What's sad is that the incline prop (cave_rise.3ds) doesn't line up with the other props, as well as the grass texture being different :c

Yeah, I just found my flash drive with all my random map-making files... turns out I had the library folder titled "TestLibrary". How convenient. Thanks though :3

Download some of the libraries from here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=165096&hl= Then use 3D modeling software (I'm using Unity because I wasn't sure how to do certain things in 3ds Max) and piece the map together using the models and textures given to you. A map is saved as a *.xml file, not a .3ds file, so you can't use a completed map. You must form your own map with what's given. Also, download Tank Viewer (https://yadi.sk/d/9JuoeDx2bSvTa) If you want the models, detail maps, and paints for the turrets/hulls.

What people don't understand is with the current system, maps cannot be interactive.. Suggesting things such as this is useless and will most likely be dismissed.

Nope. It was simply a test map for new props, it will never be re-implemented as some of the props used no longer exist. You're not alone though, I wish I could've experienced that map's gameplay.

Do you not understand how many technological limitations there are when using flash player and even Unity? Things like these could tremendously slow the game down. I'm surprised at how well it runs right now. I would not like the current performance to be lessened at all. Please think before suggesting things such as this.

Dynamic graphics such as the cracks in the ground are coming in Tanki X, but there will be no dynamic/interactive props :{

No, hence the name "Ideas for Maps!", this is a topic where you post your ideas for maps that should be added or that you think would be nice even if not worthy of being in the game. It's not a topic to criticize the developers. Also, they would probably have gotten more criticism if they hadn't added that statue to the skybox. Now can we please just end this useless argument before the mods get angry?

Please just chill, it was not put into the game for religious reasons, it was only done to make the map feel more familiar. Also....

That's not for religious purposes, that's a landmark in Rio. You pretty much can't have a Rio map without having that there. It's too bad that it's only part of the skybox. :unsure: That would be an awesome prop. Also, Rio was made to celebrate the Brazilian community.

Not a bad idea, but wrong topic. This does not involve map making as much as it does reworking the code and creating a new game mode. This should be in the suggestions topic :)

I'm bad at mapmaking for one reason: I always (unintentionally) go for looks instead of functionality. The only map where I didn't do this was on the map I entered for the map making contest, thankfully.

Tanki X doesn't really have props yet, they're just making models and piecing them together and saving the maps as large models. There is no mdk for TX yet, but lets hope they make one :P
