valid Extended respawn option in battle settings
Contradiction replied to MandolinMarc in Ideas and Suggestions
For anyone thinking that it will turn the battle into some kind of camping/waiting game, I would suggest watching some old star ladder streams. It enhances gameplay rather than diminishing it, and actually makes the battle more dynamic. You see, it does not make respawns significantly longer, it only increases them by about ten seconds. And, after all, it is an optional feature. So, if you really don't want to play with this mode, you don't have to. -
I'm not exactly homeschooled, but I do interact with many homeschoolers. And, depending on your definition, one could consider me a homeschooler. I go to a private school that has in-school classes once a week, and I am also part of an early-college high school program that allows me to take courses in a nearby community college. By the time I graduate from High School I’ll have an associate’s degree along with a high school diploma, which will be soon. Because I don’t go to a regular high school, it gives me the opportunity to manage my time more efficiently. A good number of people at my school were homeschooled which is why I have some relations with homeschoolers. Interestingly, I was originally from a country where homeschooling was not legal and everyone was obligated to go to a public school. This provokes an interesting thought. Should homeschooling be legal? I know that many people consider homeschoolers to be "insanely smart" but others consider them to be "spoiled brats". I have known both of these options to be the case, sometimes simultaneously. It also appears as if there is a surprisingly high ratio of tankers who were/are homeschooled, perhaps disproportionate to the actual percentage of homeschooled/publicly schooled students. I can conclude that homeschoolers tend to play this game more than non-homeschoolers, and probably have more spare time in general. Is this good or bad? (I mean no disrespect toward homeschoolers. Some of my closest friends are homeschooled and I myself could technically be considered one as well.)

Well, here is a question. Running Tanki Online using Standalone Flash Player: Here it gives the download link to standalone flash player. The link is thus: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/15/flashplayer_15_sa.exe This is, I believe, Standalone Flash Player version 15. Mouse controls and changes to Auto-aim Mechanism: Here Semyon stated that one should upgrade his standalone flash player to version seventeen, and proceeded to post a download link. (http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/17/flashplayer_17_sa_debug.exe) If I am correct, the download link for the Wiki page is outdated and should be replaced with the newer one, but I actually am not sure if it is unintentional. Is this simply outdated information, or is the Wiki's download link correct?

what should happen to people who make you say bad things back to them
Contradiction replied to badhaaris in Archive
Here is the answer: Also, when you created your account, you checked a box that said that you agreed to follow the Game Rules. Once you have broken that agreement, the administration has the right to ban or block your account. If someone is swearing or trolling you in chat, feel free to take a screenshot and report them in the Chat Violations section. Arguing or insulting them back will accomplish absolutely nothing other than the banning of your account. Just ignore things, after all, its just a game. Nothing anyone says to you can affect your life in any way. -
Awesome! I still remember those good old days... when Isida came out, I thought it was a claw that would smash tanks ( I was too low ranked to play with any Isidas at the time). When they changed it, I thought it was like a double barreled Railgun (I was still too low ranking to even see an Isida in battle). When I finally was in a battle with one, I was pretty disappointed that it was a close range weapon... then I learned it could heal itself whenever it wanted. Unfortunately that was removed as well :c. The main thing I miss is the Blue M3 Firebird. This was my only M3 other than Smoky during that period of the game, and I particularly was proud of it. The blue flames were what really stood out, and I don't really see why they were removed with the graphics update. Also, Freeze was simply excellent back then. Very interesting Vlog, I was also impressed at how similar the map in the demo still is to Tribute, and how similar the old Kungur still is to Kungur now. If anyone is still interested in the old tanki, this channel has some pretty high quality videos from back then.

For a game, Tanki is actually fairly original. Also, Vulcan is presumably named after a real life machine gun - the M61 Vulcan - rather than being stolen from another game, if that makes you feel any better. Furthermore, Ricochet was originally called Vulcan when it was first introduced somewhere between 2008 - 2011 ( I forgot the exact date ). The game Planetside 2 didn't even launch until late 2012. Perhaps Planetside copied from Tanki, eh? Premium Accounts exist in nearly all games, so it isn't exactly a "theft" that Tanki has them as well. As for your last paragraph, you may have some fair points, but it was written in a confusing/contradictory way that made it difficult to understand.

