Like to know why "campers"' like Titan Magnum sit around your base creating a "pocket"for the other team to drive into. I thought this was a team effort.. A rail with one Isa just drove in over and over, in massacre If you are going to camp behind walls because you don't want to get killed, ugh. It's a tank game, tanks die, or at least some do trying to win the game. The world isn't going to fall apart if you K/D ratio takes a bit of a hit, ":camping"' ON our base.

Same, I am getting the re enter game notice almost every time I complete a game, If, I get to complete a game. A lot of times I have started a game, and got the "re enter'' notice almost immediately. I can complete my life too "normally"' sometimes other than I can't shoot everyone, so I drive around while everyone shoots at me, when I respawn, I too am a ghost on the screen locked into position and not being able to move.. Twice I even got booted because I supposedly committed a "foul" while I drove around not being able to fire (when it gave me the re enter notification), and everyone getting a free shot at me. What's foul is, driving around like some kind of wiggly worm on a hook, and everyone going woohoo, kill the noob that doesn't know how to shoot, and then getting booted because I must have what? Pulled down my pants and mooned someone? This is seriously annoying.

Got to team with a viking freeze in CP last battle, really mobile, must say it was fun,In between ripping up the spawn area, I would inadvertently run through the "cooling'' breeze while we tore it up. And would hit my mech drone for him/her. Nice to help be on the dishing end of one. It was nasty actually watching it work. lol. Ouch. That thing is a killer.

silovik or siloviki derived from -- sila-- or force, strength A person or persons of the power ministries of the former Soviet Union, usually security based or military, a lot of these persons are "appointees" to high level cabinet positions, former security apparatus members, like Sergei Ivanov former KGB to the Minister of Defense or Defense Minister.

Why not? Shouldn't the 2nd slowest hull in TO with a close range turret dominate or do well in a battle like Highways? Pfft, Shaft who needs them? Lol.

I get the "inactivity" bump to lobby. "an error occurred" "ok" prompts After that I get to log in all over again At times when I die, I come back to battle screen, but my tank is invisible and won't move, I watch teammates drive by me. Once I even O/D'ed a teammate when they drove by, but I was still a ghost, not moving. In battle, when I spool up my vulcan, it freezes screen, let off and I can drive, spool up vulcan, freezes screen, let off and I can drive, so basically I can drive around until I get killed. This game is almost unplayable.

Eh I"m just going to amend my thoughts on Freeze. Got in a team death match tonight, was in 0/D, with a freeze module on, had about 2/5 of my health left, a Freeze sprayed me from like had to be 10-12 tanklengths away, It was like 2 snowflakes hit me and INSTANT drain. It was like you pulled the plug on your house and the lights went out. Or you were hit with some kind of super hydrochloric acid mixed with radiation. It's ******ed. That fast. I can at least battle a Titan Rico and lose, after 6-9 seconds at least. The rico will have to at least bounce 4 or 5 off my noggin , not 'frost' me from distance with a couple fluffy ones. You want to have Freeze that powerfull, like Isa was, then nerf the immobilize thing....... Get real. I bet Freeze sales are flying out the door.
-
I'm not getting "murdered" so to speak by the freezes, yeah one of them the other night was another hornet with O/D on and knew how to drive. But it was no doubt OP, wiping out titans etc in seconds, made it a point to use my turret's actual strength, it's range, and that freeze didn't get me again. Made it pay. I deliberately went after it, and it would beeline for me even tho I was ripping it from range. If it was a Viking/Hunter freeze tho with decent speed and almost 2x armour, that thing would have been stupid. Almost ridiculous. TO seriously has to curb that thing, when it vaults above one shot killers and basically makes tankers obsessed with it, that means there is a problem. Even in the battle chat last night from other tankers the predominant theme was "you''re dead freeze" Even Magnum doesn't get that much attention as far as I go. I'm used to using my hull and turret tho in the not so conventional way, depending on agility and constantly moving, a range turret in close but can still be used for ......range. It's advantage over other ranges is that it doesn't have to reload. But I don't want to have to chase and range freeze all day. Never did with any other turret. I would say MU that hull before you get too hyped on those turrets as a word of advice if you want. And get yourself some freeze mod. I usually equip freeze, isa and twins modules. The other heavy hitters like Shaft, Rail, and Magnum I just don't bother with, I try to use the speed of Hunter on O/D or just SB to counter them. But then again I just really don't care about glory stats, and my K/D ratio is pretty bad. But you will like the speed/armour combo of your Hunter when it's getting there. If I am going to counter the freezes and looking at your two turrets, I probably would go with the thunder before smoky. I know that the thunder/hammers give me lots of headaches even at decent range even though my hull is fully MU'd. I know smoky has crit damage, but I have been wiped out more by thunder than it. I just have the Smoky M3 because I started out with it and have almost finished it's MU. It's good for tighter battles, sandbox, wave, it's impact force is cool, and I use it for DM etc, but when I'm on highways etc with it, it's a peashooter at range. The hull overdrives I think are just dumb, but will see.
