does anyone know how to get the server load stats (saw some posted earlier in this thread

I think i bought 2 1000 drug kits in my playing time. I also think thet amount of drugs i used would be fairly average but i understand that at your rank it appears huge. When you get to the higher ranks it will definatley increase for you. Once i got to gissmo level the drug use was so extreme i have now stopped playing on it. When facing a gissmo (now legend mainly) with full MU's and extreme drugging it's vitrually impossibe not to drug and be competitive. I then decided not to buy drugs and just concntrate on Muing as much as i could. The legend update helped as i could filter out the legend ranks in my battle choice but now i cannot do this so i have just given up and am concentrating on my alt. I have found drug use has increased drasticaally in the non pro battles sinc this update which is pretty much the 1 positive with the pro pass. When we had the free pro pass for a week a created many non drug battles (usually drops enabled) but got very very little or no interest inthem so again gave up. As a gissmo i think the pro pass price has come down 150 cry. I didnt want itbefore so unlikey i would want it now for just a little less.

True but people dont seem to understand that getting in game currency is important to upgrade or buy new equipment. If we have to spemd thisin game currency on a pro pass now just to get back to where we were previsously then that is less money to spend on our game items. Thsi means that to progress at a significant rate i will be more likely to buy in game currency with real currency. It makes no odds as to how much i can earn back in a month after buying the pro pass - its still less than i would have earnt pre update. Possibly the most important aspects of this game is being able to choose the battle type, rank limit and MAP CHOICE. All those have been taken away now where previosuly they were available.

I have to disagree. From this thread it appears that the massive majority of players do not like this update. If we are speaking exclusively about the map diversity then i think relatively few people have expressed an opinion either way as they are more concerned with the general flaws in this new update. I'm not sure if this is a communication issue or what but players want communication from the devs (be this through the mods or whatever). All we get right now is silence or the mods opinion / interpretation which does noting to answer any of the question that have been raised. I realise you guys can only go on the limited info you get from the devs but the point is - that is not good enough. Despite this being a free to play game (in whatever capacity that may be) Tanki si in the business of making money. How can they possibly expect to do this successfully when they do not communicate with the customers? Im truly baffled by this how none of mine and many others concerned can just go unanswered or even acknowledged except by mods that express an opinion or tell us "devs aware but we have no idea what they are going to do or how they feel about this feedbaack". As a previous buyer but not any more i understand i have little right to get upset or complain as i can just stop playing and be no worse off. Not all people are in this lucky situation having invested significant amount of money in the - THEY DESERVE ANSWERS (and i will just listen also ;) ). Thisis on a par with BT as far as customer service goes lol

EN1 has been deathly quiet since this update. Yes yes yes i know i can go searching through the other servers, just statitng that before this update there was a good choice of battles in here.
-
So todays very brief playing session (30 minutes instead of 2 hours or so) Joined EN 1 and there were a total of 9 battles available (pro and non pro). En2 not much better. I think people are finally voting with their wallets / red X button as i have never ever seen a server that empty.

Sorry one other thing. I now find that i need to use drugs (I am currently paying on my ALT at Rank First Lieutenant) because I am having to face ranks much higher than i normally do due to not having the choice i used to. I used to generally create rooms where i was the third from highest rank available but the higher ranks i am facing now (normally at least one brigadier in battle) cause me to have to drug more to try and keep up. I was desparatley trying to be virtually drug free on my alt just to see how i could do but now that is not an option (especially if i need to finish 1st for a missaion as I am then also competing with druggers on my own team). In short i think this update will increase drug use and that is how it has appeared to me in the last 2 days.

When we had the free pro pass for the first week i created a few battle but therein lies yet another problem. There are now so many different options available (supplies , drugs, flag/kills/time limit etc) that people with pro passes are all creating / preferring very slight variation in the battle type. This means that even if you do buy the pro pass the battle are less likley to fill up due to people wanting that slightly different format to the one you have created. Prior to this the only real selection was length. This means (or will mean IMO) that there will be more battles with just a couple of players in as everyone will be creating their own preference with their own options. Result - even buying pro passes will not ensure good battle - just that you can be on your own in a map of your choosing rather in a busy map that you dont want to be in.

