I joined 7 battles. Three from the beginning, three already in progress and joined the winning teams. In all six battles, I ended up on the losing teams. The last battle, # 7, I joined the losing team thinking that if I joined the winning team, they will lose but maybe joining the losing team we will win. Wrong!! The losing team lost. Like the saying goes, "I couldn't win for losing." I figured it was time to pack up and go home.

My hair color. I already have grey hair in my beautiful jet black coiffure (hereditary...My Dad was completely grey at the ripe old age of 30!) My Mom says if I decide to dye my hair, I'd have to buy the dye myself and keep it up.

It says in the description it unlocked at Recruit.

Surprisingly, I found that if you play DM on the New Years map and you come out on the top 3, you get credit for your top 3 mission. I've done that twice.

A few years back, there was an update that caused several players to lose accounts. I lost two. I went through all the steps to get them back. Problem: I had made purchases nearly 2 years prior. One of the questions was, "Have you ever made a purchase?" They wanted a screenshot of my receipts. I didn't have them. After about 6 months of them being in my email, I deleted them. I never figured there would be a problem. I told them I didn't have the receipts any more. They asked me to send them the month, date and year of all purchases. I emailed them back telling them I knew the approximate month (like August or September) and the year, but not the exact date. After all it had been nearly 2 years. They emailed me back and, in essence, said.....Sorry we can't help you without all the information requested. I could answer all the other questions, but that one. I never got my accounts back.

Why don't things you do in Pro Battles count towards your Missions?
Artificial-Intel replied to Okami in Archive
Because you can't do missions in Pro Battles any more. -
Tanki is a game. I have no direction. It's no more important than a game of checkers or a match 3 game. Even if I managed to make it to Legend, what would I have to show for all my efforts? It doesn't make me a better person, doesn't put money in my wallet, doesn't prepare me for my future. Tanki is virtual reality. Real life is more important and that's what I'm working on. This is reality.

My dog chased a squirrel up the fence. The squirrel sat there, chattering and wagging his tail. My dog was barking and tried to jump up the fence, but the squirrel was out of reach. Then the squirrel started running back and forth the entire length of the fence and my dog on the ground chasing him and barking. It was so funny, I couldn't stop laughing.

My Mom thought I was going to college in the Fall, since I already had the college picked out and knew what I wanted to major in. But because I was an introvert (mind you, I said 'was') I lacked a lot of social skills and was dreading college. Nearly my entire Senior Year of High School, she kept after me to pick out a college. She made it sound as if it was an obligation I had to fill since both parents graduated from college and my sibling was already in college. My Dad sensed I was hesitant and uneasy with the decision. Without my Mom's knowledge, he started encouraging me to join the military. He suggested that I could either take some college courses while in the military to get a head start or I could wait until I got out. He told me that his parents pushed him into college when he didn't feel as though he was ready and had a hard time adjusting. However, ultimately, the decision was mine to make. One day, that Summer, my Mom sent me into the city to run some errands. One of the places I had to go took me past the Recruiting Station. I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least talk to a Recruiter. So, I pack all my fears into my back pocket and went in. I talked to the Recruiters of all the different branches. I made my decision.....I signed the papers. I knew my Dad would be okay with it, but I didn't know how my Mom would take it. Facing my Mom was harder than facing the Recruiters. At supper that night, I made the announcement. Surprisingly, my Mom said that it was probably the best decision I had ever made. She was right. I'm out of the military, now and it was the best decision I ever made. I learned to be an extrovert and found a new direction to work towards as a lifelong career.

valid Make CP "balloon" transparent when nearby

You're right. I use Shaft on one of my other accounts. That CP "balloon" is like trying to look through a brick wall. -
I downloaded a game from the internet. When I tried to play it for the first time, a window popped up that says: "If you are using Windows 10 and you have issues running this game, choose "Windowed Mode" instead." I've never run into this before. Why would I have an issue running Windows 10? What does 'Windowed Mode' mean?

I re-read the mission requirements. It says top 3 of the winning team. I didn't get credit because we didn't win.

That's not what I read. I interpreted you as saying that your health bar is always full even when you get killed. Now you're saying you can't see your health bar. Which is it?

Raggedy old tee shirt Raggedy old jeans Raggedy old socks Raggedy old shoes Raggedy old underwear As a Christmas present to myself, I bought a Raggedy old hat at the Raggedy old thrift store for Raggedy old people. That's my good clothes, all very well blessed by the Pope. ;) :)

When you have a mission for placing in the top three, there has to be more than 3 on the team? We had a 1/2 team and I was in 3rd place. Our team started quitting. At the end of the battle I was in 2nd place, but I didn't get credit for it. Is that because our team quit?

