It does have to send a message to the servers, but not unless you do not rotate your turret. My life hack was for the bumpers. When a bumper will shoot with railgun, like at battle time 1:32, the jumper will receive the information that railgun was triggered at that time, so obviously it will automatically fire at 1:31 (railgun's warm up is about 1.1s). Either way, railgun works better for bumping If whatever I said above is wrong, at least your team mates won't blame you for lagging XD

Want to bump but have ping over 100? Use railgun instead. Since railgun has a delay, it is more of an anti lag turret.
