Nice Poll I voted 70% blowout. My votes were based on CTF battles as that is pretty much all i play apart from when i have to do missions. I think the problem appears worse now due to the limited number of battles available rather than a change in the battle structure. A lot of time people are now forced to play in maps that they do not like. This means that they are not going to want to stay on a map they don't like when they go behind. This means that as soon as a team gets 1 or 2 flags behind, the people that didn't really want to play there anyway will leave the losing team. This then means that obviously the opposition will now easily capture a few more flags which will cause more players to leave and hey presto - battle overrun. I very very rarely used to leave a battle because my team was losing unless it was an absolute slaughter. Now i will leave if i don't think my team will win. This is because Tanki is forcing me to play how they want me too rather than how i choose to do.

So today's report - hardly any CTF battles available to me and those that have spaces are where people have left because their side is losing so badly. This format DOES NOT WORK.

I realise this is not your fault Nives but you are our voice so you get to take the flak sorry. An unplayable game is NOT a bug it is a screw up. This update should not have been released in this bad shape it is amateurish at best and downright stupidity at worst. Tanki is on a massive downward spiral into self destruction and the reason that YOUR CUSTOMERS get so frustrated is because you do not seem to actually see this and keep trying to put band aids on the problems rather than confront them headon and fix them. Your players preferred the old tanki that was much more playable than this abomination you call a game. If you ever actually listened you would see this and rather than keep plowing on with your own narrow minded plan of te future of tanki you would take your players thoughts and suggestions into consideration and try and make a game they enjoyed playing. Today is the first time i willnot have completed a mission for many months and will quite likely spell the end of my tanki playing. Whilst i realise you get people threatening toleave all the time at some point you need to ask yourselves why - are they really just spoilt little kids who did not get what they wanted or do they actually have a point? I am 43 and way above your demographic but it also means I am capable of reasoned thought before throwing out w wild threat. Sort it out Tanki you got it WRONG!!! EDIT: Not sure why it quoted so many times sorry?

Cant even get into a battle now. Hardly any battles to choose from. Tanki your incompetence goes beyond words I am truly speechless at how badly one company can ruin a game and a user experience of said game. No doubt the mission chains will get broken now due to your incompetence adding just more reasons for people NOT to play. Just once admit you messed up - start afresh with a new approach and get this game back to being fun again

One thing to note is that the stats do not just cover the current M level of the turret. So if for instance you mentioned that you had come up through the ranks using Rico - your stats would affect the entire life of the turret in all M guises. This may mean that you were underpowered for some time using it and overpowered at other depending on your rank etc. This may skew the results slightly for certain turrets. Thanks

So I guess I join the majority when i express my dislike for this new MM system. Aside from the obvious ones about not knowing where i am going to be battling (equipment choice) and not being told when my missions are done until after the battle and the obvious waiting time inaccuracy and length the actual concept of the MM system does not seem to be working. Out of the half dozen or so battles i have done only 1 has been a good close game the rest all very one sided. I also still seem to be coming up against much higher ranks a lot of the time. In general I'm not sure this update actually solves or adds anything to the game - yes the battles are initially full until everyone sees the map and doesn't like it so leaves or starts losing and leaves. The only positive is that i can create a battle again without the pro pass but no one joins because they are trying to complete missions. All this will no doubt fall on deaf ears as have the rest of complaints about game updates that destroy the very nature of tanki. Tanki knows it is on to a loser and the only way to make money is to create a necessity for drugs but rather than try and fix this inherent problem they keep throwing more junk at us and herding us to where they want us to be. Poor show again guys - you truly do not understand the concept of customer support and respect.

Nice idea - A suggestion for the actual mechanics - 15 minute battle - no eliminations for the first 5 minutes then 1 elimination each minute for the person with the lowest score (there may be a need for some kind of tie break mechanism if people have the same number of kills). At the end of the battle the highest score wins. This will allow for some fund to build so that even the first person out gets something. The only issues i see are people leaving (they will then count as the next elimination and the fact that you will not be be able to allow people to join after the battle starts (should be no issue with the MM system).

It appears that they have made it unchecked by default - possibly a sneaky way to increase supply use? I have never created a battle with smart supplies off so I don't think it would be a preset setting. I notice now that a great deal of the pro battles are set this way suggesting it is a global change.
-
I have noticed today that smart supplies are defaulted to off when creating a battle - is this a new setting?

