Cool changes coming with tomorrow’s server restart
Lethal_Injection replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
No, no, no. You are over thinking this. Everything you are hoping for is, alas, not true. As for the reason for the removal of the product kits from our garages? The explanation can be boiled down to one word: MONEY. In my honest opinion, the removal of product kits is quite ridiculous. They have been a key part of non-buyers' saving strategies and financial planning for years, now. Now they only can be accessed by the vast minority of players who buy regularly. Bring back our kits! -
One word: Money. It sucks though, I was planning on getting Rock Climber kit at Marshal, now I can only get it if I can buy...

Leave your feedback about the new Downloadable Client
Lethal_Injection replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
When I tried installing the client, my Norton antivirus software kept saying something like, "this file is not safe. It has been removed." And just like that, the downloaded file is gone. I tried it multiple times on different computers at my house running the same antivirus, but it keeps deleting it, saying that something in the file is fishy. What's up with this? -
That is one long sentence...

OK thanks, my entry will be coming soon :D

[Issue 56] [Contest] The Pyramid of Tanki

Mults be like: "I think i'll give this pile a little nudge..." -
Also does it matter what type of gold box take it was? I've caught quite a few in STGs, and those wouldn't exactly be considered a normal gold scenario.

Nice! I've caught a decent number of goldboxes for my rank. Do you want us to include a screenshot or something so you know we are telling the truth?

Guide [Issue 56] The Mid Ranker's Handbook: Product Kits
Lethal_Injection replied to Zenyth in Newspaper Archive
Great article. I must say I bought many product kits on this account to further my progress and prowess on the battlefield. My personal favorite of the three M2 kits I bought (Mosquito, Atlas, and Boar) is Atlas. It makes a formidable defender in many maps, and the impact force on smoky is amazing. Perfect for deflecting the aim of enemy railgunners. I would also make a note that titan M2 is superior to Mammoth M2 in almost every way, having higher speed, much more pushing power, and only 3 HP weaker in armor. It makes a great gold hunting hull in maps like Noise and Poly, as you can brute-force your way into a gold pile. I wish I could enter the contest though, one rank too high :/ -

Some additional points for Save the Gold events
Lethal_Injection replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
To me, the way the game rules are worded, it still seems kind of vague. How are battle mods supposed to tell the difference between an innocent save the gold and power leveling when the attackers don't accumulate any score? Can someone clarify this so I don't get in trouble for just wanting to have fun in a mini-game with friends? -
Honestly, thunder is really weak. I say smoky any day. My M3 thunder (10/50) has been a huge disappointment for me so far. M2 smoky can hold its own against m3 thunder any day. The damage tables must also be wrong. Withing maximum damage range, my thunder should be able to two shot stock m3 hornet with no thunder protections. However, this never seems to be the case. They should either buff thunder or fix the damage tables so at least they don't mislead players like me into making poor purchases. M3 seems to have the strength you'd think a M2.5 turret would have.

Guys I don't get it. According to the damage tables given in the wiki and in game, my M3 thunder (10/50) should be able to 2 shot stock m3 hornets within the max damage range (90 * 2 = 180 (duh) 180 > 166). However, I find that I am never able to do this. http://en.tankiwiki.com/Thunder http://en.tankiwiki.com/Hornet Am I missing something???

This combo is pretty OP at my rank, because m2 smoky is so strong. -

Great article. Wasp/Smoky is definitely one of my favorite combos, at the M2 level anyways. -
Guide [Issue 54] The Mid Ranker's Handbook: Gameplay
Lethal_Injection replied to GoldRock in Newspaper Archive
OK, here's my entry for the mini-contest: How would you describe mid-ranked gameplay? Mid-ranked gameplay is for the most part unbalanced. At the M0/early warrant officer ranks, buyers are almost non existent, as at that point most potential buyers are still learning the ropes of the game and considering whether it is worth buying in Tanki. At the high ranks, practically everyone has M3s and M4s, in addition to a plethora of supplies, so gameplay is fairly balanced. In the middle ranks, however, equipment disparities that are the result of crystal mismanagement by some tankers are magnified by buyers who collect M2s like souvenirs and even some M3s from kits. Often times, the results of a battle can be boiled down to simply, which team has more kit wielding players? How did you approach the gameplay of the mid-ranks to try and be a successful player? In the middle ranks, perhaps the most important aspect of successful gameplay is not mastery of a particular turret or combination, but the mastery of the game’s economy. For me, proper management of crystals was my key to developing a balanced garage comprised of superior equipment. Players should pick one or perhaps two M1 combinations to stick with and play those, never micro-upgrading and slowly saving of crystals for M2 kits. Micro-upgrading is the trap that many M1 players fall into, a crystal sinkhole that is hard to dig out of. At the m1 ranks, you rank up fairly often, the M2s being just around the corner. Despite micro-upgraded M1s having a significant advantage compared to stock M1s, it costs an exorbitant amount of crystals to micro-upgrade any piece of equipment significantly. Having done so, a player will begin to regret his/her decision, Playing with the same combination for multiple ranks can become tedious, boring, and make the game rather uninteresting, but the rewards far outweigh those factors. In those few ranks, by completing your missions and selecting the right battles, you should be able to save up at least 100,000 crystals, giving you a good jumping-off point when you start to look at M2 kits in the early lieutenant ranks. How did you approach the gameplay of the mid-ranks to try and be a successful player? Don’t drug unless if it’s what I like to call “retaliatory drugging,” save your crystals, and for the last time… TURN THAT TURRET! -

Kinda sad, but in the warrant officer ranks, and even sometimes in the lieutenant ranks, the most important piece of advice? Turn that gosh darn turret of yours, noob! -

A well written and detailed article about the game's mechanics and features. Great job! However, I honestly don't see a point in switching from Tanki Online and re-ranking just for "better" graphics (in my opinion, Tanki's graphics are just fine), considering I've accomplished so much on this account. I'm sure many of you will agree with this point, as it was also brought up by Contradiction in his video.

Actually though, when's the last time you failed to see someone because of their "camouflage" paint? :P

Oh my gosh, I actually won? Wow. Congrats to all the other winners as well!
