Whatever sront means, it looks like he's onto us.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Apologies for crashing the party with such a low rank... Down around my rank, I'm seeing more smokies than I use to, perhaps because of all the kits they've been offering. I'd prefer smoky to stay uncommon and underestimated.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

I assume you misspelled awesome on purpose.
  5. Goose, I'm with you. It's such a ridiculous feeding-frenzy around a gold box; I never go for them. I'd rather they were added to the battle fund. However, I think you missed the point of Tiger's and Sam's posts. In a short battle (shortened by this ridiculous update) there is a much greater chance that the battle will end in between the gold box appearing (the announcement and horn) and the gold box hitting the ground where it can be picked up. Several people in this thread have reported a battle ending between those two points. I'd rather people in this thread stopped emphasizing the gold box issue, however, and continued emphasizing how reaching a set score cap for the battle has nothing to do with whether the battle has "uneven teams or a clear winner", and is therefore not a solution.
  6. Just to add: I'm looking at server EN3 right now. There's a 30 minute Atra CTF going on, there are four people on one team, they captured ten flags. The other team left, there's nobody there. Pretty lopsided, huh? But they haven't hit the score limit, so they have to wait 19 minutes for their crystals. WTF?
  7. Yes, of course. To slightly edit myself, How many people need to point out that a grossly lopsided game is indicated, and only indicated, by a gross difference in team scores, not by reaching a set team score limit? When Semyon says in the announcement "The aim of this update is to make battles with uneven teams or a clear winner end sooner" my jaw just has to drop, since there is no correlation between this and reaching a set score limit. Played a 15 minute Rio TDM today. My team lost, early, 100 to 95. The one after that, lost 100 to 76. We get to choose time limits to our battles. How come we don't get to choose the score limit? In fact, why do we need both at the same time? One or the other, please. Lunacy. (In fact, it's so crazy that I have to assume there's something they are not telling us, and the reason for this update is something quite different.)
  8. How many people need to point out that a grossly lopsided game is indicated by a difference in scores, not by reaching a set score limit? Not wanting to be offensive, but seriously, are they all in first grade? I suppose if they can figure out what absolute score cap, for each map and mode, would be impossible to reach unless one team was slaughtering the other, that would be okay. Not great, but okay. What happened to their plan to end games if the teams were grossly uneven in size, anyway?
  9. Incidentally, I prefer to join losing teams as well, to support those players, try to pitch in and turn the tide, and make that battle better for everybody, hopefully. There is very little point to that now, or time for it. Unbelievable update. And again incidentally, I've learned the most--by a long way--while fighting on with a team that was getting slaughtered. It's very clear the developers do not actually play at all.
  10. What the hell does reaching an absolute limit have to do with "uneven teams or a clear winner"?!? Downvote, with everything I got.

New campaign against Mults and Saboteurs.

I support this campaign completely. I don't really have any hope.
  12. I like most of the posts in this awesome thread. Extra special appreciation of posts by jitij and Canadian_Eh. Something else I really like in Tanki is when, maybe after capturing a flag, I can steal one (or two or three), get back to the base, and drop it for the heavy tank defender doing the unglamorous-but-so-important job. When he lumbers forward, picks it up, and rolls over the base to capture, that feels good.

    Ideas for Missions!

Since the original Daily Missions thread is locked, I'm going to say this here. I would really appreciate it if there was a lot more variety in the maps that the missions required you to play in. In the last three weeks I haven't seen anything other than Kungur and Serpuhov. Even before that I would get Polygon and maybe (?) Rio. How about putting less-used maps into the Daily Mission mix? There are so many good ones that don't get enough play And I'm tired of carrying out missions in those two.
  14. I find it very hard to believe that the old, big rewards were going to ruin the game economy. Everybody who wanted to work a little bit could earn those nice big rewards. And then spend/use. Seems like a good economy. Perhaps someone from Tanki could explain what exactly is meant by 'game economy' and how it was going to be ruined. Now, if someone can spend 100 US dollars on crystals and buy the best equipment and tons of supplies, and others for whatever real-life reason can't or won't, that might wonk up the game economy. Perhaps the big rewards were going to hurt the company's economy.
  15. I'd gladly work harder for the old, big rewards, but I"ll seldom work at all for a piddly reward. Don't the Tanki developers understand how motivation works for most of us--in a game like this?
  16. My son's shaft is ruined until the bug is fixed. The targeting is off. The shot hits below and to the right of where the scope is aiming. Mouse controls are not being used or enabled. Looking forward to the fix.
