NATN-[Issue 4]-[Interview]-With a forum moderator
canadian_tank replied to canadian_tank in NATN-[Issue 4]-[Interview]-With a forum moderator Archive
Interview with @falcosenna1 @canadian_tank: Hello tankers! Welcome back to another NATN article where today, we are interviewing former forum moderator, falcosenna1, this is my first so please give my advice below lets go! ______________________________________ So hello falco, thanks for coming to this interview ca you tell us a bit more about yourself? @falcosenna1: First of all, thank for choosing me to do an interview with. It's an honor. I'm currently 18 years old and as you already mentioned, I've been a forum moderator indeed. I had to quit the job due to my studies. I'm studying medicine at the university of Ghent (UGent), one of the bigger cities in my country, namely Belgium. Some of you might already know I'm from Belgium thanks to this topic. (I advise all of you to check it :P) I go to the gym 2 to 3 times a week, depending on my workload. I've got a girlfriend who studies at the same university, but she's studying English and German so I hardly see her during the weekdays. Fortunately we can meet during the weekend. One of my interests besides science, sports and TO, is traveling. @canadian_tank: I see, now lets ask some in-game questions, mind telling us when you joined that game? @falcosenna1: I joined the game in August 2011 on another account which unfortunately got hacked. I created this account in February 2012. @canadian_tank: I see, well now lets get on with some questions about your position 1. What do you do after you getting on to the forum? 2.How active are you expected to be? 3. How can you lose your position? @falcosenna1: 1. Whilst being a forum moderator, the first thing I did when getting onto the forum was checking all new posts made in all topics I used to check and answering all my PMs. If I still had some time left, I went on to other topics to see if I could help anyone or if a certain topic needed cleaning, needed to be moved, closed, hidden. Now, I usually first go the the forum games if I'm not having any PMs. I like playing some of them. :P I also check if there are any interesting topics in Off-Topic Discussion. I still from time to time check Problems & Solutions to see if I can help. When I feel like I want to read a fun article, Press is the place I go to. :P 2. That's difficult to tell. There's no real time set. It's not the quantity that counts, but the quality of your work. I used to check the forum on a daily base, preferably several hours a day. Though, I think that if you can take a thorough, a real thorough look at the forum 3-4 times a week, you're active 'enough'. 3. You can of course lose your job due to inactivity. If you don't work, you'll eventually get fired, just like all other jobs. Also breaking the rules yourself can lead to dismissal. @canadian_tank: So do you have any advice for readers that wanna apply or had apply reading this? @falcosenna1: Before applying, ask yourself if you're eligible for the job. Do you meet the requirements? If you know you don't meet all requirements, you mustn't apply as you'll be rejected. When applying, be honest. Answer the questions truthfully. You mustn't apply for forum moderator for example if you hardly help people on the forum. You can give a good impression by helping people in Problems & Solutions, by reporting violations via the report option, by reporting misplaced topics,... I'm just giving a few examples. Also, if you're currently having a bad karma, you'll most probably not be given the job. All helpers must be some kind of example and must therefore manage to follow the rules themselves. @canadian_tank: I see it's not easy to be one, now let's finish of the interview, also, do you have any funny, weird experiences? Can you share them? @falcosenna1: I remember the awesome calls via Skype with random players, friends and clan members. Good times!! :P I've had some weird, funny PMs from players, and of course some hate PMs I actually enjoyed reading. Players saying they'll beat me in wrestling, players swearing with the most crazy words you can imagine. It actually made me laugh. I've been in a Parkour Club one too, the flying parkourists aka TFP. Due to lack of time, I decided to quit Parkour and focus on my job as moderator. Due to even more lack of time, I had to quit that job as well. Beautiful times!! @canadian_tank Well tankers, I unfortunately have to conclude this interview but special thanks to @falcosenna1 for making this interview possible, however, if you have a question to ask, do it below and i will select some for our next interview Interviewed/edited by: @canadian_tank Dates interviewed: December 13th, 2015 and December 18, 2015 -

NATN-[Issue 3]-[Guide]- How to report a violation with the forum
canadian_tank replied to canadian_tank in NATN-[Issue 3]-[Guide]- How to report a violation with the forum Archive
Unfortunately I, as you all might have seen am leaving tanki and this will be my only article this time, so let's start! 1. Take a photo/ video of violation (must be unedited) 2.Go to violation reports (Photo help) 3. See if it's a game violation or chat violation (help) 3. Go to one of them and then start a new topic (help) 4. Start a new topic like in the example below (help) Then you post it and if you can't find it, it's normal, be patient and you help make tanki a better place! :excl: WARNINGS :excl: Read the rules of posting Game violation: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=267487 Chat violation: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=188896 and see ya guys later! -
