    What is your wisdom?

Sometimes just a simple act of kindness can be a lifesaver for someone else. If that person asks, "How can I ever pay you back?" I say, "No need to pay me back... pay it forward. That's enough payment for me."

End of The World Theory — September 2017

It seems to be a toss up between Planet X and North Korea. Either way, I'm doomed and can do nothing to prevent either one. I'm not the driver, only the passenger. All I can do is go along for the ride and hope for the best.

What is a noob and what is a pro.

I understand what you are saying, but sometimes the hull turns faster than the turret. When under attack, which would you turn....a fast hull or a slow turret? On my other account, I use Vulcan. In close skirmishes the Vulcan can be very slow against Wasp and Hornet. So I turn my turret to about a 45 degree angle to my hull and maneuver the hull. Am I a noob for trying to turn a slow turret, knowing that it can't keep up with some hulls? Or am I a noob for turning the a much faster hull knowing I have a much better chance for survival?

If You Were Admin-- Tanki Online

In battle chat players say, "Admin drop gold." Guess they don't realize they are wasting their time and the time of their team mates by typing that. It falls on "deaf ears."

What is a noob and what is a pro.

Pro: 1...Player who joins a team battle and helps the team achieve the objective of the battle mode. AKA: Team Player. 2...Knows the capabilities of their chosen turret and hull. 3...Knows what the "V" key is for and uses that for strategy and as an advantage. Noob: 1...Player who joins a team battle but plays only for self gain and has no concern for other team mates and/or the battle objective. 2...Knows very little about strategy. 3...Doesn't know the capabilities of the chosen turret and hull. IE: Player using Twins tries to destroy opposition who is out of range of turret and doesn't understand why the tank isn't being destroyed. 4...Tries to take on an entire team alone.

Advanced Strategy Guide - Polygon CP (custom, no-supply)

You could almost do two guides. One for the winning team on how to keep the other team from dominating the pit and the other for the losing team on how to dominate the pit. Because pit domination is what that map mode is all about. I've been on the losing team and once we dominated the pit, the game changed dramatically. Players on the winning team started leaving, even though they were still in the lead.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

Vulcan is terrible at long range. Sure you can get some damage, but not much. If you're going for the kill at long range, you need a lot of RK so you don't burn up first. Damage is much better at medium and short range. On one of my other accounts, I use Vulcan/Dictator or Viking, depending on the map. At close range, I set the rotation at an angle to my tank (about 45 degrees) and start circling. You have to be fairly good at maneuvering your tank around forward, backward and evasive moves in order to do this. I rarely use it for long range, unless it's to discourage someone from coming out in the open to attack a team member. As for vertical angles, you do need to be at least medium range. On another account, I use Shaft/Dictator or Viking. If I'm being attacked long range by Vulcan, I have plenty of time to zero in on him for a good shot. If I don't kill him, then an arcade shot will, usually, finish him off.

    Tanki: Dying... dying... dead?

I had a similar problem, but there wasn't any gold falling. I had the 10th flag and I was being "hailed" by Russians. I hid behind a building, thinking they wanted me to hang on to the flag for more battle fund. But my team found me and started pushing me. So, I figured, ok they want me to cap. When I got to our flag to cap, I was blocked and other players were pushing me away. So, I have absolutely no idea what they wanted me to do. With all the pushing towards the flag and away from the flag and lack of communications, the battle timed out before I could cap. Maybe that's what they wanted to begin with, I don't know Since Dev's think that lack of communications is good gameplay and adds good team strategy, then who am I to argue. I only play the game, I doubt if they do. Okay, I'm about to get on my soap box, again, so I'll stop. It doesn't do any good anyway. Dev's don't read this section.

Problem with spawn killing - how can it be prevented?

How do you propose to do that? You don't have a choice of where you're going to respawn. The game mechanics have to be changed to do that.

Guess I don't understand the scoring

So, this is true, then. How messed up is this? Puts a whole new meaning to this game and why there are so many druggers. If you can one shot a tank, you get all the points. If you damage, but you know you can finish him off, then go on to the next enemy, in hopes that someone else kills him within the next 10 seconds. If not, then that volley is done and starts over. I'm sitting here thinking about all the time and effort I have wasted trying to kill the enemy and I get nothing, zilch, nada for my efforts because he used RK and I have nothing. This is absolutely mind boggling.
  14. Artificial-Intel

Guess I don't understand the scoring

Then what's the purpose of the fairly new feature of knowing how much damage is done to each tank you shoot? If I do 1000 damage and the enemy I hit uses a RK, kills me, then he gets the kill point and I get nothing. So, let's say, at the end of a battle a player has 15 kills and 0 deaths, then no one has gotten any points off that tank. He has received damage, but since no one has killed him because he's using RK and/or an Isida is constantly healing him, then no points are awarded to anyone for that tank and nothing is calculated towards the battle fund and no one gets any credit for doing damage.

How many different TO combos do you think are out there?

Why do you want to include paint? They are only cosmetic and don't affect game play at all.

Closing sections doesnt do anything. Stop it.

Sorry, I was only quoting what I have read in the lobby chat and have heard in reality. I will refrain from making such quotes in the future. Instead, I will paraphrase. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa. I don't not use that kind of language in game forums nor in real life. Maybe I should have said, I have read in lobby chat and in real life players saying...I ain't going to read all that stuff, because that stuff is not good stuff to read. Which is no longer a quote and doesn't get the real feeling and point across concerning the player's frame of mind.