That moment when you are about to make the most amazing shot with Railgun in Parma, when a pop up blocks the screen, saying "Battery Power is running low - Please plug in your PC". That moment when you are battling while in a skype call with your friend, and then, in the background, you hear their mom come and tell them to do a chore... That moment when you are writing a long PM in the forum, and decide to backspace a word. Instead, it takes you several pages backwards and deletes everything you had written.

Gold Hunting is a tricky sport. I doubt that Ti-To managed to catch 195 goldoxes in one day without help from his friends. Most likely he was in a private wasp fire game with a couple friends, who gave him every goldbox that dropped. @S.C.Y.T.H.E wrote a pretty decent guide on how to successfully gold hunt. It is found here: Explained: Goldhunting. I would suggest taking a look at it. You can also ask questions like these at Advice from experienced players. I highly recommend watching Tanki youtube channels, particularly goldbox montage videos, as well. Watching tanki youtube videos significantly improved my Gold-taking skills. I actually don't think it is possible to take the Goldbox 100% of the time. It would simply be impossible, as some maps are so large you can't possibly find all the drop zones. Even if you could, so much of taking golds comes down to luck. The general strategies are to try to jump from the Goldbox from above, or try to climb on top of tanks using your impact force and ramps. If you can't do any of these, try to get directly underneath the Goldbox as it drops, but be careful of dying. Timing is crucial. Dictator is the best hull since it is the tallest hull. It will take Goldboxes before other hulls, giving it a huge advantage in terms of taking Gold Boxes. But, as this section is for ideas and suggestions alone, I believe it would be best for you to ask this question elsewhere.

This would destroy XP-BP. If this idea were implemented, both hornets and wasps will be one shot rather than two. And it will be less skillful because it will be easier to aim with a wider beam. Personally, Railgun is not that weak. It is my most used turret and I actually prefer it to other turrets in nearly all maps. The reason Railgun is so underrated is because half of the player base spends its time in Noise and Polygon, two maps that are very unsuitable for Railgun. And, even if Railgun were a little under powered, your update would go way to far. It would make Railgun one shot nearly every hull. I can't see how this would be balanced, and who would use shaft anymore? I do agree that Railgun is one of the most tricky turrets for newbies to master. Railgun is a tricky turret to operate in general. But I don't think that there should be any significant changes made just because it is difficult for a recruit to learn to use Railgun.

Just a few very small things that I have noticed: StarLadder- There is a spelling error on this page. " The elite team of producers is staffed by mangers, production specialists, broadcasters, and commentators. Its main headquarters are located near Kiev, Ukraine." I believe that you guys meant to write managers but missed the a. Learning how to shoot accurately- This might not be worthy of an edit, but this page states a few things that could be considered a little bit out of date. "Twins and Ricochet have the biggest firing angle," Vulcan now exceeds Twins's autoaim angle, so this might be worth updating. Also, it states, "Isida is the best choice when it comes to close combat on different heights." This isn't really true anymore. With an update to Isida's autoaim this year, it is basically the same as Firebird and Freeze but with extended range.

There are dozens if not hundreds of supposed "hacking" websites out there. However, even if hacking is possible, 99.9% of these websites are complete scams- existing only to steal your account or personal information, and even install viruses. It is best to stay as far away from these websites as possible. It may seem as if there are multiple ways to hack crystals with "Crystal generators" just by completing surveys, but I can guarantee that these sites are not going to give you crystals. Instead, they will steal your password. Tanki can't actually shut down these websites unless they get into a legal fight with the owners. They do not own the internet or these scamming websites so it would be impossible for the game owners to personally shut down these websites, and even if they could there would constantly be more websites popping into existence. If you ever come across a scamming/hacking website, it is best to contact a forum moderator. Forum moderators can block links to scamming websites in the forum. Hacking might be possible, but I have never seen nor heard of a case of crystal hacking. Even if it is theoretically possible, I believe that the server would soon detect fraud and block the violator. There are a few other hacks, mainly exploiting the game's physics and reload mechanisms, but with recent updates to the anti cheat mechanism it is very difficult to successfully hack. The developers are aware of these issues and obviously strive to fix them.