-
I just saw a Freeze wipe out not only me, but 2 titans with damage protec on in like the span of 5 seconds. He wasn't even close to the Titans. One of the kills was less than a second. 3 kills in 5 seconds. We won but seriously, I went hunting that thing, no other turret mattered. He/she was DD tho.
-
Yep, that would work, do a stealth speed approach (well as stealthy as you can be with that flag flying over your flag bearer's head) with the flag bearer and kind of get in there quick and hit the O/D. Hit the trigger to spool up just before O/D. Or just not even be with the flag bearer and try to time their advance on the base by coming in the back door. We'll see how it goes. I might enjoy being the Hull that deflates everyone. Surely they will nerf it tho. Just send out a Wave of M4 Hunters with Magnum, Rail, Shaft, Hammer Twins etc oh yeah and ISA and FREEZE.......
-
That works too, nothing more satisfying that working with a teammate that works a strategy. If I have an Isida with me going for the flag simple things come into play, leave the drops for them (common sense) once at the flag start strafing and get as many as agitated as you can, keep moving and hopefully the Isida grabs the flag and gets out of town, then just try to figure out who is the biggest threat to him/her, plant your tank like a roadblock and hope they get away. It;s sort of the opposite of letting Isida heal you all the way back to base, but really a lot of players will realize you have to take out the Isa first then get the flag bearer. Too many time you watch the flag disappear because it's constantly being healed. I just turn my tank into cannonfodder/ roadblock once I am there. And for some reason Vulcan gets them all worked up. Probably because of the pretty visible tracers. Or will just try to cover the Isa on the way back and hope it heals me driving backwards while I am a moving bufferzone firing in reverse. Why my K/D ratio really blows tho lol. I like to see other teammates do the same for team (like your strategy). It's capture the flag, a lot of people play it like DM. BTW I am going to start upgrading my Titan. I like the weight for Wave, in pro battles with the zero gravity mode thing. My smokey and Hunter work decent there too.
-
Guess I should be happy to drive Hunter, but seriously to make the most of it, I have to insert myself into "problem" areas instead of just freewheeling and doing what I like to do. Or become a lure. Lol, I'm going to be a target when they come in, maybe more so than Isida. Just saying not a fan of this stuff. Regular overdrive benefited all equally. Yep, I encountered it last night. So I wasn't hallucinating. See my above post about hornet freeze. Freeze just moved up my list to #2 behind Isida. I hope that was a fully MU'd M3 Freeze because if it wasn't last night, ('just' an M2 like yours) it's over the top. It didn't even have DD on. Seriously. I was dead in 3 seconds. If I see one, I'm going to lock in on it even if it means some rail is about to vapourize me.
-
Then once Hunter activates it's overdrive (my O/D), somebody else activates theirs to undo what Hunter did. At least when it was straight O/D everyone was on a level field. These hull overdrives are channeling battles to have certain hulls in battles to be able to "cover the spread" and win. This is like a dog chasing it's tail, it's inane, pointless, and ******ed, press this button he pressed that button, think we got it covered, nope, that guy pressed that hull overdrive, keep pressing stuff hopefully we have the right combo of tanks to negate their overdrives. It's going to be the drone train factor multiplied by a moron factor of 6. (hull overdrives) Do I want to run around like a naked rabbit trying to draw people in close enough to me to activate my overdrive like waving a treat biscuit in front of a bunch of dogs? Hardly. I want to shoot you before you shoot me. Hopefully you perish.
-
Yep that has to be nerfed too. The only drawback for it is it's immobile turret. But if you can adapt to using the tank itself to align your target, when you have a decently quick/armoured hull, you can camp and splat or get up close and splat. If they made it a turret that ONLY a heavy hull could fire like Mammoth or Titan it would be tolerable. It is obviously a heavy weapon. Something like a Humvee or Coyote armoured vehicle probably wouldn't be able to fire a flak88 or equivalent at least on the horizontal. There should be some drawback to it's power and using it. or just plain nerf it. . Vulcan was gutted even tho it destroys itself in combat unless you chill out. It (magnum) is even more annoying than Shaft behind cover, or rail I agree.