With the server unification I am now finding it very difficult to communicate in battles as the common language is normally Russian. Displaying the players country flag would allow me to possibly find battles with a larger number of UK players in. I realise that people often speak foreign languages also but if i see a battle with 90% Russian players there is a fair chance they will be communicating in Russian. I'm not a big talker in battles but it certainly benefits gameplay if i can communicate with my teamates. Thanks

Well there goes chat in battles. 95% of the time I'm in with Russians. Who possibly thought that merging communities in an international game needs sacking. Takes loads longer now to find a good pro battle unless i want to play poly CP or XP/BP or a one sided noise. Tanki just finding new and improved ways to ruin this game. -
On my ALT (redlinezak) I have used only 1 combo at each M level. So as soon as it was available i bought an M1 kit which was Hooligan i think. Then at M2 i bought Boar. Have done 1 MU on each and nothing more. Didn't use any supplies until around 3rd Lieu so I had lots saved up. Since then i have tried to use supplies sparingly (gets harder the higher you get) and continued with just that 1 combo. I do 1 mission a day just to keep the chain going. I play the battles i enjoy rather than specifically high earners so no doubt i could have improved my crystal count. I am currently Brigadier and have just under 650000 cry. As soon as i reach Lieutenant General i will get an M3 kit and just concentrate on getting it to M4 (not sure which kit yet as i want to try a different combo to the ones i have on this account).

HI Battle Mods I have a question. DO you think that the 5-15 minute requirement regarding recording time is fair and/or relevant for all cases. I realise that for Mults and sabotage it is probably necessary to record a certian amount of footage to prove that it was not just a 1 time event. But for Hacking / cheating etc do you really feel that 5 minutes is necsesary? Lets use the jump hack as a problem as it is the only one i have personally witnessed. So I enter a battle (i had a great example in noise) and see someone blatantly using the jump hack to collect flags etc etc. The enemy team is virtually powerless against it and subsequently lose. Now when i joined there was around 3 minutes left so I have no idea how long he had been there. My point is that if i record him using jump hacks (and it is obvious in the video) then why should I have to do this for 5 minutes and further ruin my teams chance by effectively multing whilst trying to watch this player cheating for 5 minutes? I have also see that these jump hackers may join a battle - hack for some time capping flags and hoping a gold drops and then leave before 5 minutes is up. This avoids people reporting it and the subsequent ban. Surely a 10 second clip of a blatant jump hack is enough for a permaban? Your thoughts please.

True but even then i don't see how this idea will make them money. Surely it will turn people away from playing as it is impossible to compete? I will certainly not be renewing my pro pass on any account now. I also will not be buying drugs now as even with them my M2 will not compete against M4 with drugs on both sides so just a waste of money.

The wider rank restriction in battle has made playing on my ALT at rank colonel totally un-enjoyable. Every non pro battle i find i am one of the lowest available ranks. I just cannot fathom how the devs can expect us to enjoy our time in battles when facing such superior equipment. I entered a Rio CTF battle yesterday against a Marshal (so potentially M3 against my M2 rico and Dic) but still i entered and the score was already 1-0 to them. I went 3-1 up and a legend joined the opoosing team with viking thunder. They immendiately capped and i was 1 on 1 with legend and doing ok then he drugged a DD and RK. I die and ask him if whether he thought that a legned and marshal with drugging was fair against me? HE then went and changed equipment to Dictator, Rico and 50% protection from me and then drugged like a mad thing and mined everywhere. I ended up losing 6-4. How can this ever be fun TO? I realise its just a game and all that but you are making it so hard to enjoy and even when we try and support you and stay here you make it worse. I honestly and truly cannot fathom how this was ever considered a good idea.

When i needed to complete 3 finish 1sts yesterday i went to EN8 and started a CTF battle. Within a few minutes it was full with high rankers just running round comlpeting mission. We all helped each other to do them and didnt take long. Is this really what Tanki wanted - people running round all over the place just completing missions without actually playing properly? I didnt defend a flag or collect pickups so that other could do so. Madness
-
The problem will not come only for people multing waiting for boxes to collect - You wioll now have people deliberately not defending a CP so they can capture the point again (potentially losing the battle ?) People holding onto flags etc so that they can finish 1st (sabotage) in the team. People sitting around waiting for boxes to collect. All this used to happen before but it was almost in secret as it was done via a pro pass to get a quick result. Now the issue will be everywhere and we can all go back to having to deal with luts and sabs again. So the choices are go pro where you could have a good battle of YOUR choosing but forget about your mission - or play in non pro and not enjoy it but maybe complete a mission or 2 if you are lucky. Rock on Tanki, grats n all that jazz

I would prefer this to be honest. The update (yet again) gives much bigger benefit to buyers. Buyers buy drugs - buyers enter non pro battles - buyers use bought drugs - win battles and complete missions easier - get more drugs as rewards. Non buyers don't have as many drugs - enter non pro battles - don't win - don't complete missions - don't get rewarded for trying. I know this is a bit of an extreme example but it is the way it will work. To me this update regards the daily missions is Tanki's way of admitting that the battle button has not worked so now they are forcing it to work. Many casual players will now have no need for pro pass or opportunity to play some of the more specific game modes that the pro pass offers because the limited time that they do have to play will be taken up trying to complete a few missions. I myself play maybe 1 hour each night which consisted of completing 1 mission and then choosing some games that i wanted to play in for the rest of my time. Now my 1 hour may well be spent trying to get a finish 1st in a map or format i don't like playing against legends with essentially unlimited drugs. I get the impression that Tanki are struggling financially and keep trying to put a band aid over the problem. They need to stop , take a step back and look at the game as a whole rather than throwing in poorly timed and executed updates in an effort to generate some revenue. I used to play 2 accounts but i will now abandon one and see how i get on with my other one for a while. Also i will not be buying pro pass which i fear will mean my game enjoyment will wane considerably.