Well i tried it again today - sofar been lucky enough not to have a map mission. Even so ijust dont like the inability to choose the type of gameplay i like. I have no option of what other ranks i am facing , no control over the number of players in the battle and very little control overthe type of map. It truly is Pro pass or no fun. I'm not going to say im quitting however i would definately never spend real money on the gamenow and my playing time will no doubt be reduced drastically. My normal playing habits are complete my mission (s) and then play in some battles i enjoy for an hour or so (quite a few hours on the weekend. Today i completed 1 mission on both accounts and then quit. I feel this is how its going to be from now on. Tanki - you got this one wrong.

Apologies if i have missed some key information but from what i can remember reading the primary aim for thie battle button was to make it easier for new players to get straight into a battle? If that is the case then leave the battle button there for ease of entry but also leave the create battle option there for everyone else?? It seems a remarkably obvious solution to both the initial problem and the current backlash?

I may be peesimistic / suspicious as are many players these days but i cant help but feel that however we now choose the play the game Tanki will deem it a success. If we dont buy a pro pass and repeatedly click thebattle button trying to find (or have tanki generate) a battle we like to some degree then Tanki will say the battle button is proving popular and has had X amount of clicks in just the last 7 days. If we cant stand the battle button and reluctantly buy a pro pass then tanki will state that since the 'update' pro passes are more popular than ever and the selection of pro battle is now more varied hence a success. The only way this could be deemed a failure is for people to not buy pro and not click the almost mandatory battle button Well played tanki , well played ;)

But when there are such limited non pro battles available it becomes more of a loss. The creating battles option is just 1 thing that is missing - losing access to thethe wide variety of battles is even harder to swallow. I think if you were a non pro player you might understand the pain a little :)
-
Point taken thanks for explaining. I do wonder however if you would feel the same if you were a non pro user?
-
Can you elaborate on why you think this? Do you also have a pro pass? Thanks

Nice response thanks Beaku So I am online now and currently the situation is as follows. I wish to play in an EN server - that is my preference. As a non pro player: EN1 - 8 battles of which 3 are full EN2 - 8 battles of which 2 are full EN3 - 2 battles EN4 - 0 battles. In total in the top 4 servers i have 13 battles to choose from - none of which are my preferred maps. Of those 13 , 3 are CP which i do not enjoy - so now down to 10. Also even including the pro battle the number of available battles are much much less than previously. Of the 10 left i have a choice of 8 maps as 2 are duplicated so effectively 8 choices. I'm just not sure how this can be called a success. You mention that the changes are going well according to the Devs hopes - can you share exactly what those hopes are ? Is it more people buying Pro passes, less battles active, more income (revenue be it CRY or Cash money? I honestly do not think it can be called a success in the general scale of things as people are not enjoying it. Personally I have dislike pretty much all the recent updates but at least i have been able to give myself some chance of entering battles i enjoy so minimizing my pain if you will but now even that is taken away from me so if i want to play a certain type of battle that just doesn't happen to be active i have no option other than to quit. It truly has ruined my playing experience and i do not want to buy pro pass as (however small it may be ) this takes valuable funds away from allowing me to buy new equipment or MU it to be competitive with other players my rank (or at least kind of competitive). What motivation is there for me to spend funds (either real or crystal on new equipment when i know that it is going to be UP for a long time as i cannot afford to upgrade it and earning CRY is now even harder and less enjoyable? Thanks

See this response (sorry Beaku this is not directly at you personally just an example) that causes such bad feeling in the community. Tanki have released an update that obviously is overwhelmingly disliked by the player (customers). Instead of acknowledging the fact that maybe it has not gone as intended or the fact that it is not liked you (acting as a representative of Tanki) continue to try and defend / support/ excuse it. It would be more appreciated and respected if Tanki or their representatives (you) came on here and said - OK sorry we made a mistake , we get you don't like it, here is what we were trying to achieve. Is there a way we can still achieve this whilst appeasing the customers?? Of course the feedback will be diverse and need some careful sifting through but at least it would not feel like it currently does - here's what we give you, tough if you don't like it? Currently due how badly tanki have managed the gameplay recently it may well be very negative but this blinded support and justification for an update that noone likes does nothing to build a community or inspire trust in the Devs. Once again this is not directly solely at you.