-
I love it, more than once have caught a mammoth coming down a ramp and have enough power to make it do a wheelstand too. It has enough ramming power to knock people off bridges, or knock aim offline, and the speed/armour to get there. I agree with the wasp, to tell you the truth, if I have speed boost on, and am doing a reverse strafing or broadside on a wasp, like freeze fire coming at me or going by, i'm not losing a lot in the speed race. Wasp for being such an unstable low armoured platform SHOULD have even more speed. As long as I can see one coming I usually do ok against it. But now with the Freeze buff maybe not. Went up against a hornet freeze tonight, and it blew me up at twice the range of normal at least that's what it looked like, even tho I had DA and freeze module on. I saw him coming not like he surprised me, off the bridge above me, reversed with DA and SB on, and had my gun rotating before he even hit the ground, and was pulling away from him before he started spraying and still wrecked me even tho my gun never left my target. I went really? cmon, wasn't even close to him. It was like a 3 second kill for him, maybe 4 he wasn't even advancing towards me...and i have the 3rd best armoured hull in the game, I am fully MU'd M3, he has just little over half of mine and my Vulcan is almost max MU'd. Tell me freeze isn't over powered. He didn't even have DD on. I'm looking forward to the day when they give back some to my Vulcan. I've done enough driving with my Hunter that if they ever decide to buff it a bit I"m going to be very happy. I would try out Hunter. It rounds the corners pretty good and fires on the fly decently well over jumps too even with rail. Guess it's "hull overdrive" is or will be to negate enemy's effects. But seriously I'm not a fan of this stuff, like the one that if you touch another tank with it's hull overdrive on, you die. That blows when you have grabbed the flag in assault, or ball in rugby, done the dance to avoid everyone targetting you and just need that last millimeter to nudge the tank camped on your target to move just that much.
-
I tandem'd with another Hunter Vulcan once, it's like we both knew what we were going to do, one flush, the other pummel it when it came out of cover. then the other one laid in. Never did "invite" to be friend once battle was over and didn't get the name. It was a lot of fun, especially since I'm almost fully MU'd Vulcan. along with a fully MU'd Hunter. Wasp freeze won't be able to counter 2 mobile Vulcans covering each other. Or even other freeze. Just have to keep distance, easy enough on the bigger maps. But having a wing man is fun. And the mobility is what made it fun. What isn't fun right now is that every and I mean every battle I'm in ends with "reenter game" an error occurred. Seriously.
-
MU that Hunter and get on your horse. Keep your head on a swivel and fire on the fly. I like speed boost more than any other supply. My K/D really blows but it's because I'm always trying to charge and disrupt, drawing fire, and of course self destructing. Stuff like that annoying rail that just keeps rounding the building and buggers off. Getting one shot by a "ghost" gets me going. I'll run that one down until it's gonzo lol. Or other Vulcans that "camp" with an Isida. I'm going in the back door, and first to go is Isa, then if the other Vulcan doesn't realize it, it's too late. But you will like Vulcan more I think if you are more mobile.
-
nice. My favourite memory of Tanki was early on when I was a rail user. I MU'd the impact force more so than the damage etc. Rio was my favourite battle, where you had the alleys/line of sight, eventually a wasp would go streaking through your sights, time it right and catch it broadside and the wasp wasn't going anywhere but hitting self destruct because you can't drive on your roof. :P It was classic fun.
-
I'm a Vulcan user. I know alllll about it. You send off tracers giving the enemy a direct line of fire to you Overheat even before firing Score 0 on some runs, have to spool down and then ramp up again Kill yourself when you do start fighting I do like the fact tho that if I get you on the run, you probably are not getting out of my fire. I love the Hunter for this. I can usually keep a Hornet (I love chasing rails lol, like a dog after the mailman) and up in my sights, not so much Wasp. I know the woes of a vulcan player all too well. It's why it's getting mobile and trying to disrupt more than engage in 1 vs 1. I still like Vulcan, some wouldn't just because the "stats" aren't pretty at times. I know I've "cooked" myself to death for at least 30- 40% of losses. Even with an alteration, you are not stopping it, and I'm not about to cut my damage even more just so I can "meltdown a bit slower." What's the point other than to be a mosquito buzzing around another tanker's head like an annoyance? Other alts, make guns like hammer and fire utterly nasty. Vulcan's benevolently lets you die slower. seriously thanks a lot. Give me one that will shred a Mammoth Shaft in 3 seconds and I've only got 5 seconds to firing time and 5 times the spooldown or near 100% overheating, I'll take it gladly. By the time you roll your rear end back behind the wall.... Dare poke your head out of one of those bulkheads in Highways one more time........lol. I know I've been one shotted enough times by them.