Calculated Stat - Experience per Hour (XP/hr)

What you have is an average. Not all battles will earn the same amount of XP/Hr. and not all battle modes earn the same amount of XP. If you enter a TDM with only half teams or less, you won't earn as much XP as you would if there were full teams the entire battle. If you end up on a team that is getting spawn killed, you won't get as much XP. Not all battles are created equal and not all results are static.

Guess I don't understand the scoring

I never knew that. Does that mean that if I do a fair amount of damage and die before I get that last shot in, the one I was having the skirmish with gets the kill point and I get nothing? Or if two of us are battling the same tank, say a fully upgraded Mammoth, and both of us are killed, but not the Mammoth, do we get any damage points? Unfortunately, there's only 5 seconds to compare stats between battles and all that info doesn't always sink in. So, no I can't give you that information. As battles are being fought, sometimes players leave and spots are filled. I don't keep up with all that during a battle. Although I was present throughout the battles, I don't know who left and who came in late. I'm more cognizant of how active I am in a battle and don't understand why sometimes I'm very active throughout the battle (grabbing the flag, making captures, killing the enemy, getting CP points, doing damage) and get low crystals, but other times I'm not so active (guarding the flag, doing escort service, sniping from the base) and get a larger amount of crystals.

New players go to the EULA and Rules, see those two walls of text and say ..., I ain't readin' all that." Then go directly to the tutorial. When they get banned for a violation, they wonder why. Some Kids are brought up to obey the rules of life, school, etc. But they come to a game site and don't think those rules still apply. Some have the idea that rules apply to everyone else but them. Unfortunately, this train of thought is carried on into adulthood. As long as people feel as though they can get away with it, they will break the rules. It's a challenge, a game, a dare, trodding into the unknown to see how far they can go. There are a few players who boast how many times they have been banned. They just make up another account and try it again.

Guess I don't understand the scoring

I'm sorry, I didn't notice. I was so amazed at my reward, I was checking and double checking to make sure I wasn't mistaken. I was mesmerized by the results and didn't check the other stats. However, check out my previous post about the next battle where I played a supportive role instead of an active one. In the battle in the original post, that's not all I did. I helped with kills, too. I did a fair amount of damage. That counts for nothing either?

Guess I don't understand the scoring

I don't know. I was so surprised at the results, I sat here staring at the amount of crystals I earned with disbelief and was booted out of the next battle because I didn't hit the "continue" button. Compare the next battle to the one stated previously: CTF Brest. This time, I took more of a support role. I escorted teammates in, let them grab the flag while I acted as interceptor to give my teammate time to make a get away. I also escorted teammate flag bearers back to the base. Again, I blocked enemy tanks so my teammate could have some extra time to get closer to our base. I didn't kill many, only 5, and I died a lot. I grabbed the flag once, but was sniped before I could make it out of the building. I made 146 crystals for doing much less. Regardless of XP, how is doing less by playing a supportive role and getting killed, a lot better than being an active player and putting forth a lot more for the team? Logically, it doesn't make sense. How is XP and crystal amount figured in together? In other words, how is X number of XP = Y number of crystals? Is there someplace I can go to read up on that?
  22. Artificial-Intel

    EU servers

Okay, now I'm totally ticked off. I just played CTF on Brest. Three players each team. There was a drugging enemy Mammoth/Shaft sitting on the second level, one shotting us as we came in with the flag. All we could do is grab it, but couldn't capture because of the Sniper. I tried to combat him, but my Hornet/Twins was no match for him. I tried to warn my teammates, but, of course, no one knew what I was talking about. Why? Because we all spoke different languages. Soon the whole team (all 3 of us) knew about the enemy Sniper and no one seemed to care, but me. But fact remains, I was the first one killed by him. I tried to warn my teammates, but it was useless. Now, come on TO Dev's, how is the lack of communications between teammates even beginning to be fair?? We are suppose to be teams, not individuals playing on teams. There's no strategy anymore. We used boost each other's moral, strategize. If a teammate tipped over while carrying the flag, he could call for help. Not any more. Let's put this in another perspective. Supposing no one in the office spoke the same language? How would anything get done? How would plans be made? How would there be any continuity? How would this game even get off the ground? Everyone would be doing what they thought was right, everyone doing their own thing. Come on, now. We have to put up with your updates, but this one did not consider the pros and cons, nor was this for the betterment of the game nor the players. Who is this benefitting? Well, let's see. The two main servers were Russian and English. There were more Russian servers than English servers. So, the logical thing to do was to close down all the servers and reopen them with all countries mixed in together with the Russian players being dominate. And there is your answer: This update was to benefit the Russian players. Thanks, Russia. You're all heart (NOT)!!!

Guess I don't understand the scoring

I just finished playing CTF on Brest....2 battles. The first one I came in late, so I understand why I scored low. But the second time, I grabbed the flag 3 times and died twice. The third time, I made it back to the base and our flag was gone. I set the flag down to hide it and one of my teammates grabbed it and eventually made the capture. I killed 3 flag bearers and returned the flag twice. The other time, one of my teammates returned it. I killed a total of 8 enemy tanks by myself. Our team won by a landslide. All I got was 58 crystals? I can get that much if my team lost. Is that all my efforts were worth? Full teams and I was third from the bottom. Person above me made about 150 crystals and all he did was snipe. He didn't kill any flag bearers, nor did he leave the base. What gives?

Problem with spawn killing - how can it be prevented?

That's good for the winning team, I'm talking about the losing team that's getting spawn killed. Sure the battle will eventually time out if there's not enough players on one team. But meanwhile, why stick around for that? What's 1 or 2 players against 6 players going to accomplish? Like I said, they are doing nothing more than helping the other team. They have already won, you have already lost. What's the point of staying?