So the free pro pass is over and as expected this absolutely suc ks. I managed to complete my 1 mission for the day (no way im wasting the time trying to do 3 a day now) then tried to find a battle i liked. Got put into a silence CTF and there was a jump hacker ruining it for everyone so voted him out but of course no response from any kind of moderation so left after 10 minutes. Joind a serpuhov and got fatal error - rejoined. Joined a fort knox and got fatal error - got p'd off and shut down. Think i will go back to the browser as coding an app seems a little above the tanki skillset. Tanki seriously have a good look at yourself you are ruining this game.

No not what I'm saying at all - in fact i didn't mention the sales at all in any post ever. Of course players are not going to complain about sales - why would they? This thread is about the new battle creation system and my comment was illustrating the point that when i did have cause to use the battle button i was not able to find a suitable map for me. I furthered that discussion to illustrate that Tanki seem to have a knack of twisting players requests into money generating ideas - you think sales (although nice and appreciated) are not aimed at generating income from players buying CRY to take advantage of the sales?

This along with the potential mission issue is where i see the lack of thought in this feature. If i only have a combo that suits long range maps yet i keep getting taken to sandbox , island, polygon , arena etc etc i am in trouble. Personally on this account and my alt i only have 1 real combo due to trying to MU them or saving for an M3 etc. Having to now buy different combos for different map types that i am forced to play on makes upgrading without buying even harder and will leave me with a lot of UP equipment.

So yesterday for some reason my pro pass was expired ( i ended up fixing the issue by changing servers) but before i did that i tried using the battle button. In EN1 there was only 1 non pro battle (i think it was highways CTF). My mission was in sandbox. No matter how many times i clicked the button it would keep taking me to that same battle - never did it create a new battle. Now i also have never seen a mission that involves Highway so the point about the battle button favoring popular mission maps seems to be not entirely true. I hate to say it but this does certainly feel like the end. It also feels that Tanki always find a way to twist the feedback from this forum into a way for them to make more money and create a thinly veiled argument that it was what WE asked for - a lot of players on here complain at the drug epidemic and are told if you don't like drugs buy a pro pass, the counter to that argument was that there are hardly any pro battle unless you want parkour or XP/BP. What do Tanki do? - change the entire battle creation mechanism to ensure that there are now more pro battles by removing the ability to choose your preferred battle mode from non pro players and say that this will help the drugging problem which is what WE asked for? Tanki at some point you have to try and appease your members - you cannot keep herding them into a corner and expect to stay and remain happy.

Leave your feedback about the new Downloadable Client
Redlinezak_EN replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
If i try and log out of the client (by pressing the small red X at the top right) to switch profiles i get the confirmation message to (do you want to exit) i click yes but nothing happens. The only way to log out is to close the client and reopen? IS this correct? -
I tried it last night for the first time and had to click 5 times as every time it took me back to the same battle that i didnt want to play so thats 5 clicks just for one player to enter one battle. Those numbers mean nothing and might possibly point at the failure of this update?
-
I realise that there are ways round it but the point is that it is not going to be easy. Maybe i don't want to change the mission because the reward is good, maybe i have always changed once to get a more appealing reward?
-
That would fix (or partly fix) the mission issue. My only comment then would be that if i did not want to complete my mission at that time i would not be able to unselect this. ie if my mission was XP in Rio but i didn't feel like playing Rio i would only have the option of joining an existing battle. Clicking a new battle button would keep taking me to Rio.

The point is that even if a legend earns 170 every day for a month they would only break even. To actually progress in game it would need to be double that for example. Whilst im sure this is possible at all ranks (3100 cry at my alts ranks to break even) it basically means that are progression rate is reduced even further. This becomes even more of a problem when you account for the fact that XP earning are not reduced in tandem with the CRY reduction. So now we will rank at the same rate for less return on CRY meaning the game will become even harder at higher ranks because we will have less CRY than we even had before. Again this lends it self to necessitating people to spend money on CRY to be even remotely competitive but even more so than previously. Coupled with the other recent updates (paint separation , rebalance etc, Tanki just given the big middle finger to all players who do not spend money on their game. If you cant afford or don't want to buy then you are just here to be cannon fodder for those who do and make up the numbers.
