Woah, I actually won one of these? Shocker.

2 pm UTC = 10 am UTC - 4. I can't play until 3 pm, and I'm relatively sure you can't scooch it by 5-7 hours lol, no can do Zenith. ^ this. We can eventually work the minimum rank requirement higher with time and members. Personally, I'm eventually hoping for minimum Major. We're reworking the hierarchy in general, so Tanki rank doesn't matter much anymore. Unless, of course, you happen to be a Gissimo who just joined up and is clearly quite active. That's probably an instant promotion. :P

NOTE: If you have not read the first part of the series, now is a good time to do so, since you will not understand much of this story otherwise. Check it out, it's right here. Enjoy! Perhaps if the General had longer to live, He would have contemplated how He had lived his life. But alas, life is a cruel thing, and the General knew this as he stared out of His castle window. Several miles beyond the city lay the Unholy Mountains, and a few miles from that, the Commander’s filthy vermin. Not too long ago, the General had found His Lordship’s city under siege, and He had sent a massive battle force to free Firma’s capital once and for all from the Commander’s ever-tightening grip. It ended in disaster. The General’s forces were now either scattered or dead, or worse, lost in the Unholy Mountains, where their souls would wander for the rest of eternity. The General shuddered. He knew it could have been worse – he had lost valuable officers and soldiers to the Commander’s damned Spirit Men. These were special forces from The Swarm which had harnessed the powers of the afterlife, and “converted” unwilling beings to their will. Poor souls, the General thought, and he crossed himself with the symbol of Firma – 2 hands patting each other thrice – then went down below to the officers’ quarters. As always, He gathered all His remaining trustworthy officers, fourteen in all, and discussed the situation. And again, as always, His officers argued amongst themselves which battle plan would be most effective for Firma’s perseverance. Then a special guest of the General’s, one of the most effective spies He had ever met, spoke up: “My lord, we cannot win the war this way. The Commander’s forces attack at nightfall and it is already dusk. I have already tried to scramble His troops and demoralize Him, but alas, He did not purge The Swarm as intended. We have mere hours to spare, and though the Silent Knights still stand proud, they alone cannot defend the city.” The General nearly fainted. The Commander had not considered mercy after all. He had sent nearly all of the city’s treasure, saving it multiple times, but apparently that was not enough – the Commander wanted the famous Dark Iron Gates to fall. “I – I see. Will you not try and convince Him to leave the city alone for perhaps a week? Our preparations are nearly done and reinforces are on the way. We only need a week. A week.” “He refused when I asked. I tried to scare Him off by lying about how many Dragons we still have soon after He sent me down, but our city has stood too long in His path.” The General had to stop Himself from screaming at the unfairness of it all. A massive army from several still-powerful cities of Firma was coming to the Capital’s aid, but when they arrived, they would find the once-great center of the galaxy in ruins. He considered a suicidal retreat with His army and mercenaries in the direction of help, but found that He no longer held the resolve to do so. “We will stay and fight. Hopefully we can hold on long enough for backup to arrive.” The spy nodded, as did many other senior officers. “I surmise I am dismissed then?” “Your guess is correct. Try to delay the Commander’s forces as much as humanely possible.” “Yes sir.” The spy stood up to leave the room but paused at the door when the General held His hand up. “Thank you for your service, we could not have made it this far without your valuable misinformation to the Commander.” “You’re welcome sir.” Drachen smiled as he left the room. The third arc of this series should be coming out later than I expected, since school is really weighing me down, sorry about that. :*(
