noob 3) loser 4) cheater 5) a sum or any combination of the above One of the many thing that spoiled the game - the free falling crystals - is now gone ... a few other noobish items - daily presents and Gold are unfortunately still here, but I hope for not much longer ! surely, there are many other wrong things, like the lack of any balance, the ranking-related weapons availability, the MUs, the auto-aiming, the so called new physics, the protective paints, the absence of limits for the flags (it is common now to see battles ending with score 10-1 or with even greater gap), etc, etc, etc ... but as long as this thread is about the gold, I will gladly say it again, especially 4 u:

Light tanks are the noobs' obvious and easiest choice. They are widely used for take-flag-and-run on almost all maps ... а simple strategy , no brains required - collect some drops on the way and dash to enemy base (works even without having to use the turret) Mid/heavy hulls demand more intelligence and beyond-the-average mastering of your gun and advanced gaming experience ... instead of foolishly running forth and back, the heavy one (a defender or a midfielder in 90% of all cases) has to evaluate the overall situation, the possible threats, the possible ways to counter an attack, how to support the team flag-carrier, how/when to use/activate the drugs (his own supplies btw, because there are seldom any free drops for the slow and heavy), etc, etc This means to be constantly on the alert, to consider and act pro-actively and the teen TO plankton doesn't like to think that much; on top, the heavy hulls still need even more armour (+10 to +20%) to compensate effectively for their lack of speed !