Oh, you want a noobish member of your tank crew sticking its head out of the hatch during battle. Brilliant!!! It deserves getting its head blown off.

Some in depth information about sleepless nights: You have two sections of the mind going at the same time...the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Conscious mind: This is the part of the brain that is active during the hours you are awake. I don't think I need to go into any great detail with that. Basically, it's your survival mode. It works in the foreground. Subconscious mind: This is the part of the mind where problem solving takes place. For example: There's a certain word you're trying to think of or a person's name that won't come to you, or perhaps the name of a song. After a few moments, you give up trying to remember that word, name or song. But hours later, it suddenly pops into your head. That's your subconscious mind at work. While your conscious mind has gone on to bigger, and more important things, your subconscious mind had been digging through all those files you have stashed away. When it finds the answer, it tells your conscious mind and that's when suddenly you remember. It works in the background. When you begin to fall asleep, the Conscious mind goes into sleep mode. It's been working all day long and needs to relax, regroup and build up its energy for the tasks of the following day...keeping you alive, to survive. When the Conscious mind goes into sleep mode, your Subconscious mind becomes more active. It's now working in the foreground. This is where your dreams come from. Sometimes, it incorporates your problems into your dreams...it's still problem solving. When people say that the solution to a problem came to them in a dream, they are right. It happens that way. So, now, let's say (just for the sake of argument) you are having some very serious financial problems. Many adults have sleepless nights because of finances, of course there are loads of other problems that can cause a sleepless night. Your Conscious mind tells you that there are other things that need attention, right now. So, the financial problem is put on the back burner, sort to speak. Actually, the Conscious mind has sent this financial problem to the Subconscious mind to work on. That's its job, after all. You're exhausted and need to get some sleep. You go to bed, try to relax and .....BAM.....guess what pops into your head? Finances. So, in essence, your subconscious mind tells you conscious mind, "Hey!! Wake up. You sent me this problem to work on and I don't have a solution. We need to work on this together." Hence, the sleepless night. There are ways to control these sleepless nights. It's all about learning to turn the Subconscious mind "off." Of course you can't do this, but essentially, it's all about training the brain to function the way its suppose to and telling your subconscious mind to leave the conscious mind alone. The training begins in that area some refer to as the "Twilight Zone." This is the short period of time between wakefulness and falling asleep. Your conscious mind is cuddling down under the covers, getting all nice a cozy. Your subconscious mind is sitting on the side of the bed stretching and yawning. Neither is fully active, but they are aware of each other. This is the point at which you need to keep your mind void of any conscious activity or thought. An empty void. There's several methods that can be learned to accomplish this empty void. Too numerous to list here. A few are: Self-Hypnosis, mantras, non-stimulating visions, mentally going to a "secret hiding place" that no ones else knows about where you feel safe and secure. These are only a few of many. I speak from experience. I had a bad case of insomnia that was affecting my physical and mental health, not to mention my social life. It took me a couple years and many sessions to learn not only the above mentioned methods of falling asleep, but I learned several other ways. Sometimes one doesn't work, so you have to have a plan B, C, D to fall back on. I'm not saying this is how long it takes everyone. I had an extreme case so it took longer and I needed to learn more than a couple methods. The hardest part was keeping the Twilight Zone void of conscious activity. It's almost like tapping into another part of the brain that's responsible for the void. From here, it gets much more complicated and I'm not a Doctor, a Psychologist, nor a Psychiatrist. I'm only sharing what I, personally, have gone through. Basically, it's all about telling your Subconscious to go back into its little closet of filing cabinets where it belongs, do what's it's suppose to do and leave the Conscious mind alone. The mouse is my dog. She's a bed hog.

When you said, "Quick chat wheel", I knew what you were talking about, but I thought you were going to suggest using the wheel on the mouse to activate the chat menu....click the wheel and scroll through the chat choices. By default, the shift key activates OD. In the settings, this function would have to be reassigned to a different key. If you hit it too many times consecutively, a window pops up asking if you want to activate the sticky keys. I can see, when in battle, you want to select a chat option, but immediately, something else happens. Say, you want to say something about the flag and just as you press the shift key, the enemy enters the base. You release the shift key and accidently activate your OD. Since I use z x c and the arrow keys for control of the tank, I have found that assigning various other functions to w a s d was more convenient. I think using the mouse for chat would be easier. But then, there are those who use the mouse for their turret. For me, I've reassigned OD to the S key, so using shift would be no problem. But those who use w a s d for tank functions might see reassigning the shift key more of a problem. Other than these observations, I think a quick chat is a good idea.