My apologies for the 'essay'. I mistook you for someone that was capable of reasonable debate.

Hi Killer Some valid points there but i would like to suggest some counter's to them. I have no proof so I am guessing - i would think that the number of free players outnumbers the buyers by some way so I am not sure tanki would die if a change to the supplies structure was implemented - especially if it evened the odds some way. Secondly although i agree that a lot of the comments come from younger players - that is the majority of Tanki's customers. I myself am very much of the older generation of players and i too think there is a big issue with drugs. I am happy to win or lose in a good game but almost all the time in a drug enabled battle it is the team with the most / willingness to use drugs that wins regardless of skill. Drugs in themselves are a great addition to the gameplay it is purely the method of implementation that i have issue with. I fully agree that buyers should have advantages it is just that right now those are too great. The way the game is structured right now in my opinion is that if you dont wish to buy then you have a few choices: Play with 1 kit only and use your crystal earnings to buy drugs for a lot more than a buyer can get them for with real cash. This means you can compete in a battle but you will not have the funds to MU or buy stronger equipment to allow you compete with buyers who didn't have to spend all their CRY on drugs like you. This means that (if not immediately) at some point you will be faced with players who have the next level of equipment (say M3) but when you rank you will not have the crystals to buy it so cant compete again even with drugs (because you now face stronger equipment and drugs. Alternatively you don't buy drugs and use supplies wisely and save for new gear. This means you will not be as competitive in battles so will take longer to rank and earn crystals and your battle time may be more demoralizing / frustrating as you a re losing more heavily but at least you should be able to afford new equipment at the relevant rank up time. Even at M3 ranks or even Gissmo level as i am i find that i need huge amounts of drugs to compete well meaning i struggle to MU my equipment which again means i am not as competitive. The frustration when facing an opponent who you have outplayed and know you are more skillful than (even though they are M4) only to see them popping endless drugs and destroying you is huge especially in in DM mode. I would just like to see drugs be more skillful / tactical rather than just button mashing repeatedly. Also the Ego comment i think is totally irrelevant and in my opinion / experience i have found it to be vastly the other way around where extreme druggers / buyers etc regardless of whether they are skillful or not have by far the biggest Ego's when they destroy you in a confrontation. Thanks

I don't mean to repeat ideas that have come up before (well i guess i actually do) but the problem as i see it is not the length of time that supplies are active for or the cooldown time etc it is the immediate effect of supplies to win a confrontation or make off with a flag etc which currently can be relentless. The solution as i see it is to limit the amount of supplies used in a battle (say for arguments sake you can 10 supplies in a 15 minute battle. That instantly makes supplies a tactical choice and add another level to the gameplay. Maybe you could give buyers the option to increase the supply use by 50% for a fee or something? The big problem for Tanki is that this instantly limits a revenue stream. Even if the cost (both cash and cry) of drugs increased the fact that the use of drugs in a battle is limited will remove the revenue. I am sure there are ways around this revenue loss but this is i think the only way that drugs can be leveled to a degree. Imagine how fun a battle would be knowing that you only had that 1 DA and 1 RK left and you needed 1 more flag to win. When do you use it - when i ask ya :). Or imagine that you don't use your supplies immediately but try and fight off one attack from drugged opponents by just 1 of your team using their drugs then you can mount a counter to a team with less drugs etc. I think it would add a lot. As tanki are experimenting with different methods then maybe just a weekend with something like this might be worth a try and if it is liked then try to work out a business plan / case that makes it work?

Why is it a problem if Tanki wants our money?
Redlinezak_EN replied to Epic_Space_Mango18 in Archive
I think the problem is not necessarily the paying for things it is the unbalanced nature of buyers to ftp players. Also the updates that do come out of these funds are not the ones the players want. We still have bad lag , glitches, server errors, new things that are not as beneficial as fixing the inherent issues with the game. Maybe if the updates appeared to actually fix/ improve game play there might not be so much opposition to the small charges. Currently it really does seem that every update is just another means for them to get revenue. They need to balance this with updates for the free players more. Just my opinion. -
I'm sure i must have missed this somehow but how do i find Clans? Is there a way to search all clans or can i only search specifically by a certain name? When i open the clan search window it does not show any clans and the only option is to type at the bottom? Thanks

I don't play parkour much but i dont see any reason why this would not be classed as sabotage in the same manner as parkouring in a normal battle could be. In a normal battle if you are parkouring then you are not helping your team so sabotage. In a parkour battle if you are killing purposely then you are not helping so sabotage?
