APSACS Cambridge system (School) race event Based on real life cycle race which happened just yesterday. I think it was first time I ever participated in official cycle race and may be first contest in this year.There were like 50+ participants ready to part in cycle race including me.I was in Class 8 or O-1 and in my class there were like umm...15 approximately 15 participants. The road was not big enough that only 4 participants can race at a time.I use to come school by cycle so many were expecting that I will win race. The format of that cycle race was that it had 3 rounds and all of them were knock out. It was Thursday one day before race, I thought about practicing little bit. When I tried for sprint paddles it didn't work due to the wire of back brake and also chain was broken. I didn't knew who did this and I didn't want to I was worried about tomorrow's race. I went to my friends house and asked him whether I could borrow a cycle for tomorrow's race . He gently said "Yes of course buddy you can take it as long as you want and don't forget to win the race lol" It gave me such enthusiasm of race that I wanted to win the race at any cost. I didn't practice because it was late night like 11 pm so I went to bed and tried to sleep. I didn't sleep until 1 pm , don't know why may be because of excitement and whole night I didn't sleep much.I woke up at 6, prayed for my race and went to school. **** At 7:40 pm school officials and principles announced that we will be moving to race venue at 8:00 pm. It took 30 mins for organizers to confirm the route and tried to remove obstacles that may lead to accidents. First race was for girls and it started at 8:30 and ended at 9:00. A race takes max 10 mins. As there weren't many girls so only three races of them were done except final. At 9:00 pm the race of Pre O'levels (7) started and at 9:10 my race I mean first group of 0-1 race was about to start. We all were on starting line . It was first round and knock out round . We heard voices, 3 2 1 Go Go Go! (It reminded me of Counter Strike though) I was last in the race but then I rode my cycle as fast I can and came to first position as soon as I reached first position my cycle chain broke and the cycle stopped working. I tried to fix it but it was not something I could do and so I lost it. :[