Artificial-Intel replied to Artificial-Intel in Make CP "balloon" transparent when nearby Ideas and Suggestions
If I"m changing the color of the CP and I'm too close in front or behind it, I'm blind. All I can see is the CP "balloon". Why can't this be transparent like the flag? -
Anonymity, please. That includes my avatar. There's already your rank, nickname, health bar, modules (if you press v or r). Now you want to muddy things up more by adding a head? Go into battle and imagine 19 heads (you can't see your own, I hope) floating around. Oh, I can see it now. I wonder how many Kanye West and Jay Z would there be? How many Nicki Minaj and Tila Tequila would there be? How many Troll Heads? Then there would be those who want to advertise their own mug shot. Yuck!! Nope, thumbs down on this one.

I've never used voice chat...Skype, TS, Discord. Battles are dominated by the Russians. Would you have to listen to the Russians talking, too? Could you somehow just connect with certain languages and the rest filtered out?

Drugger battling non drugger
Artificial-Intel replied to Artificial-Intel in Drugger battling non drugger Archive
You're in battle and have supplies or OD activated. You come across an opponent who doesn't have any drugs or OD activated, how does that make you feel? What are you you thinking in your head or saying to your monitor? Perhaps: Easy kill Noobs must die Muahaha gotcha Your Gluteus Maximus is mine Do you have that feeling of superiority? Does it give you an emotional high, even though short lived? Do you feel neutral about it or don't care one way or another? Come clean. How does it make you feel? Personally, I get a slight adrenaline rush. I know there's players who can obliterate me even if I have drugs activated and they don't. While others can put a big hurt on me even though I have OD activated and they don't. -
Whats your miserable moment in tanki online?
Artificial-Intel replied to Raakin-The-Great in Archive
When the opposing team are all using supplies and OD in between. The team I'm on, none are using supplies and half or more are running around with a white star above their head. If a teammate is engaged in a 1 v 1 and losing, does that teammate activate OD? No If one is engaged in a 1 v 1 and a teammate next to him has an OD, does he help his teammate by activating it? No Both dies, respawns, rinse and repeat. The Gold Box siren sounds. All players activate OD. After the Gold Box is caught, what are the chances of another dropping? Very slim, unless a player drops one. So, why don't players use their OD after the Gold Box has dropped? Beats me. I just figure the losing team is there for the XP and not for the object of the battle nor the crystals they may earn as a winning team. They are happy with their "0" score. I'm there to get some crystals under my belt, not to be spawn killed by a drugging team. No reason to stay. I say to my monitor "Bye, losers. You deserve to lose. Hope you're happy with your 50 crystals." When there wasn't a language barrier, I said that in team chat. -
I get frustrated, too, for a lot of the same reasons you stated. Frustration = Stress. I don't take stress well. Besides, frustration, stress, worry and all their kit and kin gives you nothing but gray hair and ulcers. Tanki is no longer my "go-to" game, but I come on for an hour (or less) at some point during the day or evening. My first stop is the Forum. I'll read, make a few comments, then see if I can find a battle. If not, I log off. If I do, I'll play it and maybe see if I can find another, or continue with the one I started with. In short, a game is not worth negative emotion. RE: Gray hair and ulcers. Come in occasionally, play a battle or two. When you feel the frustration coming on, log off. No one says you have to play for hours upon hours. That's for those who don't have a life, anyway. If you are willing to quit, that shows you have a life outside of Tanki. That's good and healthy. I don't know if you're a buyer or not, I didn't check your profile. If you are a buyer, playing occasionally makes your supplies last longer. If you buy/earn crystals for MU's or saving for a full upgrade, that's ok, too. Nothing is going to happen in your account while you're gone. You just pick up where you left off. So what if it takes you a year to rank up. If you are a buyer, you can log on once or twice a month (however your income is set up), buy your crystals, play at least one battle to stay active then log off. If you don't play on a regular basis, then you're not tempted to use your crystals. However, if you find playing one or two battles every two weeks still too frustrating, then maybe you should say good-bye to the Tanki Community. There's no shame in that. If you do decide to quit permanently, then I say....Goodbye and good luck in all your real life adventures and endeavors.