OK, after some research, I believe that this is how it went: harjeev -> I3o55 -> @Mr.I3oSS 1 Lewis545 -> I3o5s -> @Sr.I3oSS 2 ShadowTemplar -> l3o55 -> 3 1. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=186100&p=4798185 2. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=186100&p=4798185 3. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=171431&p=4830557 Already added ^_^ -
The tutorial map only exists in the tutorial- it does not actually exist in the game. The tutorial map was make solely to showcase the aspects of Tanki and teach newbies the basics of gameplay. If you would like to play the tutorial, one can do so here: http://tankionline.com/en/start/. If you have questions, please ask them in the official questions and answers website: http://help.tankionline.com.

Nickname Changes, Alt Accounts, & Clan Tag / Name Changes
Contradiction replied to Nolo in Game Discussion
Bump. I don't want this topic to go the archives. I have been updating the list quite extensively, but I do have a few questions. I forget which Boss is which. [@Mr.I3oSS, @Sr.I3oSS and ]. I know that lewis545 is one of them, but I don't know any of the others' original nicknames or which ones they correspond to. -
Hmm, wiki editor applications might be opened soon? I'm intrigued.... Anyways, I just have a few nit-picky suggestions. Finding the right battle to join - It was stated in the first sentence that the game has 50 servers. This is outdated information, the game currently has 35 servers. In depth: WIki Editors - Whatever Rem had said is no longer visible, instead it says "Text Here". Perhaps this was purposeful, but it does seem a little odd. Reporters - In the candidates section of this article, @Night-Sisters's name is said to be Night-Sisters667. Also, there are a few other reporter candidates (Arabic candidates I presume), namely: , @iAbdulaziz, and @TariQ99. I could be wrong, I don't know the inner workings of the Newspaper. How to join a clan - This is just a personal suggestions. Recently the 'Join a clan!' topic was started. To me, it seems like there should be a mention of this topic in the article.

Please keep discussion about games other than Tanki in in the already existing topic Other Games. This is the only topic where discussing other games is allowed. Topic was merged :$

Currently, you can purchase crystals using Subway, CVS pharmacy, Burger King, Dollar General, Shell, Circle K and oBucks gift cards. In the future please ask questions at the official help site: http://help.tankionline.com.

If you believe you have been banned unfairly for a game violation, please send a PM directly to the game violator @Yele. Bans are not to be publicly discussed on the forum.

This is a well known glitch that occurs to everyone. It is not specific to Smoky alone. The best thing one can do is to only fire directly after you jump; if you fire multiple times or when you are halfway through your jump, you will nearly always self destruct. The reason this occurs is due to a false-positive in the anti cheat system. The developers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it. In the future, please report problems in the designated section: Problems and Solutions.

Hmm, it's been a painfully long wait. I wouldn't say that this is the most interesting of issues, but some quite decent articles were put out. I was pleasantly surprised by TNT's Shortcut guide, which was interesting and also original. I'm also looking forward to the articles of @Night-Sisters. Congrats on your acceptance, by the way. I do plan on applying for Reporter- I have a few articles written, but due to various complications I am not quite ready to submit an application.

Further Edit: "Also, from 01:00 to 04:00 UTC authorization will be impossible in the Tanki Online forum. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused." This was information was stated in the Technical Maintenance is Planned alert.

It was purposely removed from the home screen of the game. Read more about it here: Server Load screen has been removed! As for Hazel's explanation, here it is: "Little interesting thing about that graph — it shows all users playing on all server clusters. This means we also include China and Brasil. This is how you can witness the graph showing players in the game while servers are restarting. This is misleading for "tanki is dying" warriors, but more important it is misleading for ordinary players. Picture yourself in Brasil having just a few servers but the graph showing tens of thousands! So, AFAIK, community management decided to break the link. I believe they will show only current cluster load. In this case total online will fall for a couple thousands of players... which will bring our "tanki-is-dying" warriors back into fight. I believe that is the reason why the graph is being removed — it brings no value, just a headache. Well... at least this is how I see it. There might be some different reasons." ~

What is the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?
Contradiction replied to rsully11 in Archive
1. Nothing is ever as simple as it appears. 2. The most valuable ability one can have is being able to push yourself to the limit. Hard work, self discipline, and perseverance are the keys to success. Also, perhaps this topic should be merged with the already existing topic Words of Wisdom.
