  1. I wouldn't really call this a buff for Vulcan. The turret turns so slow you can't do any quick maneuvers with it if you're driving around or someone's dancing around you. It'll be even harder to capture flags with it now. I would say put the turret turning speed back like it was. To compensate, put the time-until-burn back as well. Vulcan was never supposed to be used with light hulls. Remember when it first came out? The recoil made it impossible to use with Wasp. I've always loved Vulcan, and I love Wasp too, but Vulcan has always been too much gun for Wasp, and I've always been fine with that. I agree with the longer spinup time... the way it used to be. That's a proper nerf.

    Ideas for Maps!

I hope you are guys right, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the return of Madness. It's a shame that cheaters could have such an effect on the game.

    Ideas for Maps!

Just my little way of protesting the criminal destruction of this amazing map. What I don't see the point of is taking it away, and replacing it with a map that no one ever plays. Clearly, that was a huge mistake. I don't mind if you guys delete my post, but you can't delete my passion for Madness.

    Complaint Book

I haven't been playing this account (my vulcan account) much, but if I had to guess I would say maybe it happens once per two hours of play. I don't think it's ever happened twice in the same battle.

It just needs a good name. How about, umm... Madness. Yeah. I like that.

Vulcan just spontaneously overheats sometimes. Usually happens in first fifteen seconds of a battle. Tank just turns red, even if I haven't fired a shot yet. Damage bar goes down.

Because the old system wasn't working fine any more. I was logging in to find maybe, if I was lucky, five battles to choose from, two of them are parkour, one is Polygon CP and the rest only have one or two players. No thanks. And Russian players and I have used Google to translate conversations between us, it's not great but it can facilitate communication. So why not build it into the game so we don't have to go back and forth between the game and Google? It shouldn't be a complex solution, it should be easy to implement.

I totally agree that it is now frustrating because so few players can chat in English. But what I hate to see is someone in chat telling a Russian "speak english". It's rude and selfish to me. This game was created by Russians, we're lucky we're allowed to chat in English at all, in fact we're lucky to even be playing the game. But the lack of chatting is a bummer. Perhaps Tanki could license some translation software or service from Google, Microsoft, or someone. Not sure if the technology is up to the task yet but it may be. Of course, game chat tends to be full of slang and bad spelling and grammar which would make translation difficult, but if the translation were handled by learning AI, it might get pretty good at it. And half the stuff said in chat doesn't make much sense anyway, so how much worse could the translation be? Now please bring back Madness.
  9. I would buy at least three of those 1500 supply kits this weekend if Madness were still available. Also I would buy probably two hundred dollars worth of crystals because two of my accounts badly need new gear. But until Madness returns, I'm not giving you another dime.
  10. Sorry I am posting too much, but I have to respond to these... Yes. Please. Dear god. I would give anything for this.
  11. Last year I remember Tanki had a survey asking "would you like to be able to customize your tank more?" If I'd known how perverted Tanki's idea of customization is, I never would have answered "yes".
  12. Yes, uniqueness has certainly gone down across the board. At this rate, I can only be worried about future updates...
  13. I won't hold sounding reasonable against you. :) Yeah the change here is so dramatic, I'm not sure even the most skilled Vulcan player would be able to make up for it. I would suspect in a month or two Vulcan will get a buff of some kind. I hear you about the sale, if I were you I would probably still go for it. :)
  14. Agree, rocking the tank to get the vertical is great for Rail, useless for Vulcan. I hadn't had a chance to experience the issues with instability (I just logged in, saw the death spin was gone, logged out), but just played now to see. Definitely makes Vulcan harder to use, I didn't realize how much I was taking for granted before. But maybe it's a good thing, maybe we can overcome that difficulty by developing skill in that area.
  15. Yes. I forgot to mention the vertical auto-aim, I totally agree with you, they shouldn't have messed with it.
  16. I can't do the "Vulcan Death Spin" anymore. You've taken all the personality out of this gun, almost all things that made it unique... impact force, recoil, barrel spin-up and spin-down, and now the gyro (and hence, the death spin). All gone. The only thing left that makes Vulcan unique is overheating (which is probably next on the chopping block). I used to love Vulcan, but the fun has been sucked out of it. Not that it matters, but here's how I would have nerfed Vulcan, if we take it back to the state was in six months ago before you guys started messing with it again, I would: - decrease damage - increase barrel spin-up and spin-down times, not decrease them - decrease time to overheat - increase overheating damage - maybe decrease range, just a little bit, if I had to I would have tried to avoid messing with impact force, recoil, and gyro. Vulcan would be weaker, but it would still be Vulcan.
  17. Not sure what the point of ratings are if no one even knows what the numbers mean. And even if I knew what the numbers meant, I'm in not interested in my own rating or anyone else's. It's just another useless thing on my screen.
  18. I have the same problem. Glad you brought this up. That bug is still here, it's been here for over a year now. But what lukey0 is talking about is new, in addition to the old bug. You gave a great account. The problem is not though, the old bug, nor that we are shooting over the target. Vulcan's fire is hitting the target, dealing damage, then no damge, then damage, without ever stopping and restarting firing. And the problem has only manifested fairly recently, not sure how long ago, so I would assume it has to do with one of the updates.

Changes to Striker and a cool new format

These sound like good changes to Striker, making it perform better but not really affecting the need to use it skillfully. Well done. Can't wait to try it.

Changes to Striker and a cool new format

I agree, I usually use Striker with Wasp. And Wasp was better before they screwed with it. And I've never said to myself gee I wish my Shaft would zoom in farther, it already zooms in too much sometimes. I consider increased zoom a nerf.
  21. The average damage of a Striker missile is the same as Thunder's average damage.
  22. Minor bug with Striker perhaps... any time I have another tank on top of me, like right on my face, and I fire a rocket, you hear it, I believe you hear the fire and impact because it sounds like a whip when they are that close together (sounds awesome), but no damage is dealt, you don't see any numbers on the screen, nor do you receive self-damage from splash. This seems to happen every time without exception.
  23. This is awesome Hazel-Rah, thank you.
  24. I was thinking the same thing for a long time, it would be really cool. But it's so different from Striker it could be a whole new turret. There's room for both.
  25. Striker is cool. I give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. But there is one thing really annoying about it, hopefully it can be changed... When you are locking onto a target, say a Shaft, and you get knocked by someone's fire, and your laser falls upon a noob Smoky, you swing back to the Shaft, it's been under a second, but because the laser saw the Smoky it forgot about the Shaft and you have to start your lock-on from scratch. When you are in a crowded battlefield, this happens alot. What makes it really bad is it's not something you'll ever overcome with experience. Doesn't matter how skilled you get with Striker, you're always going to have this problem. How about keeping the lock-on stored in the gun's memory for the full second even if other targets get in your line of site momentarily. If you get knocked and your laser hits the Smoky, it can start locking onto the Smoky, but still remember the Shaft in case you really wanted to go back to it before the second is up. I think this would be a significant improvement to the gun, eliminating the main source of frustration.