-
Lol, soon the drone chains will be able to play with themselves. There won't be anyone left in Tanki other than those who have the drone chain equipment maxed out...Lol Isida trains were child's play.
-
I went trying to hunt Freeze a couple times last night, but can't get past that "an error occurred" "please reenter the game" that keeps popping up. Been that way ever since the MM/drone update. So annoying. I don't know if Freeze IS OP yet. My list of targets usually is 1.Isida (just because they keep the attack continuuing) 2.Magnum because it is OP and a range/up close turret. Shaft if I can get close enough to flank it but usually not And will now be probably 3.Freeze because once in your grill with Isida its game over.,Twins, Hammer. in that order if Freeze is OP.
-
Shaft "was" able to one shot non MU'd medium hulls? I have Hunter M3 fully MU'd, and with damage protec on get one shotted by a lot of Shafts in highways. Consistently. Yep I know put the "module" in. I guess you mean the non snipe non laser target mode... But TO just goes after the Isida train for Freeze and Fire...... By that measure there should be a whole lot of nerfing going on....
-
I know. I could pour lead into it with Vulcan, and not even make a dent, without Magnum, Rail, and Shaft unloading too, had to "cut off one Isida's beam" by getting in between it. And it usually worked with a little help from your friends. If you want to make one turret's damage not repairable, and I don't want to say it, then cut out Isida's ability to heal that turret they won't camp out with Freeze/Fire to form another "train" then. (Isida getting chopped down more) but this is getting too weird for something that you could defeat before (well at least with a decently MU'd medium/heavy hull, mostly medium tho because you had to be mobile enough to get into the train and enough armour to get there) All it did was hurt your K/D ratio. Nothing stopped Firebird or Freeze from doing the same thing. You were guaranteed to not leave the train still breathing tho, maybe that was the problem, didn't like the dying thing. And it was TO's own justification for this buff, nerf, whatever you want to call it. All because of one tactic that freeze/fire were getting supposedly chewed up at. Seriously I have a 911 number for the wahmbulance if it was to cater to one close combat small group having a tough time with one tactic. But it seems more like to promote another buyer's market. I get chewed up in Noise, Polygon, etc with my turret at times by Freeze/Fire, at times even more so by Fire, because I'm already HEATING UP, and self destructing, but I'm not going to complain. A wasp or hornet freeze tanker that knows what they are doing has made a fool out of me lots too without this buff. If you don't like it, either change up the gear or move to another battle.
-
( but I bet the Freeze train is fine, for freeze players, a Freeze Isida (or Firebird) train now cometh, you can't have your own Isida heal you if you try to intercept, slow it down, or you have to send out your own Freeze/Firebird Isida train to counter it with damage that can't be healed lol ?:/wut? oh yeah thats right, fire becomes a sort of damage control for Freeze damage and Freeze becomes sort of damage control for Fire damage, the rest of us just stay away lol) Approaching a Freeze/Isida train with Isida just turned the approaching Isida into attack mode only taking damage that can't be healed by another Isida.... They may as well stay at home and camp behind a bunch of Shaft/Magnum,Rails....Or ram the freeze train......... UH this has been done before.......sometime before, but the rammers could actually move, I don't so much mind Firebird, they can't immobilize players. Guess this is a trainwreck in slow motion.
-
Here is what I don't get, Freeze/fire are nothing more than damage inflicted period, nothing different than being razed by Vulcan, or splatted by Magnum. All my "work" can be undone even if I am dealing it at range, or midrange, but that is the weapon I chose, even tho I don't use it as such a lot of the times. Maybe I want Isida to stop healing Vulcan damage. (For the record, I don't, and this fire/freeze thing isn't right in my books) So basically the only way really to disrupt the Isida chain, was to insert yourself into it. Or be Shaft/Magnum. If you choose an up close weapon, you choose to die up close. Either get mobile or get heavy. (and from afar I agree, but so too was Isida a target up close and from afar probably more so than Freeze and is probably the most targetted tank in ANY battle in Tanki) And to tell you the truth, Freeze for me always was a death knell up close even without the buff. If you chose to be a long range weapon, you chose to die by others of the same ilk, just the way it is, I've been wiped out over and over and OVER by Shaft/Rail/Magnum at times dealing with the "Isida train" as well as having been caught in an Isida Freeze combo that was relentless and almost impossible BEFORE the buff. And can nullify/slow down multiple up close tanks taking away their aim. Isida couldn't. What are they going to do about that combo? Nerf Isida healing for Freeze tanks? Like I said for the special case of the Isida train, well it had to be disrupted another way. Generally up close with mayhem. I just don't think they got it right here.
